Will we see any royals out and about anytime soon?

So we are saying no extensions once and for all??

That makes sense to me because I think it's unlikely anyone photographed that much would have pictures where they show! Carole and pipa have good hair to so hopefully the Middleton genes can work on George and Louis save them from the Windsor hair genes!

Camilia looking relaxed opening the nightingale Manchester? They seem to be taking it in turns so possibly Kate for the next one?

Good for Camilla.

I liked taking a peek at her books. I see she must be a fan of Susan Hill. I'm reading her latest right now.

thisenglishlife · 17/04/2020 18:32

Hair before, thicker in the royal family and the Zoom call (wouldn't look as good and full if straight).

I don't think James, Carol and Pippa have good hair. Michael does though and George seems to favour/resemble him the most. Kate's hair has definitely improved since she's been in the Royal family.

It could be down to great products, care and blow dries/stylists/cuts and perhaps the occasional hair piece, clip in, nets, etc. It was definitely thinner looking in the past, less body.

She did a good job on her hair in the Zoom call, but remember it will look thicker as it shorter and curled/blow dried. Both of which make the hair look thicker and with more volume/lift/body.

Whatever Kate's secret is, her hair looks good to great most of the time.

Camilla also appears to be a Harry Potter fan!

When I do my hair myself, in order to make it look decent, I have to use more straighteners and smoothing products and it definitely doesn't look as thick and heavy bodied as when I come back from the hairdresser!! I had my hair done just before lock down (go me!) and I have been having it shorter recently so it was interesting how post professional hair dry it still looked so much thicker and just more than when I do it at home! At home, my focus is on smoothing it out and stopping it from being frizzy. But the hairdresser can do that while still maintaining volume.

am not irritated at all by how many positive comments i get every time I come home from the hairdresser

MotherofPearl · 17/04/2020 18:51

Yes I also noticed Camilla's books!

I have said this before, but I wonder if it's just that Kate's hair has changed since her pregnancies? Mine is certainly very different now that I'm older and have had 3 DC. My hair used to be finer and thinner, but is now much thicker, and sadly in my case, coarser. Hair does change over time.

BlingLoving · 17/04/2020 18:51

As a side note, DD has the most amazing curly hair. Moderately thick but very very plentiful. I can't wait to see how that turns out once she allows a hairdresser to properly get her hands on it! Grin As it is, her six monthly trims are a highlight and DD loves showing off her fabulous style, even though it doesn't get dried professionally at all!!

BlingLoving · 17/04/2020 18:52

God, I can't help it. I love Camilla. I just get the sense that she's the most fun and nice of all of them. I suspect she's the best granny!

feesh · 17/04/2020 18:57

When did Kate’s hair get shorter? Is it since lockdown? I’m wondering if she has someone on staff who is canny with the scissors!

thisenglishlife · 17/04/2020 18:57

I've never had frizzy hair, as it's naturally straight, smooth and shiny.

Unfortunately, it's a pain to curl. I find that tying it in a bun for a few hours gives me lovely waves. It's definitely thicker looker with the waves and the light hits it from more angles, leaving it looking glossier.

Sometime between Bradford in January and Ireland in March @feesh

Camilla is a star. I reckon she’s got a great sense of humour.

paradyning · 17/04/2020 19:08

I love Camilla. I've said it before but she's patron of Helen and Douglas House and supports them doing amazing things. Throws a party for the children once a year

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/04/2020 19:09

I really dislike that green coat and the headband, the whole look is so twee!

I admire Sofia for getting stuck in and volunteering at a hospital. Good on her!

AngelaScandal · 17/04/2020 22:18

My primary school uniform had a coat and hairband combo much like that one.

thisenglishlife · 17/04/2020 22:24

I bet you looked adorable!

Is it just me, or did Kate look rather sad or upset (when not speaking) in the latest video? (More evident in the video, than the stills).

Mawbags · 17/04/2020 22:39

I thought the same, thought she looked like she was struggling to hold it together. I hope her parents are alright and not suffering from corona.

However.... them banging on about home school.... hmmm I think not with your 400 nannies!!

theschoolonthehill · 17/04/2020 22:43

There is a HUGE difference between photos of Kate with her ‘bouncy’ hair that did have extensions and her normal hair (pre wedding and now). Unless her hairdressing team were able to perform magic, she had extensions.

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/04/2020 23:32

Yes @Mawbags, a bit different from those of us who have to try to home school while doing a full time job from home without any domestic staff!

I found it interesting to look at one while the other one was talking. Kate looked quite emotional while William was talking, but then quite animated when she was talking. William seemed to have much the same expression throughout.

I would think that Kate is doing a lot of childcare/homeschooling. That would have been her experience when growing up, so probably would follow how her parents raised her and her siblings.

I do think she looked tired. Maybe, as a pp suggested, she is worried about her parents. From a pap photo, it looked as though her father had had a pacemaker fitted, so she would have concerns about his health. Also there's a good probability that her parents' business will go under.

For those of u interested in Camilla’s books she shared a reading list on Instagram the other week:

Diana's best jewellery moments. Some beautiful pieces there, that emerald choker/headband is one of my favourites.

Maxima is continuing to fly the solo (and colourful!) flag for royal style.
