Holland & Barrett 2021 advent calendar thread

This year's thread for chat (and potentially) swaps for the 2021 Holland & Barrett beauty calendar.

No spoilers please! As per last year, can we please use 7am as a cut of point? So, if you are an early bird and open your door before 7am, please don't post until then. At some point during the day, I'll pop a link to that day's product in the thread.

Can't wait to open this one! Last year's was great...reusable earbud notwithstanding...

I can’t remember what was behind door 24 but door 25 is my favourite by far. I’ve repurchased and will continue to.

I have somehow managed to lose yesterday's lip balm already.

I'm pleased with todays cleanser, about to run out so this will give me an opportunity to try something different. It's funny but I'm enjoying the fact there's more practical items in the calendar. It means they'll definitely get used.

Used today's face wash this morning and skin felt nice afterwards. Hard to just use a small amount as per instructions tho, it kind of splooshed out.

I'm glad that we got a good size, practical face wash (smells nice to me, and should be gentle for my redness prone face!) instead of make-up removal wipes at least.

For the second time this month I've opened tomorrows early. I'm glad I did. Happy with it and look forward to hearing others thoughts tomorrow.

I take it back the scent really did not last long at all. Re sprayed a couple of times and whilst initially smell is calming, it just fades too quickly.

Bah , already have one of today’s as part of a set I bought in TK Maxx. Don’t rate it to be honest as PP said, scent fades almost immediately

I actually opened today’s and tomorrow’s, pleased with both. The smell does not last but a good brand and will keep it by my bed.

Day 24: Tisserand Sleep Better Pillow Mist 9ml
I prefer the scent of this to the This Works one as it's more lavendery but I agree it fades very quickly.
I usually use the This Works one as a room spray rather than putting it on my pillow so will try the same with this and see if it lasts longer

Love a good pillow spray but alas as pointed out, this is not a very good one. Will keep as my travel pillow spray!

I like pillow sprays but always forget to use them. I like todays and it will be used.

I'm sitting with today's offering on my face before I shower. Fingers crossed I don't get am allergic reaction, but so far it feels lovely.

Oooh, fancy! Fabulous way to finish the calendar! I am going to use mine tomorrow when I have a bit of a Boxing Day pamper session

Yes it’s a good one to finish on. On the whole I really liked this calendar and I think it was good value. I’d definitely buy again

Used todays this morning - the colour felt appropriately festive! A lovely treat to finish on.

I like this one but generally the calendar was a disappointment for me. Next year I will study the contents carefully before buying.

I have M&S for jadvent and I started today LF stylist 12 days of Xmas calendar.

Love the final item although not used yet.

Has anyone found the lip stuff has dried their lips out?

Yes @Fmesanta I've found the lip balm a bit drying, or I'm allergic to it. Not sure which but it's a shame as it seemed like such a nice product, just not for me as it turns out.

@guineapigs I definitely preferred last year's calendar and will also look at the contents carefully next year before buying. Overall there were too many more 'practical' items for me and not enough interesting new brands to try. It just didn't feel like such a well curated selection as last year.

That all sounds very negative! There were a few items I really liked. Maybe I'm just ready for a change next year...

The last item is very nice and I really enjoyed the calendar overall. But like others, I'll take a look at the contents before deciding whether to get it again next year. It's been nice to chat about it here with you and I hope you're all having a well deserved, relaxing Boxing day.
