I am a meet-up virgin.. well virtually.. and have certainly never been to a Christmas one before.. I was really impressed to see a thread about what people were wearing to it the other week, only to find people linking to gorilla suits and suchlike!

So could people PLEASE say what kind of thing they're wearing please?

I don't want to get it wrong!

Merci beaucoup!

NappiesGalore · 30/09/2007 08:21

everyone is nervous and expecting to be outshined a every turn, so dont worry about it!

hey, do you think he excelsior will do a cooked brekky in the morning?

StarryStarryNight · 30/09/2007 09:43

NappiesGalore, I am sure they DO a cooked breakfast.

and I wish the birds would not stomp around so loudly out in the garden.

NappiesGalore · 30/09/2007 11:14

eh?
you got a hangover?

NappiesGalore · 30/09/2007 11:17

you know what i used to love in my childfree and feckless days? going out to a nic cosy pub for a sunday lunch (as breakfast) and a couple more hair of the dogs to set the day right on track.
think dp would have a coronary if i told him i wouldnt be back till sunday night or mon morn tho. to be fair, its not like he ever takes that much time 'off' either...

I was quite lucky a few weeks ago when my dh took our two kids camping on his own. I had a saturday night out with a friend, and an empty house to wake up to on sunday morning.

Now, I shall cure my hangover with Cake, and take my boys out to the Wetland Centre, as the weather is lovely. Dh gone to Bulgaria on business, expected home friday night. Grrr.

NappiesGalore · 30/09/2007 11:28

ouch.

my finest hangover tip is that not remotely natural tasting 'orange juice drink' stuff in a carton, the stuff with added vit C. i used to nick a carton from my dads cupboard and take to work with me when i was temping before meeting dp and having dc etc.

StarryStarryNight · 30/09/2007 11:32

I have some tropical juice, will try that...

NappiesGalore · 30/09/2007 11:37

should do it

StarryStarryNight · 30/09/2007 11:39

ok, finally off to the wetland centre...

NappiesGalore · 30/09/2007 11:54

uhh oh, I have never felt this bad for so long before, I am still queesy... The Wetland Centre was a struggle, but better than being at home, spent 4 hours and had dinner there too. It was great. I coped with the birds. Saw some very pretty black swans, lol!

How are you?
