General “Waifs and Strays” Beauty Advent Calendar opening thread

As last year, I suggest we use this as a general beauty advent calendar thread for everyone with beauty calendars that may not be covered by other threads or who prefers a general thread. I’m opening FM, Harrods and M&S this year, and will aim to post on both this and the M&S threads.

Please can no-one post any spoilers before 7am on the relevant day.

Just over a week to go. I’m really looking forward to it!

I have Paul & Joe, Rituals 3D, Sephora and Nespresso. Got Lakrids liquorice for DH and I to share.

It was from Masters of Malt. Their Japanese one. Thought it would be a bit different.

I am also intrigued by whisky advent but whisky every night of the week puts me off!

Well he doesn’t really HAVE to have one every night! I don’t use what I open from my advent calendar on the day usually.

I made DH a beer one last year and I think he had one or two mid week but mainly let his stash build up to enjoy at the weekend/over Christmas.

I've got Rituals (Village one) and a Muesli one (which is not S&B - but the thread seems to accept all comers!).
I'm heading home to Ireland for Christmas on the 17th, and don't intend bringing advent calendars with me. So debating starting today with Days 18-25 ... maybe 1 a day and two on the weekends to take me up to Dec 1st. Or doing a couple extra in the weekends during actual December ...

Another option for you would be to take up where you left off in January. There's always a jadvent thread.

You do know you won't see much action faoin drualus this year? A bit more than last perhaps, but we're still supposed to be socially distancing...

Yeah, I'll be happy to just spend a couple of weeks at home with my mum, eat taytos and roses and have Baileys coffees in front of the fire!
I'm just hoping I manage to get there, cases going up here (Switzerland), lot of people not vaccinated. Work have put everyone back on work from home since Monday and my team christmas lunch was cancelled this week. The Christmas markets opened today, though fewer stalls than usual and will need a covid cert to access them.

Hopefully you will get here. Roses are crap now though. The rest sounds great.

My manager had one-on-ones with us all last week. He said he was checking about attitudes towards the christmas lunch and he assumed I wasn't comfortable with the idea as he certainly isn't. Guess we're not having a christmas lunch then...

Yay a general AC thread. Love these.

I have a JL AC plus I also have a Boots No7 AC which I bought first thinking I'd be a bit thriftier but then threw caution to the wind and bought the JL one anyway so I could get the free winter box GWP.

We also have a family Degustabox AC

Oh yes I also have a homemade one using last years JL AC filled with unused items from last year. Which will be a surprise as I've completely forgotten what's in there. So much for being thrifty. That didn't turn out so well yet again

Jumping in here, first year I've exercised some restraint, haven't opened a single box yet. I've got M&S here, I got Barry M for D2. I sent D1 (at university) H&B which she's been dipping into for treats and Degustabox to share with her household. She breaks up on Friday so there was no point her waiting.

I've got a Lumene one I need to get back from my husband (hidden away so I didn't open early!)
Quite excited! Work is rubbish at the moment so a little treat to start my day will be good

I've got Glossybox and Lookfantastic! :)
