And if you do, where do you normally buy your flat back earrings from?

I have this kind of thing and like really small earrings though I'm quite bored with what I have now and looking for some ideas!

I really like it (hate the term though) but one of my helix piercings has gone horrible and full of pus so I’m having to wait for it to heal. Sad

I could spend a fortune on Regalrose @Brogues and Goth my ears up good and proper.

It’s my 11th wedding anniversary this year which I believe to be steel. I’ve translated that to surgical steel and more piercings ahoy!

Coniferhedge · 03/08/2021 15:12

I love this look. I fell in love with this set of ears that I found on Pinterest a while ago. I particularly like the ‘coin slot’, but apparently that’s quite a specialist job and not many piercers do it. The other problem is I’m a big wuss and while I do have a few piercings, I’m not great with pain.

I too am addicted to Maria Tash. I have one jazzy ear - tragus, daith, forward helix, conch, lobe and two tash rooks (though one fell out as the stud was just too small I think).
My other ear I'm just going to have a load of lobe piercings.
It has cost me a small fortune mainly because I like diamonds (pfft) and I really enjoy the Maria Tash experience as explained by a PP.

And now I'm off to name change because I'm aware of how wanky that whole post reads.

Toodle -oo!

I have glossed over this thread a few times today - opened and realised that I've been reading curated as serrated.
Confused

in principle, yes, love seeing multiple piercings on people but taste is very subjective.

i love minimal arrangements: tiny stones, thin chains, small hoops and small studs, like victoria beck

not a fan of massive studs and heavy looking items places all over ears but everyone is different

PerditaNitt · 03/08/2021 15:54

Just had a second set of studs on my lobes this afternoon from Astrid and Miyu in st Christopher’s place. It was pricey compared to when I first had it done at Rackhams in Brum in the early 1990s, but far cheaper than Maria Tash (I was tempted when I went into liberty’s because it does look so cool…). Really excellent service from Astrid and Miyu and a good selection of earrings. I would definitely recommend if you are not on a tight budget.

I picked up some illusion earrings from there for my main lobe piercing to make it look like I have an extra piercing and even though they were pricey, I thought the quality of the item was good. Their range was quite small but well put together with everything complementing each other well.

@NautaOcts

Love a curated ear, a pink lip, and a straight jean.
Are you going to be wearing a heel with that?

Yes I like the look OP

Looks really pretty

I squeezed it last night. The pus flew out! (sorry to those who don’t want to read that). No pictures, sorry.

Gah! Fingers crossed that fills up for you to have another go before it heals.

Sorry, are these euphemisms or something Confused

I think they're mocking the fashion world's obsession with a singular noun. Fashion people don't wear black trousers, they wear ^a black trouser'. They 'rock a red lip' rather than wearing red lipstick. And so on.

BusySittingDown · 03/08/2021 21:37

Genuine lol at curated ear Grin.

I like the look but can't have it myself as I wear hearing aids. Sad

RoseyCake · 04/08/2021 08:37

@BusySittingDown what sort of heating aids do you wear? I wear them too, my piercings don't interfer with the hearing aids😊

BusySittingDown · 04/08/2021 08:52

They're the behind the ear ones with a full mould in the ear so there'd be no space for any piercings, I don't think. I wouldn't want to risk it rubbing.

They're similar to this but not this exact one.

Hopeisallineed · 04/08/2021 09:05

Claire’s accessories? 😂

LordOfTheThings · 04/08/2021 14:18

@BusySittingDown looks almost identical to mine but I only wear one - hence I only have the one 'busy' ear! I know exactly what you mean, lobe piercings don't interfere and you could probably get away with a small flat back helix but anything else would def get in the way wouldn't it.

I've had my ears done like that for decades. I had no idea it had a stupid name and that it's finally become fashionable.

To answer your question OP, I just buy the piercing studs in bulk off ebay and wear them. I found it was cheaper to do that than buy new backs, which I kept losing.

Like these.

BusySittingDown · 04/08/2021 19:25

@LordOfTheThings, my SIL got her tragus pierced and I think it looks so pretty but I wouldn't have the room. I have my lobes pierced but would definitely get more if I could!
