I use flexitil for cracked heels too. I also use newtons podiatry sponge (forgot to add these to my stash too - I have three new ones) which, together, do help. But my heels are shocking. They did improve hugely, hugely, after a footner too, but I’m not sure footner is advised for cracked skin.

JunieSpoony · 01/11/2021 18:50

I will try both of those, thanks @FreshFaceTime and @WellTidy

JunieSpoony · 01/11/2021 18:52

@FreshFaceTime, did you use the foot cream, or the hand & body cream with urea?

MidnightMeltdown · 01/11/2021 18:53

@JunieSpoony

I've never tried Flexitol so can't compare, but Bodyshop Hemp is definitely the best one that I've tried.

If your skin is really bad, then you really need to remove the top layers. Something like a Sholl pedi roller might work, but better if you can get it done somewhere (I've had it done occasionally when my feet have been really bad. It doesn't hurt, but really makes me cringe so I don't go often!!).

Would definitely recommend Bodyshop Hemp in the meantime though (if you can find any in stock!).

And very true about the Chantecaille! I am relieved that I won't have to sell my house to moisturise my face 😂

FreshFaceTime · 01/11/2021 19:01

@JunieSpoony I just used the hand and body cream as that's what I had in. Didn't know they did specific foot cream. I guess I'd have probably tried that if I'd been on the lookout for something for heels but the hand and body one worked for me.

JunieSpoony · 01/11/2021 19:02

Thanks both, good to know. It's just occurred to me that hyaluronic acid serum might be good for heels...

WellTidy · 01/11/2021 20:00

The flexitol heel cream is 25% urea and it is quite difficult to spread and sink in. I find this is the case when the urea content increases, as does the smell! But it does work for me. I tend to use it at bed time and then put socks on.

PomRuns · 01/11/2021 21:29

Love your list @WellTidy
Great progress @CherryMargo

Caggie09 · 02/11/2021 07:54

Ahh, i fell off thread!!

Still not using much skincare, but i have an empty.

  • Zelens Z Balance mist. Ive not used a Zelens product ive been blown away by. It just seems over priced for what it does.

As i cant use skincare atm, i feel sorry for myself. So have done a Diptyque haulBlush Some Candles and a boujee shower foam. Very excitedGrin

WellTidy · 02/11/2021 09:22

Caggie09 A diptyque haul sounds perfect. I absolutely love Diptyque. The fig candle is my favourite candle in the world. I buy the little one, which is still nearly £30, but I find that the fragrance lasts ages and it burns so cleanly. Also love the jasmine one. Which ones did you go for?

Also realised that I can't even do a stock take properly. As well as missing the Rituals, soap&glory and the Filorga, I forgot my 2 x Estee Lauder Idealist pore refiner 50ml which I use daily and I love (though it getting pricey at £72) and a 200ml Arran hand lotion.

PomRuns · 02/11/2021 10:31

Love Diptyque as well - so worth spending a little more on. Very keen on neom too and I think I linked previously, they have some great bundles at the moment plus a free Christmas candle if you spend over £50.

PomRuns · 02/11/2021 11:26

@MidnightMeltdown I hope you like it - I thought it was a really good every day use product. I just started a rituals and I don't like it as much.

TheChosenTwo · 02/11/2021 23:40

Had an empty this morning, it was the phoera foundation that I bought on the off chance that it would be just about alright, I have to say, it’s not great with oil control but it’s a fantastic foundation for about a fiver and I’m an Hourglass/Pat McGrath girl usually. Over the last 6 months I’ve opted for the Phoera for foundation purely because I absolutely love it even though I need to powder (blot with a paper towel at lunch or, 9 times out of 10 just don’t bother!!) - but I have the same situation whatever foundation I wear - I just have a very greasy nose!!
I use about a quarter of a pump for my whole face as not keen on a heavy/full coverage personally, my skin isn’t in any way bad I just like to even out my complexion, I use the tiniest amount and just buff it in, I have another bottle but will probably use my other ones first just to get the use out of them. The PM in particular was horribly expensive and is nice but… it’s a fiver!!

JunieSpoony · 03/11/2021 15:49

I used up a sample sachet of Ginseng Heaven Grade face serum. I quite liked it. It would probably have lasted for three days if I hadn't tried to do it in the dark while watching Netflix and squeezed most of it all over the bed. Would definitely like to try a bigger sample.

JunieSpoony · 05/11/2021 17:01

Has everyone else fallen off the thread? I miss reading about your acquisitions products being used up.

latedecember1963 · 05/11/2021 18:18

I'm still here, just not got any empties to report.
My local Boundary Mill has sent me a postcard telling me all about their new Cosmetics Company Store Outlet that has opened this week with up to 30% off retail prices. So tempting to go " just to have a look" but I will resist for now!

