I ordered the Loden Gabis and had high hopes as the colour is gorgeous and I thought they'd go with so much. The Gabis also get a lot of love on here so I thought they'd be just what I was looking for....but no. It seems I am totally the wrong shape for them. I ordered a size down and to be fair they do fit, but they look awful. The legs are too short, which would be fine if they looked half reasonable on my bum, but they make my bum look huge. Then they also look terrible on my stomach, there is so much loose fabric there? It looks like I have a nappy on underneath is the best way I can describe it. The waist fits well and they're lovely and soft, but they are just so unflattering from every angle! I felt really rubbish in them. A size up would definitely be too big and any smaller and they'd be too small on my hips and bum. So I think I've concluded that they aren't the trouser shape for me

I had a similar but slightly different issue. The size 10 legs were too shirt and tight but the 12s perfect. Except the waist and stomach area are huge. I ignored this and bought several pairs convincing myself they would work with long tops.🤦‍♀️ I keep meaning to take them in but it will probably happen when I need to wear them.

Solidarity @AmethystMoonShine! My newest pair of Toast trousers is more a decade old. They seem to have entirely lost the art of tailoring trousers that fit (me). It's all elasticated waistbands, dropped crotches, cropped legs and complete obliviousness to feedback. sobs

Oh dear amethyst that’s really put me off the Gabi! Sounds flipping awful.

I have the same problem with the Alix trousers. Everyone seems to love them but they are too short on me and I am 5 ft 1

trust me, it’s not that I’m slinky!!

Are these trousers lined? I've just sent back some unlined sale trousers, wool, winter weight but totally unlined.

The Gabis aren’t lined. The ones I tried were light cotton.

I love the gabis and think they’re perfect work spring trousers. The waist is v high though, I never tuck things in as they just look silly. Soooo comfortable though, I’ve been wearing them instead of jeans.

I'm just sending back two items received by mail order from Toast which arrived in dreadful and unacceptable condition. A bit of creasing is one thing - both items arrived like wrung out dish cloths. Quality control is abysmal these days sadly.

I sent back two parcels on the same day, both arrived, one processed, still waiting on the other one over a week later. Have been told to wait two weeks from arrival before chasing again!

I am disappointed by the new Fracap Eve sandals in the olive and sand colour. The sand colour is too orangey and the leather on both pairs doesn't seem as soft as the black ones. Will be returned

@savvy7, thanks for the post as I was looking at the olive ones having bought the blue ones last year. I can confirm that the blue ones are supersoft but the single drawback is that my little toe catches on the last strap at the top of the sandal.

laska made me do it. 😂. I was so impressed by her photo in the blue Oxford I bought it. It should look massive but somehow it doesn’t. It’s one of those perfect Toast garment that fits where it’s meant while still being relaxed. Anyway, as it’s Baltic in Scotland today I’m wearing it with Heatgen underneath, black skinnies (I know, shoot me now) and the cobalt blue lofty alpaca cardigan from three years ago.

In other return news I returned my Arket order Inc paperbag linen trousers that were too big and it seems to have been processed so quickly and efficiently come on Toast you need to up your game!

Hooray Cherries! Did you get the 'old' Oxford shirt or the new poplin one ? Mine is the old version ...I just love it and yes its just the perfect shape on me, I also have the white old version ( both bought in the sale).
I was wondering if much of the weekend sample sale Toast stuff has appeared on ebay , but cant really tell, .. what does anyone else think?
I have managed to catch covid after 2 years successful avoidance ( and luckily it seems mild) , but staying in and have lots of scrolling time !!🤣 ..So far I have managed to buy a pair of boots from Celt and co and a Hush shirt ... I also have a few Toast things in my basket !

I returned a dress to Hobbs by post last Thursday and also one to JL and both have been already refunded ... So yes Toast definitely needs to up its game...

Well I returned a dress from Toast and it took just a couple of days. to refund. So its variable. However, it is ridiculous the way they have treated customers in the past.

Not RTFT but just looked at the Toast web site and they have a Large Dot Cotton Scarf

What do Toast mean by a ‘dry hand feel’?! I have seen this a few times and have no idea what it means. I got the Slate Jersey Shirt in the post and I really like it even though it’s wildly expensive. Have ordered a L to check if better than the M but I’m going to wear it like a little jacket. I also ordered the crinkle cut check tops in Marigold and Slate but they’re going back as I didn’t feel they were particular flattering, they are nice though, if slightly stiff and boxy. Love the Dot Cotton scarfs!
