@ScottishMouse, i have the wool cotton herringbone trousers in the blakc from the summer sale. I don't find them itchy at all: they are a cosy pair of trousers and I love them. The 10 is plenty big enough and I am a high street 12.

@ScottishMouse, oh, and I can get them on and off without unbuttoning them!

In the sale they're the same price as my indigo twill Alix trousers - but they really will have to be the Trousers Of My Dreams for me to keep them

@ScottishMouse, no, I wore them for the first time on Christmas day and today was the second time. i should have been wearing them more.

I went into Toast York this morning and there are several things that are beyond gorgeous in person and to feel.

The checked wool trousers and the gingham dress included. The chambray shirt is also a winner up close.

Perfect for the 'dark academic' look I'm trying for!!

Does anyone have or has anyone ever tried the flat front culottes? I’m eyeing up the slate ones but think realistically they will be too long in the leg and too tight in the waist (I only ever manage to buy elasticated waist trousers and skirts from Toast, the fixed waist ones are always too tight, but wondering if the side closure and lack of button might work…). Can anyone give me a review/sizing info?

The side leg for those are longer than the Annie @ScottishMouse from what I can see and I would say the Annie are long . I also find a side opening awkward especially as my boobs usually get in the way when fastening. I only have the Annie’s though which are a button fastening.

Oooh can I join? I have a (second) basket full of sale items at the moment.

Does anyone have the garment dyed linen jumpsuit and can tell me how it sits on them if they're tall (or indeed if they are short)? I'm almost 5'10" with long legs and toast trousers often come up short, but I'm more worried about being cut in 2 by the crotch...I love the purple.

It's really annoying for me to do returns as I am at a BFPO address. The lack of photos is often infuriating.

I am planning to go to the Toast store in Cheltenham in the morning. Fortunately I have a day off, and have some things to return. I don't really have to go as far as Cheltenham, but any excuse to get into a Toast shop!
So if anyone has anything they want a photo of, then let me know!

@plantastic - there was someone on this thread who bought that jumpsuit and it looked amazing, though I can't remember how tall they were. There was also one of the toast live events where someone was wearing it. You might be able to find that on the site? Hope you end up with the right size!

Aaarrgggh! I've returned all but the jerkin and the denim dress a few days ago and I've just noticed looking back at my orders that my denim dress should have had a belt with it. I can't believe I've only just realised! It's sold out now so I'm guessing I either put up with it or contact them and probably have to return it

... oh hang on - you said purple? I was thinking of the green jumpsuit - sorry!

I have them in Olive Leaf. They are true to size and fairly long. Im a size 12 with a small waist but hips, bum etc and they fit really nicely on the waist. I think if you carry weight round your middle it would be a struggle. They are a lovely weight and perfect for cooler summer days.

Really neat @ScottishMouse. I read some people moved the button, I bought a 10 . I’d wear a 10 in a non toast trouser. I buy 8in Gabis . I have a black pair of Alix in an 8 too and my new indigo ones (which I wish hadn’t been oos in a 6 as they’re awfully loose). I am not thin.

@plantastic I tried the purple jumpsuit but sent it back. Loved the colour, loved the fabric. I'm tallish 5ft 8" and there certainly wasn't an issue with the crotch being too high if I recall correctly. I sent it back because it made me look a bit like a sack of potatoes! Not structured enough for me but definitely worth a try.

@ScottishMouse - I have also tried the Annies and the waist was very unforgiving - not at all like the Alix and the gabis - I think the 8 fitted me, but it wasn't comfortable and went straight back (am a 6 in the other styles)

Thanks @Countmeout and @TempleofZoom. I reckon they won’t work as my middle is where my weight is, and my hips and bum are small in comparison. I’ll whip them out of my basket so.

No need to send it back. I contacted customer services when my Tala dress arrived without the sash. They said they would look in the warehouse and post it. Despite me being extremely sceptical, it arrived within days. I was very impressed. It’s a lovely dress btw! I love Toast denim.
