Fingers crossed @Caggie09 I will try and resist, it does look for what really is a free box,

latedecember1963 · 18/01/2022 17:34

I meant to post these empties a few days ago and forgot.
A mixture of routine things such as the baby powder and some less so.
The L'Occitine shower oil is from the M and S calendar. I don't use it in the shower because I'm scared of slipping but it's useful for a stand up wash by the washbasi n.
The Pure moisturiser is unfinished but it made the edges of my lips really sore and dry so it has to go. A couple of people on the M and S calendar thread said they had a similar reaction.
The Tisserand oil is also unfinished but smells like a musty old wardrobe. I love the lavendar version so keeping using that.

latedecember1963 · 18/01/2022 17:36

Forgot the photo.

The Liz Earle haul looks gorgeous. I love the skin tonic.

Empty again!!! Uber Glow - Face Tanning Drops. These come in a tiny dropper (12.5mls) perfect for travel. Not remotely orange, which is miraculous as my skin tone lends itself to “Do you need a liver transplant?” far too easily. I use tanning drops because no matter how much sunscreen I use, my arms and legs never match the parts covered by the hat and sunglasses. (Plus - vain.) I just mixed it into my Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium Lotion (which you will all have to pry from my cold, dead claws.)

Justilou1 · 19/01/2022 02:38

I also have Bondi Sands Pure ones. Equally good. May just tip the bottle into the HL…

Caggie09 · 19/01/2022 16:28

32/100

BS Peppermint body butter. Really refreshing, i know not everyone would like to smell minty, but i doGrin They dont do fun Christmas scents anymoreSad

Superdrug dry skin cream. HG for my eczema prone skin, use it nightly now. Smells like PVA glue though!

Skinnydip raspberry & cream bath syrup. This is the sort of rubbish i wont be buying anymore. I bought because it looked pretty, but it would of been about 5 quid for the gift set, i could of got 5 radox bubble baths. Lesson learnt. It smelled weird too.

Honey sheet mask. Treated myself to a mid afternoon bath and stuck this on until it dried up. Really nice. I do love a sheet nask though.

Mane & tail shampoo + conditioner sachet.

Another empty but can't count in this years total.
Astral Original Intensive moisturiser-bought this last year for my face but it was abit too greasy so used it everywhere else. I really liked the smell and would definately buy again once I use up all my other moisturisers.
Decluttered a 50ml Sanctuary Cocooning body butter as it was off, I must have opened it at some stage to smell it then put it at the back of the cupboard.

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 19/01/2022 22:38

Posted my empties on IG and forgot here!

Sorry @Caggie09 just saw my typo. I meant it looked great as is really a free box/gift.
I’ll have some full sizes empties to report tomorrow which I’m quite excited to finally finish 😂

LivingDeadGirlUK · 20/01/2022 07:20

Finished a small Dirty Works body butter, was pretty bad at soaking into the skin would not repurchase.

Also a hotel size 'Duck Isle' body lotion picked up at a hotel years ago. Nice citrus scent.

Justilou1 · 21/01/2022 02:37

Beginning to feel like Britney - “Oops I did it again” moment. Actually nothing “Oops” about it as this has been a long, hard battle as I have had something I love in my stash waiting to take it’s place. I feel I need a medal. What a matyr! I FIIIINALLY finished my last bottle of Andalou Naturals Quenching Coconut Water Firming (*Ahem…BS!) Cleanser. I used to love this. I double-cleanse and it does it’s job, but not as well as it’s replacement. Also, compared to it’s replacement, it’s quite highly fragranced - fine in a product you wash off immediately, imo, but I have never liked the smell of coconut except in a curry. It’s a foaming cleanser, (as in foams as it comes out of the dispenser) as I find them less stripping than other kinds of cleansers that I need after oil/balm cleanser to remove copious layers of sunscreen. (And mascara - am blonde and so are my three invisible eyelashes.)
I have decided to give up on the travel-sized Bum-Bum cream and fragrance mist set that I was going to “pan”. Man Alive is that a strong, gag-worthy smell. DH loves it, but to me it smells like rancid nougat. Passing along to a friend. I just don’t think I enjoy “tropical” fragrances close to my body. (Give me a bunch of fresh frangipani flowers and I’m in heaven though…)

