They're really light and a sort of yellowy colour. The listing stated it was brown henna.
Is there another that's darker that I can use?

You did what? Confused

MuthaClucker · 24/05/2020 11:31

That’s a bit 2016 innit?

Helpusout · 24/05/2020 11:33

Are you 16?

HasaDigaEebowai · 24/05/2020 11:35

you're supposed to do it with a flicked mascara brush and wet eyeshadow according to glow up.

Pollyputthepizzaon · 24/05/2020 11:35

Grin fake freckles!!!?

Russell19 · 24/05/2020 11:36

You painted on yellow freckles?

Gammeldragz · 24/05/2020 11:37

Um, you did what now? Shock

CoachBombay · 24/05/2020 11:39

You can use a darker henna/leave it on longer.

If this goes wrong though it's on your face! Everyone is going to see 😳

MaggyMaysBeenTakenAway · 24/05/2020 11:42

I've already done it and they look super cute I'd just like some darker ones too

Please don't be rude

I know most MNers are mainstream but there are some of us that are goth/alternative and are very happy with our aesthetic.

Just because its not something you would do doesn't mean it's OK to make fun, that's bullying, isn't that what we teach our children NOT to do?

Come on ladies.

I don't go onto style and beauty threads about clothes I consider boring and say so, I respect that people like different things, different looks and styles.

Be kind :)

Maggy I applaud you, I could never do it!

Try a few different brown's till you get the one you want.

MaggyMaysBeenTakenAway · 24/05/2020 11:44

The freckles aren't yellow, the henna is! 😂They are brown. But I'd like a darker brown.

OP posts:
MaggyMaysBeenTakenAway · 24/05/2020 11:45

Thankyou coach.

I was hoping maybe someone with experience of henna could point me in the direction of a dark one.

I'd never purchased it before.

OP posts:
VettiyaIruken · 24/05/2020 11:46

Have you tried adding another layer or two of the henna and seeing if that darkens them?

SabrinaTheTeenageBitch · 24/05/2020 11:46

Why?! I used to henna my hair and its a nightmare to get off skin. Won't it fade orange?

Freckles aren’t a gothic thing Confused I’ve never heard of goths or emos or whatever putting on fake freckles.

I don’t have any advice on what to do about the ones on your face but in future you could try fake tan on a mascara wand and flick it onto the face. Or as a PP use wet eyeshadow to make a paste and flick it.

I don’t think it’s very 2016, it’s all over social media at the minute trying to get fake freckles!

otterbaby · 24/05/2020 11:48

Can you just leave it on longer and they'll get darker?

terriblyangryattimes · 24/05/2020 11:48

Fake tan and a stipling/foundation brush should work well!

MaggyMaysBeenTakenAway · 24/05/2020 11:50

Well I'm full goth and I have. There aren't rules to being alternative. That's the point isn't it? :)

They look really good imo.

If they fade funny then I'm not going out anywhere anyways and there's a magic thing called concealer if I do (I won't, I have agoraphobia and haven't been out in months)

It makes me happy 😊

Have to say I feel really silly posting this now. Felt relaly good about it 30 mins ago.
I forgot the powers of mumsnet aren't always positive!
D'oh.

I actually saw a video on Instagram where they’d used fake tan to do this (dipped a tiny brush into fake tan and left it on for hours) it came out quite dark brown. May be worth a try?!

Lamentations · 24/05/2020 11:54

OP down let other people's comments make you doubt yourself! MN is always full of opinions, very hard to just get straightforward advice.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 24/05/2020 11:58

No advice for you, but wanted to say there's nothing wrong with fake freckles. I don't see why that gets criticised when women are always putting fake stuff on their faces - it's no different to putting mascara or false eyelashes done or filling in eyebrows or getting gel nails.

kleew1 · 24/05/2020 11:58

I have no idea how to help you with this but just wanted to say that you are absolutely correct in that you can do as you please... Also if you can't say anything kind then don't say anything at all? Imagine all the judgy posts were helpful. That would be good wouldn't it OP.

MuthaClucker · 24/05/2020 11:59

I don’t think it’s very 2016, it’s all over social media at the minute trying to get fake freckles!

Really Shock honestly didn’t know anyone was still doing it.

OP if you’re happy with the placement, try the fake tan thing
