With thanks to @MrsPear for starting the what item of clothing would you love to find but can't, what beauty item ditto? Makeup/skincare/hair/tools?

For me, an oil free, silicone free but long wearing foundation the colour of an extra milky latte coffee.

Something that would make me look young and beautiful.

MrsPear · 17/08/2021 20:24

@WhoppingBigBackside I think there are a fair few that wishes for that Grin
And you’re welcome @Feedingthebirds1 it would be lush flying Fox shower gel which is no longer made. An item I can never find is something that actually covers my dark circles without heavy coverage.

TTCAbroad · 18/08/2021 08:34

Mineral sunscreen that doesn’t feel like mineral sunscreen. So much wasted money on stuff that sits on the back of the shelf or is given to friends because I can’t stand wearing it.

@Feedingthebirds1 I’m about to recommend a foundation potentially not sold in the UK but it’s amazing if you every come across it... Makeup Forever Watertone. The only foundation I’ve ever worn and I constantly get compliments on it. With oily skin types you do need to powder throughout the day though.

@MrsPear have you tried Tarte creaseless concealer?

Winederlust · 18/08/2021 08:41

A hair product that tames my wavy, frizzy, bushy hair and actually keeps it frizz free when there's a bit of moisture in the air, but isn't greasy or oily.

wouldntmindbeingmrsw · 18/08/2021 08:44

A product to thicken my once thick but now thinning hair.
I know there are plenty of products on the market. But do any of them work🤷‍♀️

@TTCAbroad no I haven’t - I’ll have a look thanks

AlwaysReadyForABlether · 18/08/2021 10:15

@TTCAbroad that foundation is available on feelunique.com - is it really amazing?

Suprima · 18/08/2021 10:17

A product which acts as polyfilla for large pores.

I have tried the benefit blue tube primer which promises to do this, but nope…

I have heard good things about Trinny London blur…

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 18/08/2021 10:17

The perfect my-lips-but-better lipstick.

Oneearringlost · 18/08/2021 11:14

Does anyone know where I can get 2nd skin foundation from max factor in warm almond? It was withdrawn a few years ago and I got some from EBay for a while but no more. It's incredible, lovely coverage, takes 10 years off your face, does not crease into wrinkles, is glow and dewy. Perfect but can't find it anywhere. I would pay three times the price it was, possibly more if I could get it?

Uptoongirl · 18/08/2021 11:19

@ChiefInspectorParker yes! Would be great for adults and children.

I would love an actual non-chip nail varnish...and a facial antiperspirant!

SummaLuvin · 18/08/2021 11:29

A natural looking, lightweight skin tint that works for oily skin - why do cosmetic companies assume that I want 36hour wear, super matte, full coverage just because I'm oily?!?!

LemonCandle · 18/08/2021 11:52

Something that successfully covers (or cures) dark shadows around the eyes. Had it as a teenager and now, in my mid 40s, it's back, back, back!

TTCAbroad · 18/08/2021 12:05

@AlwaysReadyForABlether It’s really been an all-rounder for me. I see they are marketing it as a ‘skin-tint’ these days but it photographs so well and looks natural. It sort of just blurs out any pigmentation to create a lovely base. I wore it for my wedding as did my sister for hers. If you’re looking for a full coverage foundation give their Ultra HD a try which also gets outstanding reviews (but a silicone base)!

An eye make up remover that truly removes make-up without leaving me with puffy eyes and panda smudges in the morning.

Defiantly41 · 18/08/2021 12:41

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar Bobbi Brown used to offer this as a feature - maybe still do? I found sand wash pink recommended by them absolutely perfect.

(Also ignoring some random trend from a few years back saying that a lipstick that matched the colour of your nipples would be the most flattering. I can't imagine the faces if I turned up at a beauty counter, whipping up my T-shirt and said "match this"!)

I like the nivea one, tried lots many more expensive but always come back to it.

Me, too. And I live in the Southern US where the weather varies from humid to more humid to very humid. And as I have aged, my hair is even more coarse, frizzy, and unmanageable.
ursuslemonade · 18/08/2021 12:50

I've been looking for a scissor shaped tweezer with the right grip. Impossible. The grippy part is either blunt or too small.

DubiousGoals · 18/08/2021 13:00

A lipliner the colour of my actual lips - all the 'nude' ones I've tried are far too brown-toned, and the pink ones are either too purple-y or too dark.

JaneJeffer · 18/08/2021 15:00

Have you tried a clear one @DubiousGoals?

JaneJeffer · 18/08/2021 15:02

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar

The perfect my-lips-but-better lipstick.
I had one by Barbara Daly for Tesco. If I'd known it was being discontinued I would have stocked up. It was the perfect colour and texture Sad
Nitgel · 18/08/2021 15:15

A hair toner that matches the ones in hairdresser so it doesnt cost £££ between visits
