Size ten, quite a big bum and hips so can't buy children's.

OK I admire your spirit ….. where did you purchase these fashionable items and did you have to hem them?

I haven’t had to hem a single pair in a few years now - incredible!

F&F short length, Boden petite, cropped length in Gap, Joules and Hush.
Sometimes like Dorothy Perkins. I also have cropped / 7/8 lengths from H&M and Zara.

(I’m not a fan of M&S generally. Or Next.)

It is definitely possible to find lots of styles to fit us shorties. Just have to accept that what is short on normal height people is going to be full length on us!

Im 5'1"with short legs size 12 and wear a lot of Massimo duti cropped jeans and trousers - just bought some fabulous black smart trousers which are a perfect length. I also have M&S short length and Boden petit.

I am 5 foot. Never got on with skinny jeans- not skinny. Straight, or 'girlfriend' for me.
I mostly go for ankle length and roll 'em up these days, but for formal stuff, m&s, next or sainsbury short, all seem ok. Short fitting is definitely getting longer though.

Thanks but I think it’s that 2 inches you have - wooo errrr missus. All shop bought trousers even petit one are just a bit too long.

My inside leg is 26 inches. Nothing seems to be that short.

My inside leg is 25 and I am 5'1. I buy petite trousers from Boden. I buy jeans from hush ( roll legs often or cut the hem or get taken up ( not often)). I get 26 inch leg Levi's. I wear cropped trousers.

I find Joules good for sleeve length!

5ft here too! I’ve had some success with Stradivarius skinnies...no turn up required! Biden petite is a definite. And I’ve just splashed out and bought cropped jeans from Reiss which are perfect length and also woollen cropped trousers from jigsaw, again, perfect length.

I’m not a fan of m and s and next are odd fitting.

I have found my people! I generally roll up my jeans. I’m also on the hunt for some trendier jeans. Luckily I still have some flared/bootcut pairs left over from the 00’s but I really want some boyfriend jeans that don’t drown me - I’m tiny (6/8 bottom and 4/6 top) but pear shaped so have to be careful…
I’m well up for a short people thread!

As trousers are so hard to find a good fit in, I tend to favour making sure they look good and feel comfortable elsewhere and then just take them to the dry cleaners. But there are about four very near me, of course it does add to the cost. It's rare I buy trousers that don't need shortening. I do it even with skinnies where I could just tuck them under as think having things customised for you gives that final polish to an outfit.

Doesn't work with very flared trousers unless happy to lose a lot of the flare.

There have been several long running petite threads. @TheCategoryIs I use my local dressmaker if I need alterations. She charged me £12.50 to shorten 1 linen trouser, 1linen dress and 1 jersey maxi. The dry cleaners would be about £17 per item.

Lands End do free hemming to your inseam. Classic styles though.

ASOS petite are quite good, they also stock topshop which is where I usually get jeans from (I'm 5'1)

Yep another vote for M&S straight legs here as a fellow five footer. I also find River Island Petite range fit well.

M&S, but sometimes if I really like a longer pair I just make the alterations.

I have a 24 inch inside leg measurement.

I have to take up every length of trouser leg, except crops.

Yes that's the ones I always get. Most of their styles come in short leg lengths

I’m really pleased to learn this - didn’t know they did short lengths

I'm exactly the same height , marks do super short leg and next petite
I often just turn the hem under though , no sewing required
