I've finished a tub of the superdrug vitamin c face jam mask. It smells lovely but a bit drying will not repurchase.

Experiment627 · 08/01/2022 20:49

@LivingDeadGirlUK sorry to hear it was drying - I love that stuff.

I'm a little bit addicted to hair and beauty stuff, it started with a glossy box and now I'm kind of addicted🙈🙈🙈

Minnie123456 · 09/01/2022 11:08

Thank you everyone for your lovely welcomes, although i'm not sure if this is the place to be as i've been googling all your lovely products to see what they are-I must NOT buy!!!
I'm going to Boots later to see if I can spend my voucher, my plan is just to spend it on skincare nothing else lol.

Caggie09 · 09/01/2022 17:37

19/100.

Bit of a pink theme going on here!

  • Lee Stafford Choco locks shampoo. I didnt like this, normally a shampoo is just a shampoo to me and cant really be bad. But this, yuck! Made my hair feel quite straw like, and dont think my scalp liked it either. Not finished the conditioner yet, but similar thoughts.
  • Lee Stafford Growth treatment. Last ome i had in my stash. Nothing special, wouldnt RP.
  • Lush Snow fairy body conditioner. Got this in the sale, would never pay full price as its not worth it! But, i do enjoy using it along side the shower gel. If you skip lotion its convienent using this while in the shower as you still step out eith soft and hydrated skin, plus you smell like candy floss. Will take the pot back and get 50p towards a bathbomb.
  • Trish McEvoy Eye Masks. I prefer gel ones over tissue. I like the cooling effect, these were okay. I like Pixi for eye gels, so wouldnt be fussed at looking at these.
  • Acqua Di Parma Colonia mini. Gosh, think this is from a JL advent calendar from about 4 year ago. Lovely citrus scent i get, im not good with notes, so could be completely wrong!! Who knows, i may purchase one day, but not right now.

Todays empty- M&S Cocoa butter&vanilla hand&nail cream. I didn't really like this, it smelt nice but didn't moisturise my hands at all. It is vegan and cruelty free though. I can't count this in this years usage as I opened it way last year.

I never spent my voucher as the never had what I was looking for. I managed to resist buying a White Collection advent calendar it was reduced to half price.

WellTidy · 09/01/2022 22:42

An empty - 75ml/g body shop Himalayan mud mask. I’ve had this for over a year (maybe two) and it seems to have lasted through soooo many uses. Excellent value. Nice, not sure if RP as I feel like I want a change now. But does the job well.

Also finished 3 x sachets 6ml each of Occitane almond body cream. Absolutely lovely but won’t buy as I have so so many others in the stash. I see. To have loads of these sachets - clearly a freebie with so many occitane purchases!

Experiment627 · 10/01/2022 05:30

I have got two "empties":

  • Mavala double lash: this is supposed to make my eyebrows and eyelashes amazing but has not done so, and when I used last night, hurt like f!*k. So this is a chuck.
  • I Love tonka bean & myrrh body wash: this was in the H&B advent and I as just SO nice!!! The smell was subtle but dreamy! Reminded me of the Ayumi one from last year's advent. I would definitely repurchase. I think that is me out of shower gels again. I am going to use up some of my son's body wash thing and then go back to soap for a while. My bath area is looking mighty cluttered (again).

Ha @Experiment627 , shower gel is something I'll never run out of, I have a huge stash as I tend to buy one in the supermarket just about every week, I'm a sucker for new smells and vibrant colours (and special offers). I have a couple of expensive shower gels (currently using one from Fresh which is divine) but most are £1 cheapies 😊.

Empties:

  • Medik8 clarifying foam cleanser. Boy am I glad to have finished this, didn't like it. The foam was insubstantial and it never felt particularly cleansing. Quite good for cleaning make up brushes.
  • Sunday Riley Ice cream moisturiser. Love it. Really thick and creamy , I use as a night cream. Mega pricey though. I have a replacement in the stash (Black Friday purchase) then I have to find a cheaper replacement (sob).
  • Paula's Choice Age Resist Eye cream; liked this as a fairly basic eye cream with nice thick consistency. I don't like runny lotions! This didn't sting even when my eyes are irritated which is a big point in its favour.

Chuck: Honest Beauty matte primer from a GWP last year. Tried a few times but I don't generally use a primer and I prefer to use a little light powder for mattifying parts of my face rather than a mattifier under foundation. Having spent years trying to mattify I'm now trying to look a bit more glowy as my skin gets older.

daisyjgrey · 10/01/2022 23:41

Two tonight.

REN Overnight glow dark spot sleeping cream - this is really rich, it feels good on your skin and it lasts until morning, which is something I like although I know it's not for everyone. My face is more evenly toned than it was 6-9 months ago but I don't know if I can attribute it to this cream or not because I started using a retinol at the same time. It's good, but on be pricier side. I have other moisturisers in the queue so won't RP yet.

