@faustina, I think the 8 will be fine for you. I have the 8 and am usually a 10 in toast shirts, so it is plenty big, but not in a massively oversized way. The 10 also fitted me, so if you are a bit smaller than me (which I think you might be), I don’t think the 8 will be too big. I can wear it on its own buttoned up, or with a tshirt or even a thin sweater underneath. Fingers crossed it fits, as it is totally fab.

ElizabethBennetismybestfriend · 15/07/2022 14:17

I have the 8 in the slate shirt and it is a very generous fit

faustina · 15/07/2022 14:32

Thanks both! Yes, am hoping to wear as a light jacket too (as if I didn't have enough jackets). I love that slate colour - have a pair of trousers in the same shade and they've faded so nicely

ScottishMouse · 15/07/2022 14:49

It’s such a useful colour @faustina. Works with black and with most navy shades too.

Snowyowl78 · 15/07/2022 15:52

@faustina I’ve got the 10 in the Brass version as the 12 was too big. I am in no way a 10 :)

faustina · 15/07/2022 16:21

@Snowyowl78 - thank you. Fingers crossed!

ScottishMouse · 15/07/2022 17:28

Going back to the loungewear/nightwear as daywear theme….I am packing for a trip south from Scotland, and wondering how I will cope with and dress for the crazy temps that are forecast. I have this, and wonder if it crosses the line too far into nightwear to be worn out. It it long on me and airy, but I would never have considered wearing it past the garden before.

It's the neverending sale!

A couple more Ikat placemats as I really liked the two I bought earlier and regretted not getting more.Otherwise- hands away from keyboard (unless Japanese trousers)....I hope.

dudsville · 15/07/2022 18:01

I sent a return on Wednesday and got the email of the refund today. That's so quick!

MrsCat1 · 15/07/2022 18:26

@ScottishMouse That looks absolutely fine to wear as a dress to me. I wouldn't hesitate! Lovely and cool for these temperatures.

I have taken to wearing all my toast nightwear as day wear. I have convinced myself that when I add bangle, necklace and bag I’m good to go. However, my proviso is that I haven’t actually worn them to bed as well!

AFingerofFudge · 15/07/2022 19:23

I have just received an email to say I'm not wanted at a "share your thoughts" workshop at my local Toast. Bah.

faustina · 15/07/2022 19:45

Me too Fudge. They said they based it on availability and numbers who responded so it's probably only going to happen at bigger Toasts than my local shop. Another Bah from me

faustina · 15/07/2022 19:47

@ScottishMouse - I think that dress looks ok. How see through is it?

ScottishMouse · 15/07/2022 19:59

@ilovecherries , this sounds like a good approach!
@faustina , not at all see through, it is a double layer of cotton.
I think I will bring it along and see. I have no idea how I am going to even go outside in the temps being forecast though, I start to fade at about 20 degrees!

ScottishMouse · 15/07/2022 20:00

How disappointing @AFingerofFudge ans @faustina. I hope someone here will be able to represent us and our many opinions!

Laska2Meryls · 15/07/2022 20:10

I got a No also.....I expect its just the usual favoured few....

TheChattyRat · 15/07/2022 20:12

Triple bah - I also got the thanks but no thanks email 🥲
Would be great if one of us got in!
I wouldn’t see that as a nightie @ScottishMouse looks lovely and wafty!
I’ve now got four toast sale parcels winging their way to me 😳 there seemed to be a lot back in stock this morning. I’m also relieved the sale is only on for three more days (and so is my bank balance!)
On the that’s not my age blog today she is wearing a Toast shirt which looks fab, it may be a different colour of the shirt / jacket some of you have bought?
Also another brand I like the look of (but haven’t bought from) is seventy and mochi.
Sorry I can’t do links as on my phone.

TheChattyRat · 15/07/2022 20:12

Cross posted @Laska2Meryls quadruple bah!

dudsville · 15/07/2022 20:37

I'm also not invited, saves me worrying about the awkwardness of attending!

I've also put stuff into and out of my basket all day. I'm really struggling to reign it back in but have managed so far not to buy anything since Wednesday, and they'll arrive tomorrow and I'll send back what i can and then I'll try really, really hard not to buy anything else (except the dungarees and jumper!).

Snowyowl78 · 15/07/2022 20:37

@AFingerofFudge @faustina Bah from me too! Surprisingly as I said I was available all days. Unreasonably disappointed haha

faustina · 15/07/2022 20:46

I wonder if we're on a blacklist because of this thread? I guess a Toast blacklist would be 'washed black' or 'darkest slate' with embroidery

Snowyowl78 · 15/07/2022 20:49

it must be people who said they were available in the mornings, or potentially London has the highest concentration of volunteers so other areas not getting a look in?

Snowyowl78 · 15/07/2022 20:51

@faustina haha indeed never just black!

dudsville · 15/07/2022 21:01

😂@faustina ! And the last of attendees would be on burnt orange, acidic yellow and a random green.
