What would you say the mum boot of trainers looks like?

My teen is all about Dunks too.

I am passing on the offence to the elderly but that is not a mum boot. That's the boot of somebody who needs a frame to walk.

I have to object to Stan Smiths being seen as 'mum trainers' - they're too cool and insouciant. In a recent trip to Paris I saw lads of them being worn on the street and let's not forget how fucking cool Phoebe Philo looks here.

Vejas are cool. People like to sneer on them here because they're seen as influencer trainers but they are still seen as cool. Ditto Air and Grace.

Mum trainers to me are any you would buy in Mountain Warehouse, or Sketchers. Or another type are those 'fake' cool trainers by Boden, Carvela etc, ideally with rainbow or diamanté stripes on them.

@Legoninjago1 😂 I have an inward battle with navy and black too! My mum always advised that they should never be seen together however I think it is very much 'done' on the continent. I can just about let Phoebe Philo off here as she's using bold white to break it up!

I love navy with black and think it looks really stylish -depending on the actual clothes being worn, of course.
