Ok mascara chuck thus morning, it was Anastasia lash Beag, pretty good except for last couple of weeks. Starting the Lumenevone now.

WellTidy · 16/10/2021 07:36

Chucked four Estée Lauder mini mascaras yesterday. All the same - Supreme something. It left me with panda eyes, and had been sitting there for a few years, so no point on keeping them.

Sapphire that is good work in the eyeshadow palettes. Wow. I am down to seven palettes (some just have four colours, others have 12) but can’t go down further as I use at least one colour, sometimes five, from each. I wear eyeshadow everyday.

ememem84 · 16/10/2021 07:59

That’s a huge amount of pallets @SapphireSeptember I have 7. Some used. Some unopened.

I’m still working through my naked one. And have a Huda nudes and a bare minerals nudes to use up. But am working in the more neutral shades in the naked one first. The other pallets have brighter colours in them.

Im trying to use every day. But some days I can’t be bothered.

Empties

Saturday skin yuzu serum. It was a trial size from one of the feel unique beauty bags.

I also picked up a shed load of boots points the other day mostly on gifts for other people. But I did buy a dyson hairdryer.

Holy grail - the product you love
supadupapupascupa · 16/10/2021 09:20

Thank you I figured it out eventually.

I've joined the liberty club and am impressed with the first beauty drop.

Harrods advent arrived yesterday and is truly a thing of beauty! Fortunes on its way.

But I realised I am out of hand. I'm bursting at the seems of storage already and now I've made it worse! I don't even use stuff up that fast!

So time for an education! Can anyone send me somewhere where I can learn about what all the different serums actually do and how you should use them? I think that's what I need......

WellTidy · 16/10/2021 13:30

Another empty! On a roll here. 10ml Nuxe body oil from an M&S beauty box at some point. Ok, nothing amazing. Would use again but wouldn’t purchase.

SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace · 16/10/2021 13:33

Hello!

I've finally found my people 😂 I own a shameful amount of makeup/skincare. Brushes are a particular weakness of mine.

I have a beauty blog and Instagram so review a lot of stuff and have major fear of missing out when something new is released. I've definitely been much better in the last 6 months though! Lockdown was horrendous for me. The online shopping absolutely killed me.

hellololabells2019 · 16/10/2021 16:55

@SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace what's your Instagram?

NotMyCat · 16/10/2021 16:59

I've been to TK maxx. Oh dear oh dear GrinBlush

SapphireSeptember · 16/10/2021 20:59

I own a fuck tonne of eyeshadow palettes, the chocolate bar ones are just one type of the ones I own, (I love Revolution, but they enable me!) I love collecting things, make-up is just one part of that. I'm trying to be more choosey about what I buy, will I love it and wear it?

@Experiment627 I do, but mainly bright or deep colours. The ones I've got rid of have nude or muted colour schemes. Some of them are beautiful, but as I've never used them, away they shall go.

@WellTidy Only seven? Shock I can't imagine only having seven, you're more restrained than me. I have an obsession with what I refer to as paint box palettes, if they look like a set of watercolour paints I want them. Grin

@ememem84 I don't wear nudes very often, I'm learning that about myself, which is something, and I definitely prefer shimmers.

Experiment627 · 16/10/2021 21:30

Ooooooo @ememem84 is the hairdryer good?

Welcome @supadupapupascupa !!!
If you are not sure about skincare ingredients/serums I would recommend Pinterest- I actually have a board dedicated to skincare ingredients, another for skincare routines ☺️ if you search on there I am sure you will find some guidance.
Also feel free to ask on here - maybe list what serums and we can give our POV?

Welcome @SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace!!!
Great username BTW! 🤣🤣🤣
I would be interested on knowing your IG handle too.

@SapphireSeptember I did a declutter a few months ago & now have probably about 10 palettes. I got given the Urban Decay Born to run one for my birthday and I LOVE it!! The rest are mainly Revolution, Sleek & MUA.
I don't wear eyeshadow every day but I am wearing more often so I can justify more purchases 🤭

I've just chucked a neals yard night cream as it totally breaking me out in huge spots. What is eveyones opinion on lacura caviar range?

SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace · 16/10/2021 21:40

@hellololabells2019 @Experiment627 I'm the.beauty.boo over on Instagram! I reckon once you've seen me my username here will make sense 😂

Experiment627 · 16/10/2021 21:48

Thank you so much! That's so kind 🥺 I have a lot of help as you can probably tell by my hoarding 😅

I followed you Smile
Today's purchases

SapphireSeptember · 17/10/2021 00:29

@Experiment627 I do love the look of the Born to run one, my most expensive purchase was the Ace Beaute palettes in Oceanic and Vintage Dawn. I have used them, but not as much as I should! I own some high end/indie palettes, but most of it is Revolution/MUA, with some Sleek, Essence and NYX thrown in for good measure.

And don't get me STARTED on highlighters and lip products. Blush

Although earlier this year I had to throw away loads of lip and eye pencils and they'd gone funny. It made me feel so sad, (I think it was 120 in all) but now I don't have that many, and the ones I do have I know I'll use

Justilou1 · 17/10/2021 04:05

I might have accidentally bought two mini Natasha Denona palettes on sale yesterday. Probably should have simply bought one of the middle-sized ones as that costs about the same on sale, but do I really need a giant one?

TurtleRain · 17/10/2021 04:52

Hey 👋🏻 can I join?

I was considering buying an advent calendar but realistically I would rather spend £300 on products I want, rather than buying a calendar where I like half of the products and won't use the rest.

Recent beauty buys:

I've found that I love all Michael Van Clarke hair products. Since I started using them my previously limp and thinning peri hair is thicker, longer and glossy. I can't rave about it enough.

Some Neom products.

Summer Fridays jet lag mask Liz Earle Cica and Korres night moisturisers. I'm just trying the Kind Natured Sleeping Night Cream.

For Retinol I use Medik8 or Verso.

When it comes to peels I prefer a slap on and leave it type like AlphaH and recently I've become a sucker for Dr Dennis Gross.

Brands I can't resist trying out Glow, Fresh and others similar.

Always have the Cerave, LRP and Avene

TurtleRain · 17/10/2021 05:02

Pants posted too soon.

That should have said:

Always have the Cerave, LRP, Avene, Inkey and The Ordinary staples.

This month I need:
Perfumes, some Palmers body stuff, I thought I would try the Kiehls retinol and I'll treat myself to small Cult Beauty and Feelunique splurges.

Since lockdown my eye and face palettes and lipsticks are still all fine. I do need new eye pencils, mascaras, brow pencils and gels.

Despite my comments about advent calendars I have never met a free beauty bag offer that I can resist.

I'm here for the tips and recommendations.

Do I qualify?

Experiment627 · 17/10/2021 06:25

@SapphireSeptember I just did a lipstick declutter which I made a video of - its on my YT channel 🙃 I see any form of declutter a step forward. I would also say that if your collection brings you joy then where is the harm?

Welcome @TurtleRain !!! LOL we don't have a joining criteria 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe we need an initiation ritual!!! But we don't have one of those either. You are more than welcome to join!
I am going to check out Michae van Clarke - thanks for the tip!
With advents I have usually gone for the less expensive ones - last year I was wowed by the Holland & Barrett one & have that again this year. I also got the Boots McMillan one - so two for less than £100

Eye make up is my weakness, I love it. Interesting that my fellow posters buy palettes, I tend to go for single colours that I then blend with others. A quick look at my current open stash shows at least 5 different sparkly black eyeshadow, all different brands. I dare not count the purples.

Justilou1 · 17/10/2021 09:46

I followed you too @SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace… Very cool!!!

Justilou1 · 17/10/2021 09:49

@ememem84 did you get the hairdryer or the hair wrap? I have the dryer and can’t imagine living without it. I have shoulder length hair that’s more like cat hair than human hair, it’s so fine. It’s in much better condition since I invested. (About five years ago.) I also have a wrecked shoulder, so the weighted handle makes a massive difference for me too.
