Just checking in. Haven’t had one for a few years now but treated myself this year. Just opened first box. Very happy.

Morning ! I’m very happy with the 1st box too. Great start m&s.

Like day 1! A product I really like but never buy as it’s pricey. A decent size as well - excellent start.

Yes I’m looking forward to trying it out later

I like this. I’m going to try it this morning to cheer me up on this dark, damp morning before I go to work.

This is very exciting. Glad I bought one this year.

Have never used this before, so looking forward to giving it a go. Lovely size too 😊

Morning all! My youngest two dd's were up at 5.45 this morning to check if the bloody elf had arrived. Thankfully I had the excitement of my calendar to ease the pain Smile
Pleased with this morning's treat. I've used this before and it's fab.

Morning, happy with todays offering, will definitely use it. Been buying the M&S calendar for a few years but didn't last year and wasn't going to bother this year but glad I did. Something to look forward to on these dark, cold mornings.

DD and I needed a boost yesterday night, so we both dived into the whole thing 😆 Very naughty, but that’s what I got it for.
Shared out the goodies between us so I can use the tin for something else and are very impressed.

I like the Emma Hardie balm, happy with today's!

Good start. We got a tiny pot of this in the M and S calendar a couple of years ago but this is much bigger. Feels very light though ??

This is exciting! Feels lovely to have a few moments just for me in opening it before the day starts!

Not heard of this brand before and my current one I use (neals yard) is about to run out so looking forward to trying it this evening!

I'm a convert to cleansing balm after using the Elemis one, so I'm looking forward to trying this.

Happy with this. I usually use the body shop chamomile one so this will be a nice luxury swap for me :)

How good is this for removing make up and, more specifically, mascara?

Report
HeySeamus · 01/12/2021 08:21

@RampantIvy it's very good at removing makeup, feels luxurious and smells divine BUT the Clinique balm is better IMO so whilst I'll happily use the EH balm, I alway end up repurchasing Clinique (which doesn't smell of anything but is the best at removing tubing mascara).

I'm also happy with today's treat! For those who have used this before - would you just use this to cleanse including taking of make up? Or more as a second cleanse (for any double cleansers - I keep meaning to get back to double cleansing). And if second cleanse, what do you use first?

NumaNumaYay · 01/12/2021 08:25

Oh this is a nice one!

I use this as a first cleanse to get rid of makeup etc then go and do a second cleanse with a facewash (currently using an Aldi jelly cleanser)

Happy with today's. I use the M&S Pure one which I really like but this one will be good for weekends away.

Ooooooh I bought the Aldi dupe a while back so am delighted that I now have the real thing to compare it to!

The size was a nice surprise, it was always 15ml before. I repurchased it after initially getting it in the calendar a few years ago. I use it as a cleansing treat not every night. I believe you can leave it on overnight as a mask (happy to be corrected but I think I read that somewhere)

Most eye make up removers cause a rash on me. The eve lom and Elemis ones I got last year were brilliant - not do much as a tingle. Although I've tried the lumene one and reacted to that. Hopefully this one will be fine. I'm looking forward to trying it
