I want trousers that just fit me. Happy to buy cropped or ankle grazers as full length.

Size ten, quite a big bum and hips so can't buy children's.

I am a little taller at 5ft 2 but have really short legs!!
I have mainly have jeans from Sainsbury’s (they do petite or short fitting in some styles) and marks and spencer who also do short fitting. I have also found the Next petite range to be really good.

Thanks but I think it’s that 2 inches you have - wooo errrr missus. All shop bought trousers even petit one are just a bit too long.

My inside leg is 26 inches. Nothing seems to be that short.

M&S - their trousers are really good quality and they do a 'short' range and some of them come in extra short. I honestly really rate them!

I’m 5 foot 1 and I buy M&S. they do short and extra short in some styles. You may find that extra short is too short for you!

Find a tailor. I get all my trousers shortened. It’s the only way.

M&S. either cropped or short length.

5ft sz12/14 - Next Petite, Newlook Petite, Dorothy Perkins petite, Asos petite, M&S extra short, Sainsbury's petite, Boden petite, Sweatybetty 7/8. I also sometimes buy cropped standard length. I've never taken trousers up as I'm hopeless at sewing. Pretty much always order online as finding petite and short lengths IRL is pretty much impossible.

I’m also a size 10 with generous bum and hips.

So - I get short length jeans and trousers in Tesco F&F
Petite jeans from Boden (just bought some barrel leg that are high waisted from there in a 12 so that they would be slightly roomier and they’re perfect.)
I like Dorothy Perkins Petite sometimes.
Otherwise I buy cropped lengths that come up full length on me. I’ve done this with e.g. Hush and Joules and it’s worked quite well.

I’ve also used the Uniqlo shortening service before for their trousers, and been v impressed. It’s v cheap - I don’t know if they’re still doing it but worth checking.

I need some more and can't find any atm.

Also - the current trend for turn ups on jeans etc is making me happy!

Go for 7/8ths lengths or cropped trousers and they’ll be the right length on you. If you like raw hem jeans, I just cut an extra couple of inches off the hems!

I'm 5ft. Gap petite and Next petite fit me perfectly.

I'm 4' 11" I usually get M&S short But sometimes the short is too short. Or Lands End who have measured inseam on a lot of trousers/jeans. I usually end up with 28 inch inseam from Lands End they fit fine 30's I end up cutting a bit off.

I’ve used Uniqlo in the past but there isn’t one where I live so it is a faff but agree it’s amazing. All my current trousers are from there. I have 6 pairs of the same work trousers. So sad.

Agree with finding a tailor but again it’s the faff.

Will also try Next and Boden petit.

Bonus question - Also being so short I tend to just buy skinny jeans, so passé I know. But does anyone truly short wear another style?

Only 3/4 or cropped styles don't need taking up generally. Levis 501 cropped fit my bum (we must be body twins) and graze my ankle.

I buy cropped / Capri trousers. They fit like normal ones on me

I do also have m&s boyfriend jeans in petite which fit and I was surprised made my bum look smaller.

Skinny is definitely my preferred jean, sometimes with a turn-up. I did get some mom jeans from M&S with frayed bottoms which are a good length but not the most flattering shape on me...also big bum and hips. My inside leg is also abut 26".
When I used to wear boot cut all those years ago I needed a heeled shoe otherwise they always dragged on the floor 😂

Yes - I’m 5’2 and wear flared wide legs, barrel jeans and 90s baggy jeans. I had to hem the barrel jeans though and cut about 4 inches off the 90s ones as they were from Zara. I find cropped jumpers are a good length on me (ie not really cropped) and the trick with anything supposed to be oversized on top is to size down or it drowns you. I have some jumpers that are a size 6 when I’m a 10 and they look the right amount of oversized.