Ponks · 05/11/2021 20:51

I lost the thread for a while, quite a few empties to report. Have been trying not to acquire as I want to use up what I've got but I keep getting all these emails about advent calendars, special offers, GWP. You would be proud, I have not succumbed (yet). Though I will be needing a day moisturiser soon... just got to decide what to get. I'm finding I prefer creamier more luxurious moisturisers these days.

Anyway on with the empties:

  • Botanics hydrating overnight mask (in their simply calm range). Quite nice, used after retinol. Cheap but won't repurchase as smells too herby.
  • Lixirskin vitamin c paste, bought this after someone on here recommended it saying it gave them glass skin... how can you resist? I did get the "glass skin" feeling to begin with but think I took too long to use it up as recently has been a bit meh.

Kiehl’s viral skin strengthening serum, large sample size. Loved this even though it too smells a bit herby, and will purchase at some point.

  • Rodial bee venom eye cream : ok not earth shattering.
  • Inkey List tranexamic night treatment: didn't like this, due to the texture and slightly medicinal smell, ended up not finishing it.
JunieSpoony · 05/11/2021 23:15

So much marketing pressure/temptation! I’m dropping lots of hints to Santa about things I would like, but I really don’t need anything right now, except for a calming toner and an eye cream that works AND is suitable for rosacea.

NotMyCat · 06/11/2021 00:45

I have succumbed to a ciate deal I saw Blush

FluffyWhiteBird · 06/11/2021 00:46

One empty, mouthwash, at least 3 more in the stash!

Justilou1 · 06/11/2021 02:14

Hi again! I fell off the thread! That’s been happening a bit lately! Always the good ones too! 💩 Meanwhile, no interesting empties, just hand wash that is an Aussie supermarket brand that was very 🤷🏼‍♀️ so I’m glad that’s gone. New one is nice - Amber and sage scent. Of course I get sick of them super-fast, so I don’t buy fancy ones. Was given a GIGANTOR bottle of Nike EDT by a friend. I would never have looked at that twice. Because… Nike do perfume??? Who knew??? That’s so weird to me…. But I don’t do sport - ever. Anyhow, I looked at her sideways, and said um.. “Thanks?” She laughed and said “Smell it, Stupid!” It’s a dead ringer for Trussardi Donna, which I adore! Admittedly lighter, as it’s edt (and $15), but 200ml fugly millennial pink bottle is with it!!! Summer spitzer ahoy!!! Tempted to try others, but she said they’re almost all fruit punch. My DD1 bought some cream blushes from Japanese brand Canmake. Will insert photos below. Adorable, cheap and GOOD! She decided she doesn’t like cream blush, so I got them all! I prefer their newer “luminous” formula. (It’s so subtle, barely glowy at all) They’re not

Justilou1 · 06/11/2021 02:35

whoops -good time for battery to kick it!
They’re not too pigmented like some cream blushes. They’re easy to work with. You can sheer them out and layer them up. They’re cream to powder (I think) and can be used on lips and eyes as well. (Great on eyes!!!) They’re actually called the “Pearl” formula, sorry! Equally good with fingers and brushes. So much for destashing!!! (Will ditch the colourpop sticks that I never use though - I look very clowny and they don’t last.)

Aaaand - I have repurposed the Melano C Lotion/Essence that I didn’t want to bin, but didn’t love. Have killed two birds with one stone and created a more usable product!!! I mixed my Paradise Drops (dark) and another brand of tanning drops directly into the bottle and shook it up. I apply to face and bod and use a mitt on bod and big makeup brush on face and have the best fake tan ever. (And thanks to the scent of the vitamin c stuff, I don’t smell like fake tan). Also justified opening my face whitening one!!! That sounds contradictory doesn’t it?

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 06/11/2021 08:49

I have been keeping an eye on the thread but I never seem to have any empties! This is despite the fact that I am using more ‘stuff’ than ever.

Anyway, I enjoy reading about what everyone else is using and I am also realizing how brand non adventurous I am.

clary · 06/11/2021 10:53

Sorry not had any empties lately. Just did a quick declutter of make up bag and have binned an Estee Lauder lip liner that is very old and a bit grotty.

Also put to one side:
Three lippies - nice colours but they are almost empty and rather old. Trouble is, this leaves me with only two, both very similar shades. Am getting one more in Advent calendar...
Almost empty mineral foundation compact - cute but also old and I prefer something less drying now - that's deffo going
Eye shadow palette - I bought myself a CT one as I saw it reduced and this No7 one is really old. Not finished at all tho and I do like the dark purple...will have a compare with the new one and maybe out this as well.

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 06/11/2021 11:26

I have a number of CT eye palettes. I find them lovely to look at but quite messy to apply.
