I ahev just moved and met the only neighbour i think who isn't about 100!She is about 35 boden-y with kids and seemsnice but we were chatting about annie lennox as she had a paper with her picture on it and she was saying how it is harder for women who are attractive to accept aging and she was dreading it as she had spent her life getting what she wanted because of her looks!I was speechless for once and said little back but i would never say that although I am not what I was at 42 I was ok in my youth but it just shocked me So come on do you think you're gorge and has it helped or hindered you?

Well I am sure you must be right, if I ever stopped to think about it

harleyd · 16/09/2007 23:53

im gorgeous me
and if i wasnt so modest id be perfect

LongDeadMotherofHarryP · 17/09/2007 00:24

I just don't care what other people think I look like, good, bad, ugly or whatever - BUT I would mind if they saw me and thought I was pretty as their first impression. I'd prefer to be assessed slowly.

Flamesparrow · 17/09/2007 07:46

I cry over look good naked too I sit there thinking "I want you to make meeeeeeeeee feel like that" (DH would be mortified if I went on it)

InMyHumbleOpinion · 17/09/2007 08:09

The thing is, if you are constantly being told you are ugly and unattractive, you need to change the people you're spending time with, then maybe look to yourself. Everyone is attractive to someone.

Funnily enough although the assests of my youth have been ravaged by having babies (pert bottom and norks, slim frame), I feel more confident in my looks now.

Just wished I'd appreciated what I had at the time when I was all young and unravaged.

Feel ok at the moment and look ok when I'm dressed as am breastfeeding slim. Different story when I'm nekkid though as it's all stretch marks and weird ripples and overhangs and the like.

Face nothing special and starting to show wear and tear especially from 15 months of bad sleep with DD2.

Went to a wedding recently and made a bit of an effort. People kept saying to me in really surprised voices 'gosh you look nice'.
Methinks I need to make more of an effort on a day to day basis as with the passage of time just chucking on a pair of jeans and a little top just doesn't cut it anymore.

InMyHumbleOpinion · 17/09/2007 08:24

People keep asking me if I have lost weight - they have been asking me for the past 3 years. I haven't at all! Not a pound, have probably gained, but hey ho!

ggglimpopo · 17/09/2007 08:37

Cammelia - make up and good lighting!

mosschops30 · 17/09/2007 08:52

why not botox at 32???

Research suggests that the earlier you start the better, the muscle thins out and you need to have it less often.
There is no point in having botox when you get to 50 because its not strong enough to fill in the lines and your skin is not strong enough to hold it resulting in facial droop.

I love it I dont care what anyone says

ggglimpopo · 17/09/2007 08:53

Doesnt it hurt like shit mosschops?

mosschops30 · 17/09/2007 08:55

Not at all, and is over in a minute. Its a tiny little needle (like an insulin syringe).

I have a GP do mine (not my GP obviously) I wouldnt take any risks with some skinny 17 year old beauty trainee jabbing needles in my forehead
