CPV's turn to wear mustard now - it's quite similar to the dress Meghan wore when she was here.

Thanks for new thread Queen! If you lot spoke Swedish I’d direct you to a programme on Swedish telly where the royal women talk about the royal jewellery incl tiaras. Haven’t watched it myself because am not that interested but I think it’d interest a fair few of youse. If you understood it ...

banivani · 12/04/2020 22:21

Oh and please notice that CPV is wearing Rodebjer! Not a surprise. Grin it looks good though.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/04/2020 22:23

I don't know anything about Rodebjer but she certainly loves it!

Thanks for the new thread.

AdaColeman you are right about Princess Margaret's 21st birthday portrait - that is a proper 'princess dress'. And a contrast to the Queen's 21sr.

I’m not a fan of ‘Princess my dresses.

I just can’t get past loo roll.

(thanks for the new thread @QueenOfTheAndals)

AppleKatie · 12/04/2020 22:36

Sorry rogue ‘my’. I trust you get the gist.

mathanxiety · 12/04/2020 22:54

Thanks for the new thread!
Happy Easter to all celebrating.

HollowTalk · 12/04/2020 23:01

The difference in the dresses is due to the date. The Queen was 21 in 1945 and Margaret was 21 in 1951.

HollowTalk · 12/04/2020 23:01

It would've been very inappropriate for the Queen to be dressing like that in 1945.

itswinetime · 12/04/2020 23:06

Checking in so I don't loose everyone thank fir the new thread Queen

Thank you QueenoftheAndals

StartupRepair · 13/04/2020 02:27

Checking in. Wonder which royal will put their head over the parapet of isolation next?

AngelaScandal · 13/04/2020 05:53

Thank you @QueenOfTheAndals

When’s the Bea wedding supposed to be? Next month?

Wetdogloveshubert · 13/04/2020 06:45

Checking in. Thanks for the new thread, @QueenOfTheAndals. I've got the dreaded C word and with Mumsnet becoming a hive of threads about pretty much that, this place is even more of a haven than normal.

I'm hoping we continue to get instagram videos, though the Anmer images are of the backs of doors. Come on, give us an interior view! This latest of William is dull, but you can see they're topping up the tans in Norfolk!

Feel better soon @Wetdogloveshubert 🐣

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/04/2020 07:42

paradyning · 13/04/2020 08:26

CPV wears that dress better than the model!
Hope you feel better soon @Wetdogloveshubert

MotherofPearl · 13/04/2020 08:46

Thanks for the new thread Queen. I reckon the last one was our longest-lasting.

I don't like mustard coloured clothes at all - not on Kate and not on CPV.

Hope you feel better soon @Wetdogloveshubert.

AdaColeman · 13/04/2020 08:57

@RomaineCalm Thanks for posting the Cecil Beaton photograph. Although it’s often seen cropped like that, the original version shows Margaret sitting below a vast opulent tapestry of pinks and golds, contrasting with her cream dress.
The dress, with its voluminous gathered skirt, nipped in waist and embroidered embellishments encapsulated Dior’s New Look.

LadyEloise · 13/04/2020 10:29

@Wetdogloveshubert
Get better soon. Thanks
Do you know how you caught it ?
DH is immunocompromised so I am very anxious about it.

Wetdogloveshubert · 13/04/2020 10:51

Ask, and you shall receive Grin

I've no idea, sorry @LadyEloise, and I doubt you'll get much comfort from mumsnet right now. I made the mistake of reading a matter-of-fact thread about it this morning which made me feel anxious!

Sorry, you need to click on the above to get a glimpse of what I think is a fireplace? Small entertainment for me today.

My inner MIL wants to run a finger on that mantelpiece and tut. Blush
