@JunieSpoony Grin I'm not wrong though!

JunieSpoony · 09/11/2021 01:15

@daisyjgrey I meant it genuinely! Grin

It’s Neutrogena face wash for me. Just bought some for DS, and every time I catch a whiff it transports me right back.

Justilou1 · 09/11/2021 01:29

@VanillaSpiceCandle I’m a cancerian too so maybe there’s something in the whole astrology thing after all! (At least with the cat hair thing!) I just wanted to throw in that I have also found Tony & Guy strengthening shampoo. (The conditioner is WAY too heavy for me). It comes in giant bottles and it’s much cheaper. Seems a good option. Doesn’t irritate my scalp either. (Also best purple shampoo I have found too!)

Justilou1 · 09/11/2021 01:34

@daisyjgrey - waiting for someone to break out that something 10, stinky, stinging stuff in the tan bottle for the 80’s teenagers. Googled it.

Two empties - it cosmetics serum, this was nice, from a gwp I think.

And Dr organic moisturiser, from H&B Ac last year, nice fragrance and texture. Quite pleased to be getting through some bigger pots :)

Morning!
I have one empty to report:

  • Loreal Prodigy 3 magnifying satin conditioner: lovely friend gave this to me. Really nice on, did not make my oily roots worse which is wonderful. I am now on to my last stashed conditioner 😱😱😱😱

TBH I am feeling in a way better place about my stash - which is still large but cos I am using stuff for video content and then passing on un-empties to my SIL/mother/others it is not overwhelming. I feel like I have given my addiction a purpose... am probably fooling myself but it serves me to believe this at the mo so whatevs.

I'd forgotten about Ten-O-Six, @Justilou1, although I had some of that too (and felt very grown up). Just add a bottle of Sun In, a white musk EDT and we'll be right back there.

CherryMargo · 09/11/2021 16:49

@latedecember1963 I’m another one who cuts the product tubes! ✂️ I also use tube squeezers… and Every Drop spatulas… and I scoop my lipsticks and lip balms out of the tubes with a lip brush until there’s nothing left of them (see the attached photos of a lipstick which I finished last month) 🆘 🆘 🆘

@JunieSpoony “I find empties inordinately satisfying. I think it must be because I never finish any projects in any other areas of my life Blush This is me to a T 🙌 I have a tendency to stretch out even small-scale projects over the weeks/months/years, sometimes decades 🙈 I don’t even have empties that often, but when I do, for a brief moment it feels like a touch of heaven.

As for the foot cream for callused and hardened skin, my current HG is SVR XERIAL 50 Extreme Feet Cream. It contains 50% urea.

@Ponks I have also purchased the LIXIRSKIN Vitamin C Paste on a recommendation, and, unfortunately, it makes my skin rough, itchy and dry. Such a pity, ‘cause I really wanted to love it! 😢

@Experiment627 I think this is the best way to handle the addiction! Your YT channel is great, keep up the good work! 👍 If my stash wasn’t so embarrassingly old, I would probably give it a social media presence, too 😊

Experiment627 · 09/11/2021 17:01

Why thank you @Cherrymargo - it means a lot that you are watching :)

I think I used ten-0-six exactly once @CherryMargo. That stuff was nuclear. May have made me cry. As for BS White Musk, I had no issues with that until I was on a full bus traveling from Melbourne to Brisbane (those were the days - says how old I am!) on Christmas Eve. The trip used to take about 26hrs, and airconditioning wasn’t quite as effective then as it is now, either. I was right behind the driver, and next to a young woman who was much larger than me. She sprayed herself liberally with White Musk every twenty minutes of so, and it made me sneeze and wheeze, and I politely asked her to maybe wait until we had a rest stop before she sprayed it next. Of course that request was ignored. The bus driver said “What is that perfume?” So she told him. He asked if he could look at the bottle, and she handed it over. He threw it out the window while the bus was hurtling down the highway. He said, “It f**ken stinks…” and didn’t even look at her. (Never been more indebted to a man with a permed mullet in my life.)

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 10/11/2021 09:17

I enjoyed @Justilou1 ‘s bus driver story waaaaaay too much.

Experiment627 · 10/11/2021 09:43

LOL me too @SlatternIsMyMiddleName it reminded me of a coach trip I did London - Madrid when I was 17 or 18. I had just acquired a much coveted bottle of Eau de Arpege which was almost empty by the end of the 24 hour journey. Fortunately I got no complaints nor was my bottle thrown off the bus!

Hilarious, @Justilou1 and @Experiment627

One teeny tiny empty: sample of Penhaligon’s Bewitching Yasmine. Didn’t love it, and also for the price I am surprised at the short life span of the scent.

JunieSpoony · 10/11/2021 15:13

Ooh @supadupapupascupa! Can we see the inside soon?

supadupapupascupa · 10/11/2021 15:33

Boots box contents. 28 items. Even the dog is like wtf???

Oh my lord. Christmas really has come early!!

JunieSpoony · 10/11/2021 15:59

Wow! Wonder if Boots US has it and will ship to Canada...

PomRuns · 10/11/2021 16:02

@supadupapupascupa wowsers ! Looks fab.

@Justilou1 loved the bus story

Currently trying to resist the Elemis qvc offer.

Holy Mary Mother of GOD @supadupapupascupa!!! I am now chanting the mantra "resist, resist, resist"!!!

supadupapupascupa · 10/11/2021 16:30

I will be honest I'm feeling slightly sick. I've got the Harrods and F&M advents yet to open and I signed up to the Liberty drop too.
I've decided I'm going to enjoy the opening in the run up to Christmas but next year I seriously need to stop.

Excited
Feel sick
Big guilt
Excited at the pritties
Pain

And so on....

latedecember1963 · 10/11/2021 16:48

I'm very impressed with your lipstick empties, CherryMargo! I thought my mum was thorough in getting the very last out of her favourite lippies, but I think you'd put her to shame. 😂
The Boots Showstopper looks fabulous, Supadupapupascupa! 😍 I'm trying to resist too.

Justilou1 · 10/11/2021 17:47

@supadupapupascupa - kinda pleased that advent calendars aren’t really a thing here or I’d be in trouble too. Looks like so much fun!!!
@Experiment627 I loooove Eau de Arpege. (Nearly bought some recently actually, but my friend gave me the giant bottle of perfume so I thought that was a bit excessive.

Experiment627 · 10/11/2021 18:42

@Justilou1 with Arpege: I adored the formula in the eighties/early 90s but then the bastardos changed the formula!!! Whilst the new version is ok it is not a patch of the scent I fell in love with. I have bought vintage bottles in the past but perfume really does not age well.
