So my Alix indigo trousers arrived @Snowyowl78 I love the feeling of them, definitely bigger fitting than my summer ones from memory , just had a very quick try on. The smaller size is sold out and these are not ginormous , just slightly worried about stretching or me losing my final 3 lbs ( like that’ll happen over Christmas). They are so comfortable I’ll probably keep them if I can sort footwear out. They are definitely not the ones I was looking at in the Marylebone store which were wool and I can’t see on the site., I just couldn’t commit on the day I was there.. I also got the paper baubles.
I don’t think anything on my list will be in sale. Probably as well.

I have made a speculative purchase of the Lys shirt on JL , in the hope that it will be in the sale and I can price match ..... If it isn't ill send it back! Tried it earlier in the season and likes it but its definitely not worth £125 IMO....

The only other thing that I wanted is oos now ( cashmere striped wrap).. but it was on my Christmas list so 🤞

We will need a new thread soon especially with a sale coming up...

I’ve never thought to get my basket ready but I read about someone doing that a couple of days ago and I put a dress and a robe in - they’re still there, I’ll check back every day and just re-add them if they get chucked out. Only a dress and a robe in there, but I ordered a robe from the Arket sale the other day so may not go for the Toast one.

@Countmeout ah I am glad you’re happy with the Alix’s. They are defo v comfy aren’t they, a bit like thick felt. and I was interested to see the elastic at the back only worked well. I still might try for the 10’s in the sale although I am pretty sure they won’t be in the sale!

Yes @Snowyowl78 very comfie. I’ll not wear them until after the sale starts but I , too, doubt they’ll be in the sale.
I had put stuff in a basket but then tried to put on wish list instead and a green sweater has disappeared 🙄

I went into the Islington store the other day. The clothes are really lovely in real life. I bought this shirt and already worn it 3 times. Don’t fully button it up though!

@viewsoftheshard- yes, you can see the quality more clearly in real life (which makes the prices a bit more understandable - usually).

That is a lovely shirt, @viewsoftheshard. I do love Toast shirts, but, oh, the ironing! My outfit today was a white Elena cotton-linen shirt, a pair of black-ish Gabi cords, a patterned yoke sweater in ochre and burgundy and a pair of black Fracap hiker boots. Apart from the boots, everything else was 70% off in the JL sales.

I’ve had a premium bonds windfall this month so, after a spectacularly horrible 2021 for my family, I’ve bought lumps of coal for the children for their stockings - and treated myself to a pair of Fracap Explorer boots. (Is it really pathetic of me to hope that I really, really get the freebie gift of the baubles along with my order?)

Disclaimer: I honestly haven’t scarred my children with lumps of coal (although the horrible little blighters could do with a Santa wake-up call. 😅)

I have a Toast order slowly winding its way to me I will let you know if I get any paper baubles.

I have splashed out and ordered the floral print silk cotton PJ shirt. I hope it will brighten up black trousers and jeans. I have also ordered my husband the houndstooth check cotton shirt as part of his Christmas present and a couple of pairs of socks for me. I am waiting for the sale now although there isn't anything I desparately want.

I had a terrible accident with one of DS2's presents (I trod on it in the dark) so had to order a last minute something from toast. Just had the shipping notification and it says there's a 'kindred gift' included so maybe I got lucky! Can't tell what it is - just a picture of a squiggle!

Mine was a picture of a squiggle on the dispatch note @faustinabut proved to be the paper baubles
