Brown seems to be the colour of the season - I went to Massimo Dutti yesterday and brown was e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. I like This but prob not enough to pay£195.

I like the shape of that @Saurus72 but not enough to pay that either and not in that colour.

What is everyone hoping to see on an actual human being in the video on the 12th?

because it’s hard to see how it’s actually supposed to look on the model at the back.

I also like the shorts especially in the slate.

simply because I have 2 similar tops (although they are jersey) from Boden from 4/5 years ago and are one of the most worn tops I have for summer. Interested to see how this fits in poplin. May be a disaster.

So would like to see it on a hooman - but not so keen on the price! Possibly one for the sale.

That top is gorgeous but it’s dry clean only! For what is essentially a sun top. They cannot be serious. I’m pretty lax about washing dry clean clothes but to put that on that top would suggest to me they know the cotton isn’t pre shrunk and the dye isn’t set.

Having said that, I do have last years version which was a cotton linen blend. Navy with white and yellow. Bought it from eBay for around £30 and it is a lovely top, sits beautifully. And it’s washable

I like pretty much all the new tops which isn’t good news! Have ordered a few of the easy tees as I love that yellow version and also the linen blue stripe. The shorts look really long- down to the knee on the model and she’s probably very tall.

The easy tees are lovely looking @Snowyowl78 . How does the sleeve hang? It looks sort of brown on iykwim.

i have taken the plunge and ordered the Fracap ola as nothing else was jumping out at me elsewhere. I will report on the fit.

one of the reasons I liked the look of the shorts was the length but I am shortish. Difficult to get a short of a just right length.

My deliveries are due Monday.

They are perfect imo. Good sleeve length on me about half way down the upper arm. Quite baggy I suppose, but I like that, I already have the Coal and the rust coloured one, and have ordered more! Bit expensive.

Please do report on the shorts @Countmeout . It’s been a lifetime’s work to find a pair of shorts that look good on me. And they look good. But £165?! The text calls them “unstudied shorts”. 😂

Visited the Notting Hill shop today and left underwhelmed by the Summer collection bits in store. Most of the colours didn't suit me but, even if they had, I'm not sure I would have been wowed.

Only thing that appealed (and I tried on) was the Bright Ticking Stripe Dress - absolutely gorgeous material. Didn't end up buying it as the neckline/bodice was not quite right for my larger bust and the armholes were cut too low for me (showing bra). Bought some consolation socks.

Is that the blue dress @Stoic123 ? I tried that on a while ago, but didn’t buy it for the same gaping armhole reason. Really lovely though.
I had a browse today but was also underwhelmed with the new stock. I bought a consolation basket 😆

Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me asking a couple of questions on your lovely thread! (Apologies if they've been covered already earlier on).

I am dithering between 2 navy jackets, and wondered if anyone on here had either of them, and could advise on how they fit etc:

I'm after a spring/Summer jacket that's something a bit different to a denim jacket, and these look hopeful, but I'm trying to avoid ordering both in case I end up not wanting to send either one back

Also, does stuff ever come back into stock on the website? I'm kicking myself for not buying a shirt when I tried it on in store a few weeks ago, and now it's out of stock online, and I can't get to a physical store until the end of the month grrr (the ash check shirt https://www.toa.st/collections/womens-tops-tees/products/ash-check-ruffle-neck-shirt-citrus in case you were wondering - I loved the shape and sleeves on it!)

I have the Blackhorse jacket - it's v nice - but it is v much stiff heavyishdenim- quite long and straight fitting.

I don't have the other jacket but have trousers in the same fabric - not strictky denimy and a bit the other extreme - a bit floppy for my taste...

Think you need to order both / see them in rl if possible #unhelpful 😀

@RockaLock , I can’t help with the jackets, but on the out of stock shirt…yes, things do sometimes come back in stock. The other option is that if you ask CS on the online chat, they will tell you if any stores have the item in stock, and then you can call them directly and do a mail order. They charge for delivery for this, but they usually use DPD and get it to you quickly.

I have the hemp jacket (I think if it’s the one I bought in September last year) and I love it . It is neat as the description says, I usually wear it just buttoned up without anything under it . Beautiful blue colour and soft enough to wear comfortably but not floppy if you know what I mean . One of my most favourite Toast purchases .

All Toast comes up mostly big to HUUUGE as you may or may not know. The neat jacket looks... neater 😀

It would be so helpful if they actually had photos of each item on a model, though, on their website. That does annoy me a bit.

I am actually so pleased that I dont like any of the new drop!

So the poplin sleeveless tank thing is winging it’s way back . It’s too square and possibly too big too although I ordered it in my usual Toast size. It’s lovely quailty as usual, I might order it in a smaller size just to see if it looks less boxy if it ever goes into sale. It’s the sort of thing anyone handy with a needle could make , sadly I am not.

Fracap ola - best of the fisherman’s sandals I’ve tried so am keeping but will have to get an extra hole punched in the strap. I don’t feel so bad about the price as I’m returning the poplin tank. I love them with trousers and I’m a bit fed up wearing trainers atm. Not so sure with dresses but only had a quick try on with a dress and think they may suit a couple of other dresses I have. They probably are a bit narrow, may not suit a broad foot.

I have this dress (eBay purchase last year) but the grey is not great on me . I was going to try dying it. I thought navy but can you think of another colour that might work? And I assume I’d have to take the bit of material out pulling it in round the neck.

Unfortunately I like all of my new summer purchase although I’ll have to send some of them back as have overspent somewhat. The yellow and stripe blue easy tees are lovely so I’m keeping those, the Montella one is basically khaki, I thought it would be a bit of a different colour so I’ll prob return that as I already have it in rust and can’t imagine choosing it over the others. The blue tank is also lovely and I struggle finding sleeveless tops that look good on me. I bought the spice poplin shirt which I really like but in reality I’m not sure I would ever actually put it on. It’s quite unusual. Expensive though and I’d probably just get it out from time to time and then put it back into the wardrobe. Going to hang onto the Montella linen twill jacket in the hope that it goes into the sale and then swap it!
