My first quarterly box arrived today. It's £20 a month which is then "banked" so you can spend that on Liberty beauty making the box free. Free P&P on your purchases too.

my calendar also arrived today. Very excited. Am in bed ill with covid and this has perked me up no end. I had to ask DH to hide it from me until December tho. I’m desperately trying to forget what was in it!

@Someaddedsugar when the sport is on you are welcome to him 😂

🤣

Blossomtoes · 29/09/2022 21:07

Mine arrived today. My bloke: “Oh, that’s beautiful. I can see why you wanted it”. Hopefully he’ll pay for it next year!

MovinOnUp · 30/09/2022 00:33

Thanks @TabithaTittlemouse

Ducksinthebath · 30/09/2022 12:25

Interesting they keep emailing about the £10 off. The heady days of calendars selling out in hours must be behind us.

Blossomtoes · 30/09/2022 12:30

I think they’ll struggle to sell them this year. People are cutting down on luxuries.

There were problems for some people who tried to buy on preview day. Perhaps they don't want to annoy loyal customers?

BurningTheToast · 30/09/2022 15:04

Liberty are emailing to tell me that I can have £10 off but don't seem to have shipped the one I ordered on launch day!

Babysharkdoodoodood · 30/09/2022 23:36

I was supposed to be cutting back. Now have my Lakrids (liquorice) hidden under the drinks cupboard, my Nespresso stashed in the kitchen, my Liberty behind the dresser in the bedroom and the Degousta on its way.
DS1will get his usual Lindt and DS2 is getting a chilli sauce one. DH doesn't want anything, but he'll still nick my liquorice.
Still haven't decided which to get DS2's gf. She's had the Holland & Barrett for the last few years, but it looks a bit meh this time. I might wait for an ASOS discount code, or the Next one.

EasterIssland · 01/10/2022 08:55

I got a voucher for Liberty £30 off. Thanks. Could have had this a few days ago!

LesLavandes · 01/10/2022 09:28

I only got £10 voucher!

Same here! All these people already have them or getting shipping notifications and I want mine. Each liberty email is a little more salt in the wound! I am so impatient

LesLavandes · 01/10/2022 12:59

I ordered on launch day early and haven't received any shipping notification

Isabelle70 · 01/10/2022 13:36

Mine has arrived 😀 really pleased as I had to use a mail forwarder to be able to use my beauty drop cash. It weighs a ton and there must be some glass it there from the slight shake I have given it. My very helpful Ds has told me I can't open it until December! Now to go and put it away.

CactiQueen · 01/10/2022 13:43

@LesLavandes it might be worth chasing, I ordered mine on the 27th during the pre access and it was delivered the next day. I was expecting to wait so was really impressed!

pepperaunt · 01/10/2022 13:46

Mine is “hidden” behind the dresser still in its unopened box. I’m really trying not to peek!

TabithaTittlemouse · 02/10/2022 18:31

I used the zelens face mask and the under eye masks from the GWP last night and my skin feels amazing. I’ve loved everything in the bag but the noble isle lotion and zelens mask will definitely be repurchased.

WestrayWife · 02/10/2022 22:09

Can I advise everyone who has bought but not opened to open up and check the contents are all there / nothing has leaked? Or get DH / DC / friend to check if you are wanting to be surprised? I had a horrible issue one year where one of my items had burst and basically ruined multiple drawers. Was such a disappointment on advent eve (30th November) when I opened the big cardboard packing box it came in to find such a mess.

Lotsofpots · 02/10/2022 22:35

I decided not to go for it, despite having £100 in my BD account. I was kind of gutted as I've never had a beauty advent calendar despite loving advent calendars (never had one as a kid) and being a beauty addict. But just couldn't justify it when I have other things I need (want) to save for.

Came home today and my DH directed me to our room where the calendar is waiting for me. I didn't even drop any hints, I'm pretty gobsmacked.

Sounds trite, but I have been really dreading the run up to Christmas as my dad died earlier this year, and the last three autumns have just been ruined by cancer diagnoses, covid and chemo not working. The idea of having to feign Christmas spirit for DC, while feeling broken inside, feels awful - which makes me even sadder as I adore the run up to Christmas normally. The prospect of the advent calendar has ignited a little bit of excitement in my for the first time.

Zeeza · 02/10/2022 22:41

Oh lovely. Sometimes the nice little things are a good distraction for the big things we can't change. And the nice little things definitely all add up.

Sorry for your loss. Your DH sounds like a sweetie though.

TabithaTittlemouse · 03/10/2022 06:31

@WestrayWife good idea! Thank you. I’ll get Dh to check later.

@Lotsofpots thats lovely. Sorry for your loss.

Good idea, thank you for the suggestion.

Husband is checking it now...

Tootief · 03/10/2022 16:00

I've just signed up. Do you know whether my first box will be June or October's?
I can't find the answer anywhere.
Avoiding looking at June's in case it's that.
Thanks!

Zeeza · 03/10/2022 16:34

I suppose it depends how generous they want to be. I would expect October's. But June's wasn't amazing so you didn't miss much.

Tootief · 03/10/2022 16:44

@Zeeza thank you. I'm an idiot and forgot it was October already! 😂 So yes, it will be October.
