Holland & Barrett 2021 advent calendar thread

This year's thread for chat (and potentially) swaps for the 2021 Holland & Barrett beauty calendar.

No spoilers please! As per last year, can we please use 7am as a cut of point? So, if you are an early bird and open your door before 7am, please don't post until then. At some point during the day, I'll pop a link to that day's product in the thread.

Can't wait to open this one! Last year's was great...reusable earbud notwithstanding...

Day 20: Disciple Balancing Mist 50ml

This is gorgeous! It comes out as a fine spray and smells beautiful. I've used it as a toner this morning and I can see myself using it as a midafternoon pick me up. I agree it would also be lovely on a hot day. And a glass bottle! This is an all round winner which I could definitely see myself repurchasing

This is one of my favourite products from the calendar. I’ve been using it for a month now and love it. It’s a joy to use.

I'm using another spray from this brand at the moment that I got in a beauty box. I use it as a toner. It's very nice - though I am always a bit unsure on the purpose of toner 🤔

First year for me and yes I would. Overall
Good value and definitely products in there I'd never have otherwise come across.

£1.80 per product based on a £45 retail value. About a coffee per day suits me.

I've been happy enough over all, as someone said earlier, it's unlikely that anyone would like everything in any calendar. It's my second year of having a beauty calendar, I'll probably give it a miss next year but I'd happily by this as a gift for a friend.

Hmmm more misses than bits for me so far.
I really liked the eye cream and the apple gel, the hair brush, shower gel and body wash.
Not a fan of the face pack and scrub.

I am going to look more carefully what next year's calendar contains. This year has been a disappointment in comparison to last year's.

I have M&S for jadvent and LF stylist 12 days calendar for after Xmas.

I don’t think I’d buy again - I’ll probably go back to M&S or feel unique next year. I’ve enjoyed it though.

Day 21: So Eco Multi Tasking Brush

It looks like a lovely brush but I already have a blusher brush and a powder brush. I do however need a brush for applying face masks so I'll probably use this for that.
Not the most exciting day but useful!

I used the apple AHA again last night and my skin is like silk! Definitely a favourite!

Well I keep rolling my face and spraying it!! The brush is very soft and will be a good replacement but I am not sure I will buy again next year. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

I'm really not sure about next year. On the one hand, it's one of the cheaper calendars and it has been amazing value for money. And the eco friendly credentials are a massive plus.
On the other hand, lots of the contents have been very practical in nature and made me realise that I really value luxury, treat products in a calendar.
I'll have to look very carefully at the contents I think to see if it's worth it for me.

Not very excited with todays offering!

I'm going to have a rest from H&B next year and try a different, more lux calendar. I absolutely loved last year's but haven't been as impressed this year, a lot more misses than hits whereas last year I remember being happy with most of the days.

I do like todays. I use a lot of those style of brushes so it'll come in handy

Another miss for me today. Most of my make up is cream based so don’t use brushes.
