The Plumo gilet is £89. The Cos ones are even more reasonable

I've bought lots of stuff from Plumo over the years, the buyers have a wonderful eye. Crazily high mark ups though.

SmaugMum · 11/12/2021 10:53

@AFingerofFudge @billydilly, oh no, I think I’m going to disappear down a Plümo rabbit hole; some absolutely gorgeous stuff!

I’ve been eyeing up Birkenstock shearling slippers as my Christmas present to me (single parent and young kids) and I discovered this bargainous pair, in case anyone is similarly interested.

I fell for a gorgeous velvet coat on Plumo, saw that it was a Nancy Mac so looked at the latter's site; much cheaper!

Laska2Meryls · 11/12/2021 18:15

Plumo have utterly ridiculous mark ups on their stuff which is often other suppliers labels anyway.( and used to charge return costs although I dont know if they still do) I once queried why they had such a high mark up when I ordered a dress and found it online direct from label at 40% cheaper.. They were really snotty about it and frankly quite rude and condescending.... claimed that their prices were justified because they 'curated' a collection..also refused to send me a return label at first, but finally did after I threatened trading standards ..
I will never buy from them again... Sadly though I cant get off their mailing list.. id send all their mailings back but it would cost me so it just goes straight in the bin ...but at least I am costing them postage !

NoCureForLove · 11/12/2021 22:38

Well I've just bought a Ganni party dress from Plumo. Still full price on Ganni website...

Does anyone have the front indigo denim culottes? They’re eye wateringly expensive so need to be perfect. I’m just wondering if anyone has any idea of fit? I’m hoping they’ll work with my ample bum and thighs and not be too short. I’m 5’6” and really don’t like the usual (in my view) too short Toast trousers but reviews say these are longer.

AmethystMoonShine · 12/12/2021 09:56

Flat front I mean Blush

AmethystMoonShine · 12/12/2021 11:06

I’ve just found a Tank top which is out of stock on Plumo on the Paschmama site. Also got a 10% discount for first time order. Very pleased, I must now stop shopping! Shock

NoCureForLove · 12/12/2021 11:53

Smaug. My life is really not glamorous. At all. I will wear that dress over a black jumper/ white long sleeved shirt - if it is a keeper...

Countmeout · 12/12/2021 15:53

I think that dress is fabulous @NoCureForLove.

Nanasueathome · 13/12/2021 14:23

Oooohhhhhh
I know I’m ‘in’ now
My post just arrived and I’ve got a Christmas card from Toast

Laska2Meryls · 13/12/2021 16:27

And me, Nanasue...!

SmaugMum · 13/12/2021 18:27

Well jell @Nanasueathome @Laska2Meryls

I imagine I’m off the Christmas card list this year as I’ve only shopped the sale and the single full-price item I purchased was the Angela Harding advent calendar. I wonder if JL will treat us to a card and small gift again this year?!

Saurus72 · 13/12/2021 18:56

I got the card too, I was holding my breath as I was opening it (it’s been a boring day…) hoping there might be a little discount code inside but alas no. Oh well 😊

SmaugMum · 13/12/2021 19:09

Imagine if it were a card informing you that you’d won one of the weekly Christmas competitions?!
Stoic123 · 13/12/2021 19:12

No card here and I bought loads this year - full price and sales Sad

Saurus72 · 13/12/2021 20:04

@SmaugMum ah can you imagine?! I write every review I’m invited to, plus enter all the competitions but not a sausage apart from the free little bag with kindred a while ago.

Had anyone ever bought Toast bed linen, specifically their bedspreads? Worth the £££? I had been eyeing up the Leela quilted bedspread (which is no longer online but there is stock in my local store), but it is not big enough to cover a whole bed, which I am looking for. I’m now looking at the kantha patched bedspread. Anyone bought one and have thoughts on quality, washability, etc?

neveradullmoment99 · 16/12/2021 01:25

Hello! Just bumping the thread!

Countmeout · 16/12/2021 06:35

No I haven’t @ScottishMouse but I would love one of the velvet bedspreads. Prices similar to Laura Ashley back in the day . No idea what the Leela looks like.

ScottishMouse · 16/12/2021 06:52

This is the Leel @Countmeout. Love it, apart from the size.
Where else could I buy a lovely bedspread folks?

ScottishMouse · 16/12/2021 06:52

Leela, even.
