Doesn't JL sale usually start on Boxing Day?

I wonder though when Toast will start their official sale ? Cant price match atm anyway!

My order isn’t getting here until Wednesday and that probably means Thursday, still in Swansea where there seems to be a black hole for things that have to go by air .
I did pay the £110 for that jumper @SmaugMum because the marzipan wasn’t on John Lewis’s website. I’m actually disappointed by the range offered at John Lewis this year.

Looking forward to seeing a picture of your orange coats. I love the colour.

@Countmeout, I love the marzipan jumper but I already have an ochre fair isle sweater that is worn non-stop from about November through to March. I’m pleased that I cracked and ordered as it is now out of stock on JL and Toast. Come on, JL, a decent reduction this evening, please!

Hmm that sale is super disappointing. Hardly anything from current season on sale. Maybe they can get away with it but it’s pretty irritating.

JL sale is starting online across all departments…not Toast as yet! I’ve got JL and SantaTracker on constant refresh!

@NoCureForLove - brora sizing depends which fit. Have a look on their website. Some of their classic stuff is quite neat, some more relaxed. It should say against the item

I think winter lasts so long here they’ll hold off reducing things like knitwear hoping it still will sell. Same with warm trousers. The woollen coats have only 2 sizes in the Miller left. They did say in one of the videos about trying to reduce what went into sale too. The only consolation is that th8ngs have a habit of popping up in subsequent sales often for quite a long time.

Sadly, it isn’t the one, and will be going back. I went for a size 10, am usually 10 or 12 in Toast. It’s very big, and swamps me. If I was taller, I think I could get away with it being oversized. But the real problem, as many of the reviews note, is the sleeves. They are a dropped shoulder, which I like in a top or knitwear, but I have now tried a few Toast jackets/coats with this style of sleeve, and I can’t say it works. The fabric is too bulky at the seam and so the sleeves stick out weirdly and then hang weirdly all the way down. I think a smaller size would have been better, but the sleeves are actually tight at the seam, so a smaller size would not have worked on the arms.
The never ending quest for a coat continues…

faustina no its a full price order , skirt and three tops. It looks like my order label has been stuck over another..Carefully peeling it away I think that I can see who its really for .. ( no one here unless any of you are an SR from Trowbridge ) .. ill talk to Toast on Monday and hopefully it can get sorted out.. in the meantime , I wonder where my long white shirt has gone?