Experiment627 · 21/01/2022 09:21

Frangipani flowers sound amazeballs @Justilou1

I have two reports to make:

  • Superdrug B melting cleansing balm: fab-u-lous! Does teh job, is not drying and also does not break the bank. In my mind this is a dupe for the Clinique "Take the day off".
  • Catrice Smokey Eyes pencil in petroling in the deep: I am very sad to say I am chucking this - it just won't sharpen anymore 😭 This was such a find - and actually my second one. But alas I do not think they make anymore or at least the site I have found that sells Catrice in the UK do not stock it. It was great as an eyeliner but also you could smudge it out to an eyeshadow effect. I do have another Catrice eyeliner at the ready - hopefully it will be as HG as this one has been.

I used to love Catrice when I lived in the Netherlands! I have really missed them since I moved here. (Especially their squeezy lipgloss dupes for the Clarins ones that everyone was bonkers for years ago. *Will admit to having only recently chucked them out.) Have discovered that they are now selling via Amazon. Just my luck when I’m doing my No Buy Year. (Still tempted by the hydrating full coverage foundation as my foundation is absolutely antique and probably learning to drive or hack the inter webs by now. I’m thinking a full-coverage one is a better idea, as it can be sheered out or worn as intended. If anyone has experience with this one, I’d love to hear about it.

Experiment627 · 21/01/2022 14:31

I do @Justilou1 🙋‍♀️
I got it after Tati recommended it. I have it in two colours (as first try was way too pale) and I also have the concealer. It is OK but I have not been blown away by it (I try it out in some of my videos - I have one called "Tati made me do it"). I am wanting to try the MAC Studio Fix one soon...

This weeks empties

OUAI detox shampoo - only a sachet that lasted for 2 washes, but I am impressed, would definitely consider buying it. It left my hair feeling super clean end soft- need to wait till I get through a 1L bottle of Aveda.
Arran Glenasdale hand cream - this has been on my desk at work for over 6 months and I love it. Lovely smell, great texture and lasts ages. Got a few hand creams to work my way through, but would buy this again.
QMS Deep Gentle Cleanser - I liked, not sure it was wow enough for me to buy, but a decent cleanser.
111skin de-puffing energy facial mask - used this before a night out, not as wow as other 111 masks I've tried, but definitely worth improved the texture of my skin.
Clinique mascara - don't know which one as it's worn off, but a decent mascara, not wow, but does the job and doesn't smudge.

I've been getting through at least 5 things in my stash each week, but also got the Liberty Beauty Drop Box this week! Slowly reducing what I have.

declutteringmymind · 21/01/2022 21:24

I'm looking forward to my Liberty beauty drop if I'm eligible. I only joined last month.

Justilou1 · 21/01/2022 23:10

Thanks @Experiment627 - I shall watch as soon as I’m not taxiing kids today

Experiment627 · 22/01/2022 03:32

Couple mor empties this week:

Oskia Renaissance mark - quite liked this, think it was in a GWP. I have a number of pots and tubes of face mask to use up before I RP anything tho.
elemis night cream - I love this, think this one was in LF AC 2020 - adore the smell and the feel of it on my skin.
I now can start the M&S night cream that some people have been raving about tho so that's exciting :)

MidnightMeltdown · 22/01/2022 10:51

I'm impressed at everyone's efforts to use up their stash this year. Especially you @Caggie09 - 32 empties so far, that's more than one a day!

I'm only up to 6 so far, but should have some more to report in the next couple of days.

Experiment627 · 22/01/2022 13:53

@clary is it the Formula sleep cream in a purple tub? LOVE IT!
