Hi @ShangPie, I have never been to a sample sale but I am imagining that much of it will be sales stuff from recent/past seasons that hasn't sold.

Might be wrong though....

It's odd isn't it? I've also been wondering what they plan to sell, because they have a couple of outlet stores where they sell their previous season stuff already. It doesn't seem to make much sense to go to all the trouble to ship it all to London for a couple of days - unless they are genuine samples, in which case it might be more interesting. It's all cash only and no returns so it could be!

I love a sample sale....... Am in Cheltenham though and really can't travel to London just for a TOAST sample sale..... hmmmm

I just watched the Toast video and wondered whether those comments were from a Mumsnet Toastie. We’ll done for persisting but they didn’t want to bite!

if anyone else was waiting, the cheaper cotton/linen nice shirt/jackets are back in stock - the ones in pecan and that lovely shade of blue. I've just ordered one to try

Yes, I have the pecan one @faustina. Wearing it today, although it is almost too warm in the unseasonable sunshine here.
I have an 8, it is very big. I would never usually be an 8 in Toast tops, more like a 10 or sometimes even 12, but I can even get a sweater underneath, so definitely oversized. I imagine the 10 might be too big on you.

My disgruntlement at a decade of Toast decline seems to crystallise into irrational fury that they can't fricking light their videos properly 🤣

Faustina I have it in an 8, this has been my "usual" Toast size in most items. I have been wearing my blue one mostly as a jacket, it is plenty big enough for this. I do love it, tempted by the pecan colour.

I despair! I’m a size 14, usually Toast dress size 12. I read the description for the dress which said it is oversized. Fine - I ordered size small. It’s just arrived and it’s enormous! I’m not sure whether the photo really shows how oversized it is, but I honestly think that the small would be perfect for size 18. So this dress is pretty useless for people below that size. Wtf?!

You never know @faustina. The 10 wasn’t ridiculous on me, I just went with the 8 because it was big enough.

That is HUGE! Ridiculous oversized! What a shame and extremely frustrating.

@neveradullmoment99 honestly, I feel really exhausted by it all! Who benefits from things being so ludicrously oversized?

Fingers crossed @Gonegrey31 and @ScottishMouse. I would be wearing it as a jacket too. Maybe I'll pop into cambridge tomorrow and see if they have an 8 to try on

@Saurus72 - that is a nice dress - but the model must be wearing a small too - do you think they've pinned it back or something?

@faustina I can’t understand it, it doesn’t look like it’s pinned. I can see it’s big on the model but I would assume she’s size 8. So you would think it would be good on me. Not so!

Frustrating because the shape and fabric are both good.

how does it look when you stand like the model? 'm just thinking that chambray dress that very pretty toast woman was wearing yesterday = when she held it out, that was huge too, but it hung really well when not being held out (if you see what I mean)

I thought the chambray dress was pretty unflattering on the model in the live session. It looked super huge in orange when she held it up.

Yeah it kind of looks worse side on but that doesn’t really come across in the photo for some reason. It’s kind of Mr Man chic - round and bulbous. I mean, it’s a look 😬

I thought the orange one was horrid - also the very short (for toast) dresses. I bet no-one buys them!

My DH's comment when I tried on the Chambray dress (since returned) was "I'm sorry to say this but it makes you look positively spherical!". I had bought a size 6. He's not an unkind person, and I had asked him what he thought.

@Gonegrey31 ‘positively spherical’ is a way better way of saying ‘Mr Man’ chic - but yes, round and ball-like on top of legs, it’s not a look I’m going for 🤗

@Saurus72 have you tried holding some firewood or sitting on a step in angular shade?

Is that the fine striped one? I have ordered that today also ( in 12) hopefully it will be ok ... The bargain black Luna dress ( the one with the long sleeves ) I bought from ebay arrived and its really nice and a great fit ... Sadly I need it for a funeral but I think that it will be perfect ...ill.wear it with black leather jacket and boots
