Is available on Thursday in store and online apparently.

Sorry for the confusion, mine is L'occitane too - I was just agreeing with a PP that Nuxe oils are lovely!

OchonAgusOchonOh · 18/12/2021 09:55

@Orcadianrythyms

I'll put it in the bath, I can't be faffed with putting it on dry and then showering off. I like 'cleaning' showers and 'relaxing' baths. I love their shea hand creams so hope I'll like this. Worryingly I can't smell this very strongly Confused - if I get Covid now.........
You put it on wet skin rather than dry. It's pretty much a shower gel except you lose a lot less.
OchonAgusOchonOh · 18/12/2021 09:57

@RampantIvy

Just had a shower. I do not like this at all. I nearly slipped over in the shower and the smell is meh.
I've used this before and never had a slipping issue but I've used a very small amount. You use a lot less than shower gel.
DobbyTheHouseElk · 18/12/2021 10:00

Oh, well it will get used.

Cheesymonster · 18/12/2021 10:01

Will it lather up like a shower gel does?

OchonAgusOchonOh · 18/12/2021 10:03

@Cheesymonster

Will it lather up like a shower gel does?
No. You just have to trust it's cleaning you Xmas Grin

Thanks for clarifying, I now wont need to be jealous because I love Nuxe products.

NumaNumaYay · 18/12/2021 10:25

I loved the Nuxe shower oil from a previous calendar - washed as normal with soap, then put some of the oil on for a bit and rinsed off. I expect this is similar?

Really not sure about the smell - maybe it's nicer when you use it...

supadupapupascupa · 18/12/2021 10:30

I use the oil as the cleanser. It foams up a bit when wet. Much kinder to my skin than soap

RampantIvy · 18/12/2021 10:41

Thank you @latedecember1963, I'm fine.

I will use it in the bath next time though.

petitebleu · 18/12/2021 11:10

I really like L'Occitane shower oils. They last ages. Happy again today.

friedeggandsauce · 18/12/2021 11:13

I love this and am currently using it in the shower so pleased to have another one

Lowlifeinhighplaces · 18/12/2021 11:50

Its not meant to be Nuxe we were just talking about Nuxe!. I wont be changing tho L'Occtaine on the strength of this product.

Used it its ok, dont like the smell but not offensive.

But love love love the mascara, will be purchasing this product for certain. Used the day cream for 3 days now, not noticed any difference really its ok, if anything my face is a little dry. Have used the nail varnish again, and I am really liking the colour now. The lip balm I have tried and I like the colour must say

LivingDeadGirlUK · 18/12/2021 12:43

Well the mascara is lighter than my eyelashes so not sure I'm going to be using it, looking forward to trying the oil though, I think there was similar in the summer beauty box.

TheDuckSaysMoo · 18/12/2021 14:59

Advice from the l'occitane website says, "Apply the oil to dampened skin and massage in a circular movement until it transforms into a silky soft foam, then rinse off with luke warm water."

Porridgeislife · 18/12/2021 15:04

I love the mascara from yesterday but I’m very fair. It doesn’t clump my lashes at all which is my issue with most mascaras.

It’s definitely not a tubing mascara though, it’s just a standard one.

It says that on the bottle as well.

One advantage of being very short sighted is that I can read small print Grin

Lowlifeinhighplaces · 19/12/2021 07:43

Barrrrr, another Made in China product, this will go in the draw at work.

helloitsme3 · 19/12/2021 07:52

Three hand creams seems excessive

RampantIvy · 19/12/2021 08:02

What is your objection to products made in China @Lowlifeinhighplaces?
These are all cruelty free.

toastfiend · 19/12/2021 08:08

Bit disappointed with yet another hand cream, but I've liked both the others more than any I've tried elsewhere so far so hopefully this one will live up to that!

I had a L'Occitane calendar last year and I think that had 9 hand creams in it in total, so this one is still doing much better than that one. I'm still working my way through them now.

Lowlifeinhighplaces · 19/12/2021 08:22

@Rampantivy, I have many reasons as to why I would not knowingly purchase cosmetic products made in China, however its not something I wish to go into here if you dont mind. Thats my choice and just noticed as well the cream contains Propylparaben which is an ingredient which I avoid.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 19/12/2021 08:32

3 shower gels
3 hand creams

FreshFaceTime · 19/12/2021 08:52

Yeah I'm in the don't need 3 shower gels or 3 handcreams camp. I'll use them, I'd just rather try other products.

Shall we list a couple of ideas incase M&S marketing team are keeping an eye on the thread?

I'd have liked to see a hydrating overnight mask instead as I've got into those lately but haven't tried many.

toastfiend · 19/12/2021 09:14

For me hand cream and shower gel are perfectly nice but definitely at the boring end of a beauty advent calendar gift spectrum, so it's a shame that we have 3 of each, although I've loved the calendar otherwise.

Yes, I would have liked to see a face mask, too. Highlighter or primer or another make up product along those lines would have been appreciated by me. Body moisturiser is also quite dull, for me, but I'd rather have had some of that than yet another hand cream/shower gel. We had a sleep pillow spray a couple of years ago, which I liked and wouldn't have minded having again and would be something a bit different. I don't use bath bombs or bubble bath very much, but at least something like that would have mixed it up a bit from shower gel/handcream.

Overall, I would have liked a few more make-up products, some perfume and some skincare that didn't consist mainly of moisturisers, really. There's more to come, I suppose, so perhaps the rest will consist of all those things.
