FINALLY finished industrial sized bottle of Shu Uemura Yuzu Oil Cleanser. It was… fine. Massively over-hyped, though. I didn’t pay for it, so that’s something. Would have been happier if it actually smelled like yuzu. (I love citrus everything.) The bottle was 450ml and whole it worked, the Muji oil cleanser was about 1/5th the price and is a much more effective and enjoyable experience. Going to use Purito From Green Cleansing Oil next. (Stash.)

@SlatternIsMyMiddleName well done on chucking out some 25 year old water!!!

OP posts:
SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 12/10/2021 08:13

Smile I know, I know. Even when finally chucking it part of my brain was screaming “but it’s Evian!”.

I really must catch myself on.

FluffyWhiteBird · 12/10/2021 12:51

An Evian face spray I have had for ……… 25 years. I remember buying it when I first started working, that wasn’t yesterday.

😂 I feel like you should have some sort of prize 😂. I wonder how much bacteria was in it after all this time?😳

PomRuns · 12/10/2021 13:19

The Evian is amazing !

Skin laundry - refreshing mask. Was fine, nothing special, 2 more in my stash.

clarins foot cream, it's fine not that exciting, unfortunately have another to get through.

Ponks · 12/10/2021 16:19

The 25 year Evian must be a record on this thread! Grin

Today's empty is a trial size Cult 51 day cream. Nice but not keen on the smell (sort of musty floral) and even less keen on the price (£100 for full size). .

I don't know why I keep believing there is a magic cream out there which will improve my skin and get rid of the craters under my eyesSad

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 12/10/2021 17:56

……. Slattern takes a bow……..

Thank you ladies for my prize. I take my accolades where I can get them!

ememem84 · 13/10/2021 07:39

My face did not fall off 😂

Experiment627 · 13/10/2021 10:57

So pleased your face did not fall off @ememem84!!!

I have some empties/chucks:

  • Ren Instant firming beauty shot: really do not like this under foundation - not much left of this 10ml tube, am chucking
• Revolution Toning Boost Bakuchiol eye cream - giving to SIL - just does not sink in well • Up Circle face scrub coffee and citrus oils - giving this to SIL - too oily and harsh and bloody leaks everywhere!

EMPTY: Benefit Pore-fessional primer mini (7.5ml). This is a HG product for me so will definitely RP. I have a set of three pore-fessional minis and am liking the hydrate one at the moment.

Experiment I've had that REN beauty shot before and found that it made zero difference to how I looked. I've never bought a REN product, I've only ever had them in beauty bags, but I haven't been at all impressed with any of them. Hooray for being able to sample before shelling out!

MidnightMeltdown · 13/10/2021 12:04

@SlatternIsMyMiddleName

That's hilarious! I chucked out a half used cellulite cream the other day that I think is around 10 years old. Suddenly it seems practically brand new compared to your Evian! Perhaps I better go fish it out of the bin....😂

Experiment627 · 13/10/2021 12:28

@MidnightMeltdown don't you dare!!!

@WellTidy I have found exactly the same for all the REN stuff I have had over the years in advents. Really not a brand that I would buy from.

Some bits and bobs!

  • Cetraben 30g x2. These were a freebie, nd ad popped up on fb so claimed them. Really helped with my flare up.
  • Superdrug dry skin cream x12. I buy 12 once a year so im stocked up. Its my ultimate HG. Keeps my skin itch free and rarely have a flare up. Im coming to the end of my eczema flare, and its helpes keep it at bay for 3 years +. I was spending £££ on emollients over the years. Its a bargain and an essential, even if it is rather boring!
  • Aveeno baby wash mini x2. I liked this, super gentle and i found the smell rathee comforting. I have a few more in stash for when i next have a bad skin day.
  • Aussie hair mask. Picked this up im superdrug for 10p, moons ago! You pop it on and usw the shower cap included and your good to go. I usually leave hair masks on for 30 mins, this is a ten minute one, so good if your short on time. Id RP.
  • Ghost EDT. No idea of the actual nameBlush Im also not good with scent notes. It smells nice though, pretty surw its affordable too.
  • Beauty Bakerie icing mascara. Used ot before liked it. Full black lashes, no fall out and easy to take off.
  • Rodial mascara. Decluttering. Smells off.

One empty gone. Botanics coconut water hair gel. It's ok. Used on top of mousse for curly hair, doesn't leave it crunchy, can be a little difficult to comb through though.

MidnightMeltdown · 13/10/2021 20:24

@Experiment627 🤣🤣🤣

ememem84 · 13/10/2021 21:47

caggie might give the moisturiser a go for dd. Currently using e45 eczema cream on the backs of her legs. But that’s spendy. And probably the same as the Superdrug stuff.

Caggie09 · 14/10/2021 15:01

Did anyone else get the Liberty Beauty drop?

Mines arrived. A few bits ive had before, but ill use them again.

Finished a No7 Line Correcting Booster Serum, essentially a boost of matrixyl to plump up fine lines. Really like it for lines under my eyes but often forget to use it. May repurchase if on offer.

Ponks · 15/10/2021 09:50

Today's empty is a trial size Ultra Violette spf in Supreme Screen. Really like this, very moisturising and makeup is fine on top. Will probably repurchase.

WellTidy · 15/10/2021 14:15

Finished a massive Bed head shampoo (1 litre or maybe 750ml) shampoo today which I bought as a shampoo and conditioner set from TK Maxx. Still have about half the conditioner left, which makes me think that Ds has been using the shampoo too!

Your Liberty beauty drop looks good! I love pretty much anything Kiehls does.

latedecember1963 · 15/10/2021 18:09

The Liberty bag looks lovely, Caggie09. 😍

latedecember1963 · 15/10/2021 18:12

I've been to the Trafford Centre today and I haven't bought any beauty products for myself even though I was getting some Neom and Rituals products for my MiL's and DiL's upcoming birthdays. This thread helped me stay focussed.

clary · 15/10/2021 22:00

Empty of a Lumene night Hydra cream that was in my Jadvent calendar - quite nice but I am delighted to be able to start an Elemis that was in my LF AC last year :)

Also have a Lumene day cream from the calendar that is just really heavy... do I use it up on my hands?

Also going to chuck a mascara from last year's AC that I have been using for about 10 months so wayyyy too long esp for a lens wearer and it is starting to flake. Yay me for chucking! Also I have three more mascaras in my stash and two more coming in the CB AC oooops , better crack on then

SapphireSeptember · 16/10/2021 01:17

I decluttered my Revolution chocolate bar palettes, I'm saying goodbye to 22 that I've never used, and keeping 25. (I collected all of them, but I'm not buying the gift set this year!) I could pare it down even more, but this is a start. Smile

Experiment627 · 16/10/2021 05:59

@latedecember1963 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 well done!

I trued to declutter my primers this week now I have landed on a nice foundation... I went from 6 to 5 and the Ren I got rid of (already reported) was almost empty anyhoo! 🤣🤣🤣

@SapphireSeptember well done on the palette declutter! Do you wear eyeshadow often?
