Is available on Thursday in store and online apparently.

I use a balm as a first cleanser and then a facial wash after. Not sure if it's the correct way but works for me.

AnSionnachGlic · 01/12/2021 08:58

Love todays offering.....its so exciting!!! I would use it to massage into skin and then wipe off with a cleansing cloth. Not sure if this is correct way??
The Countdown begins🎄🤶🎅🎉😄

sluj · 01/12/2021 09:01

I'm not sure I'd want to use this on my eyes!!

OchonAgusOchonOh · 01/12/2021 09:13

I haven't tried this particular one on my eyes, but generally the balms are great on your eyes. Really gentle, effective cleansing.
GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 01/12/2021 09:15

Morning, can I join? Never had one of these before, but decided I needed some cheering up.

Very pleased with the cleansing balm, and its generous size! Also loving getting a little treat every day (and have promised myself I'll try them all on the day, rather than putting them away "for a special occasion", which is what I usually do when gifted anything I think is a bit fancy!)

HeySeamus · 01/12/2021 09:16

@sluj it's fine for eyes. It's formulated to remove make up

LivingDeadGirlUK · 01/12/2021 09:27

I've never tried a balm before but wow this was lovely this morning. I had a few drinks last night and it refreshed me as well as getting rid of the last traces of mascara.

Bavarois · 01/12/2021 09:31

Pleased with the EH cleansing balm this morning. I have John Lewis and F&M too and the M&S day 1 was the best of the lot for me. I usually use Clinique Take the Day Off Balm but this will be a nice change, and the EH products usually smell amazing.

Yes I'm the same @GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal I'm going to try to use them each day rather than saving them "for best" which never comes!
FreshFaceTime · 01/12/2021 09:47

I'm definitely aiming to try them each day - and keep using them until they run out too! I sneaked a look at box 1 when the calendar arrived and I'm sooooo pleased I stopped there. Excited!

Just checked on her website to get instructions -

DIRECTIONS
Take a hazelnut size piece of Emma Hardie Moringa Balm and massage thoroughly into dry skin in order to break down all traces of face and eye make-up and to lift away daily pollutants. To remove, soak the Dual-Action Cleansing Cloth in warm water, squeeze out the excess and use to gently remove the product using the Emma Hardie 'lines not circles' technique. Use the microfibre side first for removal, then repeat using the exfoliating muslin side for skin polishing.

Helpstopthepain · 01/12/2021 10:24

I love Emma Hardie protect and prime and really wanted to try this so I’m really happy! I nearly purchased it a while ago but thought I would wait so I’m glad that I did!

I’m definitely not saving for best, life is too short!

Did you get a cloth in yours? I just used a flannel :/
SomethingAboutNothing · 01/12/2021 10:31

I'm not sure if this one will agree with my skin as I have quite an oily complexion but I'll give it a try, it smells nice and is a good size.

Helpstopthepain · 01/12/2021 10:34

@LivingDeadGirlUK no cloth so I’m using a flannel too. You can buy the cleansing cloth but to be honest I don’t see the point .

RampantIvy · 01/12/2021 10:38

I just use a flannel or one of these cleansing cookies

JustWhatIAlwaysWanted · 01/12/2021 10:44

Happy with this as I had the Emma Hardie pink clay face mask last year and it was lovely and smelled wonderful. Good first day!

VivaVegas · 01/12/2021 11:13

So pleased with this, have just nearly finished a much smaller pot!

It's lovely 😊

What is the 'lines not circle' technique? It sounds like my 'random scrubbing' technique may not be the correct one.
Chrysanthemum5 · 01/12/2021 11:47

I'm interested to try this one - hopefully it will make me (even more) gorgeous Grin

Hopefully this works but here is the lines not circles ‘technique’.

IloveJudgeJudy · 01/12/2021 11:55

May I join in? I've just opened 1. I'm very happy with it. I won't be using it until I've finished my current cleanser in a couple of days.

10littlepirates · 01/12/2021 12:11

It's my first M&S beauty advent calendar this year and I'm pleased with box 1. I have found my skin is much better using something on it in the morning, I have been using an M&S glow face mask from their summer beauty bag but keen to try this out tomorrow.

Thank you. I suspect I'll continue with the 'random scrubbing' technique...

Great start to the Beauty Box!

The video surprised me though, I thought you were always supposed to sweep upwards?!
