I want lace-up boots as comfy and light as trainers BUT THEY DON’T EXIST

I would like boots which:

Are lace up
Have soft soles or are a bit squishy underfoot
Are light
Go above the ankle ideally, but not completely essential.
Are black or tan or khaki
Are leather or suede

The search for such a pair is now really getting me down. I don’t think they exist…

If you want lightweight, I would recommend Skechers, awesome comfort and so light.

Look for Josef Siebel. I have some that have laces but also a zip in the side to get them on/off more easily. Not cheap but they are like wearing slippers

I spent a day traipsing round the shops looking for black lace up boots yesterday. I wanted some DMs but had been put off because they are stiff and heavy. Ended up buying a non-leather pair from Deichmanns - for less than £20! They have leather ones as well, I had never looked in there before and was pleasantly surprised

I have the gabor suede lace up ankle boots, ( they aren't suede) i would recommend them, so comfortable, gabor have other styles available that look great

I have these. Bought last winter and have worn them to death, but still look good as new. Amazingly comfortable.

I actually bought some from tescos the other day for work, I am allowed trainers but love socks so needed a boot.
They are plain black canvas top with white sole, look a bit like converse without the branding and thicker sole, in the sale too!

I should have added that I also looked at this Geox pair (if you want more of a trainer type sole).
