I have two pairs of 3/4 length Toast pyjama bottoms (red/rust acorn and teal block pattern ) that I often wear as summer trousers.. They are very lightweight though, but good quality cotton...
I was actually wondering about doing the same with the red drop ones

If anyone goes to the Toast sample sale at the Mayfair branch, please would you report back on how it was? I was planning to go today but Covid has got me. Hoping to hear about other people's purchases!

Oh no! Well I am nowhere near it! Although I think they are having one in Edinburgh, Its really a day trip for me on the train. I'm just after having covid. Family still have it!
ilovecherries · 01/04/2022 13:10

We are a covid house as well. DH and me still dodging it but dd is still testing positive on day 10.

Ok I tried to go. I rocked up to an absolutely huge line. And then it started to snow! I saw the price list in the window, it was very good indeed. Dresses £40/coats £75/tops £30/knits £40 (approximately, I don’t recall exactly) so flat pricing. I bet there were some amazing bargains!
ilovecherries · 01/04/2022 13:30

No doubt a load of stuff will appear on eBay next week.

Either that or there are most Toast fans than I thought possible!
ScottishMouse · 01/04/2022 13:48

In Edinburgh too you say @neveradullmoment99? I don’t see that advertised. I am only a mile or so away though, may pop by and see.

I may have imagined that @ScottishMouse Oh I think it was Toast circle!
neveradullmoment99 · 01/04/2022 14:02

Do they ever do archive sales in Edinburgh?
Wish they would do online.
I loved them!

faustina · 01/04/2022 14:09

Hope all the covid-y people feel better soon. I am way too busy this weekend - delayed birthdays (x2) and mothers day celebration all in one, so currently baking - not wearing a Toast apron either! Mine is from Seasalt - identical to toast except cheaper and can highly recommend

Saurus72 · 01/04/2022 15:11

Ah sad times @AuldFox - will you try again tomorrow? I too have been struck with Covid and while I’m not longer contagious I still feel really rubbish so won’t be going either. I bought a dress from Sezane last week and I really like it, though no pockets 😬.

AuldFox · 01/04/2022 16:10

I don’t think I will Saurus! A friend of mine got in and told me the vast majority of the stock was size 8-10. So if anyone needs a bigger size, there may only be very little available. I have no idea if they will have any stock left tomorrow, and the line is bound to be even longer as it’s the weekend. Shame, the prices are like the archive sales of yore.

Think I’ll spend tomorrow cuddled in bed in my Toast pyjamas with a good book! Brrr.

ScottishMouse · 01/04/2022 16:40

Ah that’s a shame that it’s not on in Edinburgh too. I just saw the queues in London on Instagram though, I don’t have the patience for that!

applecatchers36 · 01/04/2022 17:02

Have just been to Mayfair. The queue was slightly better this afternoon they said, this morning people waited 2 hrs and it snowed and this afternoon was 60-90 mins and the sun came out. The stock was largely smaller sizes but they did have some larger sizes still left. Lots of coats/Mac's lots of denim dresses/ tunics still left. Larger sized shoes/sandals. Big queue for changing room so just tried a few tops in front of a mirror. Got some bargain Gabi's for next winter, a PJ shirt, some jeans and a dress that am praying will for when I get home ha! They were busy and heard the girls saying they haven't got a lot of stock to still put out.

Jumping on the nightwear question, does anyone have the cotton dhuggie? I'm wondering about the ukiyo print one as a summer dress (I don't like my arms) but it wasn't in the Bath store when I was there and I'm also unsure on sizing. I'd love it if anyone has any info.

This is the one I found to be very thin, I could see my hand through the fabric ( black colourway) Would probably be ok around the house/ garden but a bit flimsy for out and about imho

The Seersucker dress size 8 arrived and it fits really well but the V is even deeper and stands away from my boobs so that one glance down and you can see the entire front of my bra.
Literally both cups.
So its going back.
Seems that I need to take a size 8 as my starting point for toast dresses though.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/04/2022 19:12

I managed to order the coffee bean garment linen washed dress. It arrived a few days ago and have worn it already. I absolutely love it. Its such a simple shape and I feel totally 'me' in it. I ordered the small in the green yesterday. It came today and its slightly neater on the bust. I have about a stone at least to lose so think I will keep. Was a bit dissapointed by the green. Thought It would be more of an apple green but Its got a slight olive hue through it. More a dusty green colour than the vibrant green on my laptop. Its still lovely though and intend to wear with a tee under it for now and tights and trainers.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/04/2022 19:14

It does crease a lot but I am not bothered by it. Something to consider.

This dress.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/04/2022 19:15

It really is not too wide. I really don't understand the reviews.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/04/2022 19:16

I will keep and wear this dress for years I think.

tentative3 · 02/04/2022 19:20

Thanks @TempleofZoom, saves me ordering and sending back.

Oh fab So glad you got it in the end. I think as the small fits a size 12 then those who are a 6 or an 8 are probably swamped by the XS, particularly if they arent tall. Its one of those dresses that you can just put on a feel great in. I hope they do some other colours .
neveradullmoment99 · 02/04/2022 20:29

Other colours would be great!
