@dudsville You and I have a lot in common. I track my clothes/shoes/bag purchase throughout the year and have done so for several years in an attempt to a) buy less but better, and b) be able to clearly look at what I’ve bought vs what I’ve worn. It’s been very helpful and has really changed the way I shop. I used to be obsessed with sales but then when I looked back at what I’d bought in them, they rarely got worn - particularly things I bought in January/February each year.
This year, I’ve bought 8 dresses, 1 skirt and 1 shirt from Toast, spending £1159. The shirt and 1 of the dresses didn’t really work and I’m hoping to exchange via Toast Circle, the rest have been great and I’m really pleased. Most were not, sadly, bought in the sale which isn’t great from one point of view, but from another, means they are much more considered purchases which for me, as an ‘enthusiastic’ shopper, is a very positive outcome 😊.
The detailed analysis of inside my brain that no-one asked for 🙄.
