Yeah my husband does have a beard . And a man bun. Worth it though for the shorts

I would like something in between those two lengths, like mid-thigh football training shorts type and in a material with give in them, and pockets are a must. The Richmond ones look like hotpants to me. TBH men's shorts are often better for me as they allow you have actual thigh muscles.

The Richmond ones look like they have no room in the leg at all, even on the models, so they'd fit on the waist and give you nasty sausage legs when you sit down.

I swear I am not usually a Joules kind of person but I like their shorts. They are prob not fashio enough for you though OP.

Umm, personally I prefer slightly longer shorts. The short ones are just too short and tight for me. My lack of sexiness is not a surprise.

I think these would be perfect for me. Linen, nice length, flat front, fit on my actual waist, plenty of room in the leg.

Frumpy is fashionable this year. 🤷‍♀️ These shorts fit with this year’s hideous old woman dresses and shapeless jeans.

Shorts are always difficult to get right. I wouldn't suit or wear very short ones (and I'd put those Richmond ones in that category) but voluminous ones like those first examples would make me look bigger than I am. I need coverage without excess volume. Something between hot pants for 20 year olds and the old lady on a coach trip look. Mind you looking at the weather I can't think about shorts yet. Jumpers and slipper socks more likely to be used at the moment.
