@TheChattyRat

I also found the J Lo bit cringey - she said it quite a few times too. Otherwise I enjoyed the video but it was all clothes that we (as toast super fans Grin ) have seen before. I like the sailor dress too.

I have a positive toast purchase to report - the tie neck chambray top. Really like this on, unusual shape and nice fabric.

@Laska2Meryls love your most recent post! Very apposite

I have the chambray tie blouse as well - love it too. It makes me feel like I’ve made a bit of an effort without actually making any effort at all, it’s so comfy!

My birthday trip to Toast went almost too well today! I ended up going to the Marylebone store, which was very well stocked for its size.

I bought the seersucker dress (which is what I was after but was worried I’d missed out as it sold out online). It’s so gorgeous. And also bought 2 pairs of Gabis (soft black and loden). I was tempted by so much - I quite like the murky palette.

Happy to share some pics if anyone is interested (I’m 5’10”).

Just got my refund notification for my sale fails and it's missing some items. All from the same order, return form processed at the same time, all in the same package sent back.

NoCureForLove · 28/03/2022 20:27

Always keen to see pics! Grin

NoCureForLove · 28/03/2022 20:29

GRRR Terrier. MADDENING!

Countmeout · 28/03/2022 20:33

Really annoying @TerrierOrTerror. I can’t understand how that’s happening. Is someone opening stuff and it dropping out and them not noticing.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/03/2022 20:44

@NoCureForLove

GRRR Terrier. MADDENING!
That is shocking. I know a few others on here who have had the same. Honestly think its best to order only one thing at a time at this rate. Hope you get it sorted.
billydilly · 28/03/2022 21:35

@FiddleFigs I was in the Marylebone shop yesterday! I bought the yellow circle skirt; love it, nice heavy fabric and good length on short-arse me- it sure does go spinny..

Ooh I love that yellow skirt. Such an excellent weight.

FiddleFigs · 28/03/2022 22:43

@NoCureForLove - here are a couple of pics. The Gabis in Loden, and the seersucker dress. I’m really pleased with my little haul. No more new clothes now for a good while!

Very nice on you! I have the dress too, but haven't worn it yet... Maybe tomorrow...

lordloveadog · 28/03/2022 22:56

Figs, both of those look fabulous on you!

lordloveadog · 28/03/2022 23:03

Which is better shop, Bond St or Marylebone?

You look very cool and Toast-esque. They really suit you.

Saurus72 · 29/03/2022 10:15

@FiddleFigs you look lovely, though I know what it’s like when Toast shopping goes a bit too well 😊

FiddleFigs · 29/03/2022 10:24

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

I'm so glad I found Toast - I was in a bit of personal style wilderness post-kids, bumbling around in a safe uniform of jeans and stripy t-shirt, feeling not-me for an age. It feels good to feel good in clothes again.

@lordloveadog - I really liked the Marylebone store, but haven't been the Mayfair/Bond St one to compare - they're relatively close to each other though (15 min walk), so depending on how much time you have, you could visit both.

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 29/03/2022 10:31

@FiddleFigs could you tell me what size dress you are wearing please? And your height? I want to put an order in for it but unsure what size to go for. I'm 5ft 6 and dress size 8 in Toast usually, but I am puny of chest and short bodied so v-neck lines can gape to much on me.

I love the Marylebone store mostly because I enjoy sauntering along Marylebone High St - excellent charity shops and Daunts bookshop 😍

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 29/03/2022 10:33

That should say "can gape too much..." (oh the shame!)

FiddleFigs · 29/03/2022 11:18

@SirSidneyRuffDiamond I'm 5'10" and wearing a 10 (which is my usual Toast size for dresses; elsewhere I'm a 12/14). I'm fairly modest of bust, and don't have any gaping with this neckline - it lies pretty flat, and I think the weight of the skirt helps with that (I usually have similar struggles with gaping v-necks).

ToastCosILoveIt · 29/03/2022 11:27

@FiddleFigs, agree, that dress was made for you. I am quite tempted now...

@lordloveadog, I am familiar with the Marylebone store but not the Bond Street one. In my experience, the Toast shops all tend to be fairly small (although Marylebone is bigger than Hampstead and Islington) but often have additional stock (ie sizes), including items not out on the shop floor, downstairs/out the back. An example is the alpaca cable grey cardigan which I spied on a store assistant in Hampstead and asked about it and she was able to bring one up from downstairs. So, it is worth asking if you like something but can''t see it. Having said that, I would imagine they would have all of the current stock on the shop floor. i have been in a few Toast shops since the spring stock however and have yet to see the beaded collar shirt in the flesh.

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 29/03/2022 11:50

Thank you @FiddleFigs. I reckon I'll order the 8 then and see. It looks a great length on you - some Toast dresses seem a bit awkwardly short this season, but not this one.

Plumpciousness · 29/03/2022 12:33

I've been to the Dering Street ('Mayfair') store once or twice and it seemed sparsely stocked. But maybe it's just more spread out. I prefer the Marylebone store but can't say with certainty that it holds more stock. It's definitely cosier though.

Snowyowl78 · 29/03/2022 14:07

Anyone tried one of these yet- the Fine Crinkle check Cotton Dress? No reviews yet but keen to know what it’s like fit/length/sleeve wide!

www.toa.st/products/fine-crinkle-check-cotton-dress-marigold

Snowyowl78 · 29/03/2022 14:17

*Sleeve wise I meant, not sleeve wide!

Saurus72 · 29/03/2022 14:18

I tried the black one @Snowyowl78 - I posted some pictures on this thread on Friday, so probably a few pages back by now. It is ludicrously oversized - I’m a RL 14 and the small was tent-like. Returning.
