I am a meet-up virgin.. well virtually.. and have certainly never been to a Christmas one before.. I was really impressed to see a thread about what people were wearing to it the other week, only to find people linking to gorilla suits and suchlike!

So could people PLEASE say what kind of thing they're wearing please?

I don't want to get it wrong!

Merci beaucoup!

lol

shiny my image of you is mad woman with bouncy hair

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 28/09/2007 18:26

I am mad it's true. Hair has all the bounce straightened out of it to within inch of its life.

Do you know Naily, yours is the first name I saw on MN when I drifted on 3 years ago!

hunkermunker · 28/09/2007 18:59

I am quiet at meet-ups.

I look a bit shocked at them. Kinda bemused. With a Beatrix Potter mouse badge.

nailpolish · 28/09/2007 19:04

Well my dress is on my profile.

Do I HAVE to make a name badge?

Pinkchampagne · 28/09/2007 19:09

I don't know exactually what I will wear - I can't even make that decision on the night, until I have tried on a few choices - but I would have thought it would be trousers of some variety.

elesbells · 28/09/2007 19:16

i need to loose half my bosyweight before i choose my dress. im quite nervous about meeting you all

norma your dress is lovely

and your dd is gorgeous

elesbells · 28/09/2007 19:17

bodyweight (freudiann slip)

Bluestocking · 28/09/2007 19:20

Seriously, though, do we need to make our own badges or is Tech locked up in a shed with a label printer and a laminator even as we speak? And what time is everyone arriving?

nappynuttynormabutty · 28/09/2007 19:23

Thanks

Can anyone tell me what time it starts? Also does anyone know when the food part is likely to finish (another MNer was asking)?

StarryStarryNight · 28/09/2007 19:32

I think we make our own badges, that way we can slip them on when we arrive.

Mine will say COD

kidding.

Bluestocking · 28/09/2007 20:08

Hey Starry, why don't we all wear Cod badges?

princessmel · 28/09/2007 20:09

How are you all getting home??

If I was going I'd wear a dress

StarryStarryNight · 28/09/2007 20:12

Princessmel, there are mumsnetters who are rooming together at a nearby hotel. (Not me, I am in London, but I wonder if maybe I should, save myself the journey home....)

Blustocking, that is such a great idea!

princessmel · 28/09/2007 20:14

Thanks. My friend lives in Hampstead somewhere. Maybe I could stay with her. Or get her to come too.

nappynuttynormabutty · 28/09/2007 20:15

Put this on the other thread but KHIN & I are staying here in case anyone wants to arrange a room where they know other people will be going back to iyswim.

nailpolish · 28/09/2007 20:21

mel, some of us are coming on an aeroplane from scotland!
weare staying at a kings cross travelodge (royal scot one)

princessmel · 28/09/2007 20:23

Yes I know that. Its great people can do it. Are they coming with someone or totally alone? I just worry about trains and going anywhere at night alone. Actually I'd be worried going into london in the day alone.

nailpolish · 28/09/2007 20:25

we are comign together
like you i wouldnt want to come alone
you could find out f anyone is coming from near your home town and catch the train or wahtever together
or bring your hampstead mate along!

codswallop · 28/09/2007 20:47

am SO SO SO tempted to come as nonner

slag me off all night then ta da

princessmel · 28/09/2007 20:48

CSWS has said I can jump on the train she's on and meet her. I've met her before.

I will maybe ask my hampstead friend too. Or not.
