WWW's six week ten year younger boot camp, WEEK TWO, 2008

This is week 2 of the first WWW 10year younger boot camp of 2008. Hello everyone.

Anyone can join, we promise it works and you will feel and look better - and maybe younger - if you follow these rules.

This is about being healthy and feeling and looking better as a result. It's not a diet (although weight loss does seem to occur fairly frequently)

THE RULES ARE:

  • Sunscreen at all times, even though it's winter
  • No or little booze in the week. Wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can. Many of us have an Omron pedometer
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream/foot cream too, we recommend Flexitol, which is fantastic stuff
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that at the end of six weeks we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

Am sitting in the hall waiting for DD1 to go to sleep. Am listening to the sodding Thomas CD singing "patience is a virtue/ it will never hurt to/ take a little time to see...." aarrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

Have felt rather manky today. Perhaps due to yesterday's excesses and perhaps as my system has enjoyed no booze, lots of veg, fresh air, water etc. Lovely day wth kids though, they are so delicious at the moment, even though DD2 bites and DD1 doesn't sleep. Next week I am going to read the thread properly and reply to people rather than just blather on about myself

WWW, I get cases of fizz from majestic. They are doing a splendid offer at the moment - if you are a new customer introduced by an old customer, you both can get a voucher for a free bottle. Can't be bad. I would be happy to introduce you if you are not already of the faith . I think batters may have suggested laithwaites though, who are fantastic for advice and info. I am clearly just falling into the old lush category.

Thanks for the thread this week ladies and here's to a good one next week.

Ohh I've eaten very well this weekend, but not stuffed, does that make sense?

We had bacon and cheese oatcakes yesterday for brunch, first time in months, blardy lovely.

Today for lunch we had duck and orange pate with lovely bread and naice crisps, then a roast for tea (we rarely have a roast with DH working lots of weekends combined with the boys' commitments).

Also managed plenty of grapes, tomatoes and salad leaves to redress the balance, lol.

And I shared some Lindt orange truffles although if I'm honest, only because I didn't particularly like them.

Haven't consumed any alcohol, will need that on Tuesday following the funeral.

I have also managed about 45 minutes walking, alongside 30 min exercise bike. I'm very pleased, just wish I could make the time more often.

lol www - I don't do veg at the best of times. I do eat loads of fruit though, and am still enjoying the salad leaves

www - I'm 22 weeks (or 5 months in old money).

Are we having a new thread...?

WideWebWitch · 20/01/2008 22:07

I am much fitter now than at any time since having DD1 6 years ago. Pregnancies 2 & 3 saw me in maternity clothes from about 8 weeks! I'm hoping it doesn't take another 3 years to get this fit again.
