The kindred thing only started a couple of years ago as far as I remember - the nicest part is the free postage whatever the order year round. Actually now I come to think about it, can't you buy kindred membership for a tenner or something? Ir am I confusing it with a different thing?

Yes I think I remember them telling me I was now part of Kindred when they sent the little bag a couple of years ago. Free delivery is brilliant, especially for small orders.

I cannot even hazard a guess at how many years I have bought Toast clothes. It used to be Toast by post.

I did fall out of love with them for a while though. Everything seemed so droopy. Its better now. However I do miss some of the things they did in the past. They used to the the leggings, beautiful cord tunics to die for with an unusual twist. They did a gorgeous short skirts and gorgeous home knitted looking waistcoats. Beautiful casual soft wool blazer [ I had it] and their velvet slouchy flares. I still have a pair! Their catalogues were literally full of things that were stunning. I wanted everything.

I think the legging were churidar leggings. They were deliberately made to wrinkle at the bottom.

I had the churidar leggings @neveradullmoment99, and the slouchy velvet flares in a dull gold and also in a grey/mole colour. Bringing back fab memories.

I was never tall enough for the leggings - I remember the wonderful heavy cotton velvet gowns which were spectacular - so much nicer than the ones they do today, and the best thing I ever bought was my bargain of the century cashmere blanket - years and years ago. I've used it almost every single morning and it still looks perfect despite accidentally going in a 60 degree wash once (a terrible moment)

I had a fantastic Nordic wool wrap cardigan from a few years ago , although I sold that last year as sadly it was a size and and I will never be again..

But tbh I have only really bought from them in the past five years .. couldn't afford Toast ( or much else!) when in my 30s or 40s and in my 50s when i started to get some disposable income they went through a really odd time, where it was all a bit worthy and sack like

size 8

Does anybody own the Alix Fine Stripe Trousers? Bought them in the sale but difficult to know what they’ll be like since there is only one basic pic!

yes I do snowyowl78 really nice..they come up big.. I have the 8 and I am definitely not an 8 ( more a 12 in trousers from anywhere else )

I also got mine. I havent knowingly joined up for Kindred so no idea why. Ive ordered the fairisle scarf, Ine pjs, Field and Fleur pjs and the Koyo Dhuggie. The other thing I wanted was a cardigan but holding off in case more things go into the sale. Ive checked last years thread and a few people were annoyed as more things went into the sale later and they had already spent their budgets. I wonder if its a way of managing stock given the cancelled orders?

The sprig print easy dress arrived from JL and it is going back. It is a nice enough dress, my correct size of 12 needed for the bust, but it doesn't flatter my colouring (blonde hair, pale). On a brighter note the Hush sequinned green skirt that I also ordered in a 10 is a keeper.

My order from Toast via Royal Mail arrived in London HC on Saturday but tracking isn't showing any update. So, it looks like it won't be here for Christmas which is a shame as I was hoping to wear the silk pJ shirt and there was also a shirt from the men's range for DH, first mens purchase for many years.

They will fit you fine. I am more a 12/14 [more of a 14] and I have a size 10. They are still fairly generous.

My order from Toast is in Swansea mail centre at the moment and says it will be delivered on Wednesday 29th, which is the next working day

Mine too @Nanasueathome. Actually, I placed two orders within minutes of each other. One is still at Swansea, but one I had made it to my local delivery office. So I’m hoping the lovely orange coat will arrive today.

I have done a complete coat overhaul this year. I had a lovely tweed from Hobbs with a beautiful structure, bought about 12 years ago, but I grew out if it. Still have it in the back of the closet "just in case" as it is so lovely! I then had two water proof coats that I ruined by washing them incorrectly. As they were all big expenses I spent a good couple of years being angry with myself and therefore not replacing them.

I finally gave in this year and I'm so glad. I've got a new water proof winter coat (the ever popular north face parka in sage) , the lovely toast yellow mac, and hopefully this orange coat. I will love looking at my coat rack!

I got my email in later group. Not a Kindred member so perhaps goes Kindred, active buyers, newsletter subscribers. I'm certainly an active buyer.

Early access seems to unlock discounted price on current collection which is, I imagine, why archive sale items are visible to non-Kindred before opens up (with previous sale price - as there isn't a 'current' price to show instead). For current collection, only Kindred get earliest access to discounted price. Explains why previous archive sale was available to all at same time.

I have bought slubby dress (preffered collar to Chambray Edith) and Fair Isle Scarf. First will be useful and I couldn't resist the second as so gorgeous and all my current scarves are plain.

Well, I’ve just cracked and ordered the stripe yoke lace jumper in blue/green from JL. Full price! But there is method to my madness; it’s out of stock on Toast and there’s only one more in stock on JL. I’m convinced that JL will discount by half this evening and if not, then I will price match against the Toast sale price. Apart from my Fracap boots it’s the one thing I’ve been hankering over all winter. But I was too mean to pay £110 in the Toast sale originally! 🙈

I got the second round email yesterday but it won’t work at all on my iPad, no sale showing . Can access it on my phone and pc though.
Only 1 thing on my wish list in the sale and not available in my size, found it all a bit disappointing really.

Smaug I have done that with the Lys shirt.. ordered it earlier this week in anticipation of JL sale .. which ate usually better than Toast and its sitting here , not worn yet jic it needs to go back.. because I decided that it was worth the gamble and stopped myself reordering one from Toast in the sale . but I hope that JL will discount tonight as id love to wear it over the festivities if I can..
