@Stoic123 - it looks really nice with the dark tights but will also be great in the summer too

@alliscalm - was it on the shoulders that the coat pulled? If so, I had a similar experience and they really shouldn't be selling that coat. they know it's faulty!

No @faustina. It pulled across the bust. It’s a dogtooth single-breasted. Comes in black and white and a green/ochre mix tweed. Quite long, with a belt. I can’t find it online so maybe two or even three seasons old? It has normal shoulders, not raglan sleeves.

@alliscalm - yes I do have it! It's really lovely but I've hardly worn it because the minute I bought it, omicron happened. It looks at me resentfully from its coathook.

I think the coat you mentioned was on sale in the archive sale in black and white - it was lovely and I would have bought it but they didn't have my size. Please post pics when you get the new one!

So pleased with my Toast bandana that I’ve been looking for something similar. Brora have some silk squares and silk neck ties in their sale so I couldn’t resist buying a couple, hopefully as nice as the Toast ones Smile .

Anytime I’ve tried putting Toast in on the off chance all I’m getting is Emma Bridgewater.

anyway, I am sitting here wearing a surprisingly nice pair of joggers from Kin. They are sort of balloon shaped and not grey - more like the photo. I can really recommend!

also - another recommendation, if you like unusual jewellery, this is one of my favourite places to buy and it's got a big sale which ends tomorrow. I think you might have to sign up for access. I have two rings from there - the power ring and the strength one - they're made to be moved around as a distraction thing for mental health and I find they really help

You know you are the first person I’ve heard say that since I was a teenager! No one else ever seems to have heard of it. Is it true do you think? Right in the middle of the Cold War I used to fret a lot that the Beeb would go off air for some completely benign reason and it would all go to shit (I worried about a lot of thing then!)

@ilovecherries - about a month ago the Today programme really did go off air. I was in the bath at the time and there was a (fire?) alarm and they all had to go and stand outside for half an hour. It was quite exciting! Anyway, there was a discussion about the truth of the nuclear sub test thing afterwards and as far as I remember, they said it was one of the things they used to check all was still well in the world.
