With thanks to @MrsPear for starting the what item of clothing would you love to find but can't, what beauty item ditto? Makeup/skincare/hair/tools?

For me, an oil free, silicone free but long wearing foundation the colour of an extra milky latte coffee.

Mathew Williamson perfume, pink and green box. Sadly stopped making it.

Bitconfused75 · 18/08/2021 15:26

@Nitgel you can ask your hairdresser what they use then buy it on ebay or amazon. Most of them will tell you the brand and the colour reference if you ask.

Nitgel · 18/08/2021 15:27

I will. Did think it was a bit cheeky to do so .Grin

A concealer that covers my very very wrinkly under eye area, making it looks fine line free, and doesn't leave the area completely dry and patchy. I have tried them ALL.

Gonnagetgoing · 18/08/2021 15:38

there was a Dior light (can't recall name) foundation which made me look very glowy and luminated - the bastards discontinued it of course...

I can't remember the name either, but agreed it was gorgeous (and before everywhere started chucking silicones into everything too). And it paired brilliantly with a cream blusher from Boots 17, also alas no more.

Not exactly beauty but a pill that gives me 1000 calories a day full of everything I need feel full up & satisfied and to lose and keep weight off 😂😂

So maybe different types of pills
1300 calories if you want to maintain and the rest to lose weight
1200
1000
800

Blisteze lip cream- the one in the metal tube. It has stopped production cos one of the ingredients is now graded as a medicine. 🤬 I literally am stalking boots website for when they get back in production.

@IWantAllTheDogsInTheWorld

An eye make up remover that truly removes make-up without leaving me with puffy eyes and panda smudges in the morning.
Coconut oil. Removes everything and if you remove it with a warm, wet flannel, won't leave you oily (and you'll in fact need to moisturise). The only thing that removes every trace of make up and won't make my skin and eyes sting.

A dupe for the Waitrose baby bottom butter - I make my own but would like to find a dupe.

@JaneJeffer yes I've got the Dior Universal one, which is fab when I'm wearing bright lipstick, but sometimes I'd like to just even out my wonky Cupid's bow and put some lip balm or clear gloss on

Clydesider · 18/08/2021 21:32

I wish I could find a hair mousse that really did give effective and lasting root lift.
I have 2 Schwarzkopf products, Volumaniac and Osis Extreme Hold and they're pretty good, but I keep hoping for that bit more.

I've ordered some of the recommended Watertone by Make-up Forever and can't wait to try it. I've also just tried another product recommended here on MN, F*ck I'm Flawless concealer, for my dark circles, and it is brilliant!

Oldraver · 18/08/2021 21:45

I want a pair of Startrite t-bar sandals but they now only go up to a size 12.5. OH has a blue pair from about 20 years ago so know they did go up to a 6 but no more

Oldraver · 18/08/2021 21:45

Oh they have to be in red

Oldraver · 18/08/2021 21:46

Ah wrong thread Grin

TTCAbroad · 18/08/2021 22:16

@Clydesider please let me know what you think of the Watertone! I hope you love it 🤞🏻

brokenbiscuitsx · 18/08/2021 22:30

A concealer like no17s phwoar paint. It’s discontinued now and I have tried many since including high end and nothing comes close. It was the holy grail, thick, good coverage and lasted all day too.

If anyone has found something similar I’d be interested in hearing any recs m ☺️

A mascara that doesn’t flake or smudge, but gives plenty of volume and length

I think this was a dupe for the Benefit Bo’ing concealer. Used to come in a similar tub, but now is in a stick form.
Gotthetshirt23 · 19/08/2021 08:09

@Suprima I have a red tub - Clarins that works very well.
When I get myself up for a coffee I'll find it an update you!

peaceanddove · 19/08/2021 08:31

Tanning drops that you just add to your bath water. You soak for a few minutes, then towel dry and over the next few hours you develop a lovely, even, all over tan with zero smell and zero stickiness.

Kevyn aucoin skin enhancer. It's the most full coverage thing ever, you can use it neat (like a pin head size) or mix with moisturiser as a foundation

Have you tried a root lift powder? My friend swears by them for more volume and grit!
