That’s very nice @ScottishMouse. no idea where else you could get similar though. A lot of bedspreads are not big enough I’ve noticed. I think they make them just to fold over the end of a bed these days annoyingly.

I keep looking at their bedding. We are no where near doing our bedroom yet (moved into an old cottage that needs a LOT of work earlier this year)… but I am ‘researching’ bedding ready for when I get a new bed. I assume it’ll wear well but do wonder about washing as often the lovely quilts are dry clean. My husband’s not unknown to spill coffee on our bedding

I just noticed that last night @AmethystMoonShine. I have a cat, two kids, and a husband (!), so maybe I need to find something I can stick in the machine.
@Countmeout, it is annoying, isn’t it? We do the scandi two duvet thing, and it just looks kind of messy, so I want something that will cover the whole lot up. The patched Kantha one would, but it has no wadding so it really just a couple of layers of cotton. Which might be ok though, as would work in summer too, and I am not a cold sleeper so don’t need a bedspread for the warmth. I just wonder if it might look a bit like I just threw a sheet over the top. Maybe that’s an idea actually…would be much cheaper!

Does anyone have the front indigo denim culottes? They’re eye wateringly expensive so need to be perfect. I’m just wondering if anyone has any idea of fit? I’m hoping they’ll work with my ample bum and thighs and not be too short. I’m 5’6” and really don’t like the usual (in my view) too short Toast trousers but reviews say these are longer.

I do They really are lovely but given we are heading towards the sale hopefully I would hang on. Im tall and they are culotte length on me -3/4 which is what I thought they were meant to be rather than full length ? Im a RL 12 and the Toast 10 fitted me perfectly , I have bum, hips but defined waist.

No card for me either but Im not a fan of cards and would prefer a discount voucher

@ScottishMouse - Graham and Green do some nice big quilts (I don't have one but have admired from a distance) - not sure you can machine wash anything like that really. I have a big, heavy linen one which isn't padded. Have you thought of something like that?

I didn’t get a Xmas card but I did get a Kindred gift with an order that arrived yesterday! I splashed out on some Alix indigo trousers but they are massive so I will be sending them back. Annoying as I paid next day delivery.

Oh dear re the Alex @Snowyowl78 I ordered the very same at the weekend (due Friday or Saturday). I did size down though given my previous experience with Alix. Will report when they arrive

@Countmeout ooh snap! I heard they were big so I sized down to a 12 but they’re still huge. To be wearing size 10 right now is quite silly, but I guess I should’ve hedged my bets :) Still, got some free baubles.

Thanks @StEval....I didn't wait for the sale, I was scared they'd sell out in the 12. The denim flat front culottes arrived today and they are really flattering and comfy and the perfect length on me, just on my ankle bone. So they are a very expensive keeper. I like that the waist is adjustable, so I can wear them high on my waist or lower.
Also the alpaca yoke sweater in ginger...that's moving in with me too, so very soft and the colours suit me well.
I also got the Kindred gift of little paper baubles, very sweet. No card though.

It’ll be interesting to see what is in the sale. Did they not say they were trying to have less things going into sale?

hello all - final coat update: they refunded me in full including delivery - and - drum roll - I think I have found my perfect coat finally! Slightly ironic really since now the opportunities to wear it anywhere are pretty much zero, but still ... can't take a pic because the light is awful but it fits like a dream and is really warm and hangs beautifully. I was worried about all the polyester (it's deadstock though) but it feels really soft! Here it is:
