@ilovecherries thanks that’s very helpful!

Snowyowl78 · 19/04/2022 16:14

I’ve got quite a few Emma’s (not the new stripy ones) and they are quite loose and easy fitting. As they are swingy at the bottom they are quite loose.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/04/2022 22:26

I ordered a t-shirt and a skirt from Kemi Telford. Their returns were fine and I was refunded pretty quickly but felt i just threw money away on postage and delivery as neither were not free. Also incredibly fussy about how an item is returned and If I remember right, I had to email Kemi Telford to say I was posting my item back. A lot of fussiness.

Countmeout · 20/04/2022 08:01

Yes I went to look at the website @neveradullmoment99 After it was mentioned above and apart from the fact you have to pay both ways (which I avoid strenuously) I felt I couldn’t have coped with all the directions in order to return something. Do they have shops does anyone know? It’s not a brand I’m familiar with.

ScottishMouse · 20/04/2022 08:06

Can anyone comment on the Steve Mono sandals. I tried the leather ones last year but found them stiff, and a bit narrow (I have a wide foot). Am wondering if the suede would be more forgiving though. Has anyone got them? I am a 5.5 usually, but can get away with a 5 in sandals most of the time. How have you found sizing? Thanks.

ScottishMouse · 20/04/2022 08:07

Have just re-read that post with a huge sense of deja vu. I think I may have asked this before!
The other sandals k am considering are the newer Saltwaters with the thick soles (like the kids ones). I’ve worn the classic ones for years and love them, but wonder how the thicker soles ones compare. Anyone tried them?

Laska2Meryls · 20/04/2022 12:59

I wore my blue fine striped shirt yesterday over my yellow Emma tee and some denim culottes (from Article Green) and felt really good in it . I have the pecan one arriving tomorrow , but i think that it will be too big as could only get a 14... but was pleased to pick up the Garment Dyed Linen Swingy Shirt in Copper today in M so hoping that will do instead ..

countmeout John Lewis stock some Kimi Telford clothes on their website.

Plumpcious · 20/04/2022 17:10

There are some Kemi Telford dresses on the TK Maxx website at the moment.

Countmeout · 21/04/2022 08:08

Thanks @Gonegrey31 and @Plumpcious .
the stuff looks much more attractive on her website.

meanwhile I’ve spotted a summer dress I might like on Baukjen. Anyone know anything about the fit or if returns if necessary are likely to be troublesome?

ilovecherries · 21/04/2022 14:35

I’ve never had any trouble with baukjen returns although they aren’t very fast with them.

applecatchers36 · 21/04/2022 17:44

Fit with Baukjen is your standard dress size, so no need to size down as per Toast. I ordered a dress recently in 2 sizes and the normal size was the best fit. Returns are fine if slow same experience as ilovecherries

Countmeout · 22/04/2022 08:02

Thank you @ilovecherries and @applecatchers36 , that’s good to know.

AFingerofFudge · 23/04/2022 07:51

Coming home today, spent the week wearing either the burgundy Oxford dress or the lime check dress. Felt ok until I saw a photo of myself where I looked ginormous and it rather spoilt it all. Yes I've put weight on and I do massively battle with body acceptance but I think I am still not there with being happy in the skin I am in.

Anyway, we've had a lovely time and I do love my dresses even if I feel very large in them!

AFingerofFudge · 23/04/2022 07:52

Also I meant to say there seems to be a random new item on an advert for Toast I saw on my Instagram. It's a short sleeved denim shirt. It looks good!

Countmeout · 23/04/2022 10:21

Also a new live video on 12th May I spotted and yet another brown dress 😕

Laska2Meryls · 23/04/2022 17:08

I bought the copper swingy shirt, having given up on the pecan fine stripe one ( the 14 was too big and it was too brown).. copper shirt is lovely and very versatile either worn on its own or over another tee or short..
I can't seem to be able to post photos direct from my phone to this new site any longer .. V annoying !
Ill have to try another way....

There is also another check dress on the website.
The Pleated Ginham dress.
Apols if already mentioned-have not been on much due to dreadful new site!
Its nice enough but for £150 I really think the checks should be lined up.
I doubt it would suit me as can imagine the pleats would sit over my boobs causing a matronly effect 😅
Ive ordered another denim pinafore as Im living in the one I have and also ordered the Batik Square Tank.
I do already have the dress and love the fabric.

TosstTastic · 24/04/2022 09:45

Well the refund has finally been sorted on the 22nd April.
Arrived at Toast on the 28th March with another parcel which was processed.
I flagged it, told to wait ten working days.
I flagged it again, told to wait 3 to 5 days.
Flagged it again, told it would be put through manually in 3 to 5 working days, was actually done in 24 hours. So finally exceeded expectations.
The email phrasing from Toast was poor, left me feeling even crosser. And I have been offered a 15% off code before the 30th April which feels so mean, it has made me feel sader than if they'd not bothered.

So I think I'm done with Toast, other companies are nailing the quality basics - Cos, etc
And my gift to you - kirakuclothing.com/collection.html
The website is a bit weird but the customer service and fabrics excellent. The pattern cutting is really detailed. Mix it in with your wardrobe. You pay for returns but the sizing is predictable.

goldenshoe · 26/04/2022 10:27

Really enjoying catching up on this thread and seeing everyone's thoughts on various items!

I posted previously as I bought the Seersucker Cotton Dress but decided I didn't love it enough to justify the price when it arrived and sent it back. A size 12 fitted me perfectly, when I'm usually a 14 in that sort of style in other shops. I kept the cotton easy tees which I'm regretting a bit as they feel a little too big in a medium, but they look nice tucked.

My latest purchase is the tan Fracap Ola Sandals which arrived yesterday and are an absolute dream. Pricey, but I have such annoying feet that feel uncomfortable in 90% of shoes so I can justify the price for the comfort!

Also bought DH a stripy tee for his birthday too.

I'm back to lusting over the croft green Fine Stripe Cotton Linen Dress but I'm hoping it will still be around in the sale...

@ScottishMouse I've just stuck a pair of the thicker soled Saltwater sandals on Ebay, they didn't work for my (aforementioned) annoying feet. They come up quite big and felt just as wide as the flat style despite what it says on the Saltwater website. If you're in between sizes I'd definitely size down.

Hi @goldenshoe , I just came on to ask if anyone had the Fracap ola sandals and there you are! I have just received a pair in a similar style from Oliver Bonas but they hit my toe and are unwearable in my usual size (5) . How do you find the sizing? They’re a bit speedy especially as I’ve already bought a tan pair similar style elsewhere too, but now feeling the lack of a black pair, don’t know if I can be annoyed to find other cheaper alternatives and might find the same problem with those.
