This year's thread for chat (and potentially) swaps for the 2021 Holland & Barrett beauty calendar.

No spoilers please! As per last year, can we please use 7am as a cut of point? So, if you are an early bird and open your door before 7am, please don't post until then. At some point during the day, I'll pop a link to that day's product in the thread.

Can't wait to open this one! Last year's was great...reusable earbud notwithstanding...

Yes I got it direct from Nuxe as well, as above sale is fab. I love their fragrance, to me it is the smell of summer!!!

Going early, already rolled my face!! I really like today’s and the smell is great! Am going to use it this morning.

I'm enjoying the calendar overall, even though I've not loved every product. My face was very clean last night (a rare double cleanse plus the Q+A AHA gel, after being in a mask all day at work) and the oil + roller felt really nice. No spots today either - maybe because I had taken everything off so well beforehand?

My DH was very sweet and got me Freedm Street advent calendar for Jadvent and it was more variety (incl some vegan sweets, which I know wouldn't appeal to all, in an advent calendar). There isn't as much choice for me with cruelty free and (my preference) vegan options, but I could save up for a fancy one next year if I don't fancy H&B again. But the sizes are pretty good though considering the cost, even if they're not quite as luxurious as some other options. Smile

I can smell this whoopee, and it's lovely. I would say there's always a few products that disappoint or that you personally won't use in any calendar whether it be £150 or £50. Overall I'm enjoying the products I've tried so far and will definitely be repurchasing some and exploring more brands for skincare from H&B.

Today's product smells really nice. So far I'm really enjoying the calendar. Even the tweezers seem pretty good quality, and the hair brush has been handy for in my work bag. I guess this won't ever compete with some of the other calendars you can buy in terms of luxuriousness but that's not really H&B's thing. I like the fact that I'm trying out ethical products I probably haven't heard of before and that if I like them then buying those products in future won't break the bank. Plus I have a H&B branch 10 mins walk from my house so can nip in whenever I want something which helps.
Second year of this calendar, and I imagine I'll be buying again.

Day 18: I Love Naturals Tonka Bean and Myrrh Body Wash 125ml
Love the smell of this! It reminds me of the Dove for Men that DS uses, but a bit more feminine.

Lovely smell and good size for travel bag. Was thinking that with two body washes so far. A nice small exfoliating sponge / pad would be good.

Day 19: A Holland & Barrett branded glass nail file.
I saw a nail file listed in the contents and thought it would be a drawer of disappointment but I'm pleased that it's a glass one as they give great results and last forever. And I needed a new file for my handbag so it's a winner!

Yes happy with this. Haven't had a glass file before and didn't realise they last so long.

I thought the drawer was empty when I first picked it up.

Officially on holiday from today (ds finished school on Friday). Not too sure about the 'hormone' thing in today's offering, but I like the smell and it was refreshing after my shower this morning. Smile