The Inkey List Retinol - I really like this, I use it nightly and the texture of my face is better, my skin is less dull too. It's not wildly expensive and my skin seems to tolerate it well, which I know can be an issue with retinoids. I bought a second one when there was a 3 for 2 in Boots as I liked it so much so I'm classing this as an RP, and probably an HG at the minute.

Experiment627 · 11/01/2022 06:06

@ponks a shower gel each week? 😱 where do you find the space to stash?!

@daisyjgrey I am a fan of The Inkey List retinol too - I just keep forgetting to use it... I shall move back to the bathroom (it currently is in the bedroom) as I tend to do my evening routine in there at the minute.

I have decided to visit the biggest Boots in London (allegedly) and go WILD!! I am sick of buying online! I want to browse! I am planning two videos - this is now my way to justify my beauty product addiction: LONG LIVE YT!!!!

Another empty… (but it was tiny!) A sample of Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream. It was nice. Pretty much exactly the same as Cerave Hyaluronic Serum (which is more of a cream IMO). I certainly liked it, but would t buy it.

PomRuns · 11/01/2022 11:36

Finally starting !
molton brown vetiver & grapefruit shower gel. I’ve decided I really don’t like grapefruit.

Clarins tonic body treatment oil. Loved it, gorgeous fragrance, moisturising and not too oily. Definite repurchase for me.

Ren overnight dart spot cream. Was only 10ml so difficult to know if did anything, but it had a really awful smell.

Eve Lom lip balm. Was fine, quite sticky. Not a repurchase.

Prai neck cream. Throwing. Texture has gone very gloopy.

dermalogica 2 x samples. Skin resurfacing cleanser and mulitvitamin therma foliant - would buy both. The face scrub was fab, very smoothing and made my skin glow - I’d imagine not for sensitive skin though.

Aveda sample hand serum. Was v runny, too small to tell really if any good. I’m not tempted to buy.

So far this year:
4 sachets/samples.
5/100 products finished.

Caggie09 · 11/01/2022 16:45

Ohh @Ponks i love the Fresh shower gel. I too have lots of shower gels, but it is in the back of my mind to RP. I also love SR ICE. Its a HG for me.

@PomRuns i have the Clarins oil in stash, cant wait to crack it open!

@Experiment627 ohh go for it!! Not that you need any encouragement from this side!!Grin

afaloren · 11/01/2022 16:56

Hello, may I join in please?

My stash doesn’t LOOK too bad because it’s all nearly in boxes in the (massive) cupboard but appearances are deceiving.

I had a Cult Beauty advent calendar and I’ve got nowhere to put all the stuff from it Blush so I really need to start destashing. I’ve had a couple of products go off because I didn’t use them in time which is so annoying!

I did a big declutter of nice stuff to give to the women’s shelter and now need to work on what’s left. I am also a magpie and tend to switch to something new instead of finishing what I’m using so hoping this thread will help me use stuff up.

Experiment627 · 11/01/2022 17:01

Welcome @afaloren - you are amongst friends 😊

@Caggie09 it’s gorgeous, I’ve another small bottle.
@afaloren that’s such a good job done. Welcome to all new people who will be enabled to buy more lovely things 😳

afaloren · 11/01/2022 17:03

Thank you @Experiment627 Cake

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 11/01/2022 22:01

Lovely to see so many new people on the thread.

supadupapupascupa · 11/01/2022 22:47

Not got any empties yet, but popping on to tell you how much I love my Xmas prezzy! An aromatherapy associates atomiser. Currently enjoying the breathe oils in my bedroom. My god I love it! I use the shower oils anyway, but this means I don't need to get wet to enjoy haha

afaloren · 12/01/2022 16:41

My first empty!

Nuxe reve de miel lip balm. This was about my third or fourth and I’ve already got a new one. Love it so much and find I only need to apply morning and evening.

PomRuns · 12/01/2022 18:22

@supadupapupascupa very interested in the diffuser !

supadupapupascupa · 12/01/2022 18:38

It's ace! Honestly I love it :-)

CommanderBurnham · 12/01/2022 20:19

Hi all! A few empties:

Sanctuary foaming bath 75ml. Bought 2 as a basket filler. They're fine for what they are. Might RP if I need to fill up a
Look fantastic basket but they're not great value for what they are.

Skin and Me tube. I'm on a maintenance dose. It's boring but effective, and terrific value for prescription tret at a concentration that my skin can tolerate.

I've got my eye on the next victims to fall from the stash. They're full size so I'm sick of them and it will mean I can finally ponder some purchases.

declutteringmymind · 12/01/2022 20:21

Oh and I've had my eye on the rituals diffuser but need to do my research as it looks faffy and I'd want to use non rituals oils in it too.
