Have we posted this compilation film of royalty of Europe wishing Queen Margrethe a happy birthday? Very cute.

Svensk Damtidning also have a collection of QM:s gala dresses
www.svenskdam.se/kungligt/margrethes-maffiga-aftonklanningar-se-hennes-stil/ I'd post a favourite but so many of them are amazing!

Princess Sofia is volunteering at a private hospital - she'll be cleaning and disinfecting etc. www.svenskdam.se/kungligt/nya-bilderna-visar-sofia-stralar-pa-nya-sjukhusjobbet/

But when not volunteering she's been out with hubz and the kidz in sunny Stockholm www.svenskdam.se/kungligt/carl-philips-och-sofias-utflykt-med-alexander-och-gabriel/ - her coat is nice. That couple and their children SCREAM Stockholmers With Money. Scream it.

Harry and Meghan have donated over £90,000 to Feeding Britain via money they have recently received (the money was generated from their wedding broadcast). It will go toward feeding hungry children during the coronavirus pandemic.

Feeding Britain's programmes run across the UK and provide families in need with hot meals and food packages. The funds have been called a “godsend” by the organisation’s national director, Andrew Forsey, and come from excess profits from the BBC’s royal wedding broadcast.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, who presided over the Sussexes’ May 2018 marriage, is President of Feeding Britain. Harry and Meghan told him they wanted the money to be donated to the organisation during a phone call held around the time schools across the UK were closing their doors to most children.

I don't know if it's technically them donating as isn't it the BBC's money? But it's definitely a charity they've visited in the past so it's good that the profits are going to a good cause.

Queen Margrethe fashion retrospective. Boy does she love her cigarettes!

That’s a super slideshow Queen. You one-upped me alright.

justasking111 · 16/04/2020 20:42

I think I prefer Tom Hardy reading me bedtime stories Grin

justasking111 · 16/04/2020 20:42

William has a good tan, do they have a tennis court in Norfolk?

QueenOfTheAndals · 16/04/2020 20:45

Sorry @banivani I missed your earlier post! Great video of the various royals wishing Queen M. I think the king of Sweden is her first cousin? Felipe's accent always comes as a surprise to me as it's such a mishmash. He sounds vaguely South African at times!

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 16/04/2020 21:03

I would say they do @justasking111, Kate is a big tennis fan.

AppleKatie · 16/04/2020 21:18

I think I’ve read something somewhere about tennis lessons for the kids at Amner.

They reportedly like it there because of the grounds to roam in. Sounds idyllic.

banivani · 16/04/2020 21:29

Don't worry @QueenOfTheAndals I wasn't fishing, it was an amusing coincidence that's all! I do forget to look at GFY these days but if they're going to be posting more Scandinavian European royals I might Grin

thisenglishlife · 16/04/2020 21:39

I remember Kate saying that she hates playing tennis against William as he is too good, largely because he's left handed.

StartupRepair · 16/04/2020 22:02

I loved that video for Margrethe. Love how they all call her Aunt Daisy and the Swedish children were holding Danish flags.

MotherofPearl · 16/04/2020 22:17

Loved the GFY slideshow. The captions are always Grin

BlingLoving · 17/04/2020 09:39

Anyone seen the BBC interview with William and Kate? I haven't watched it but saw some stills - Kate definitely does not have her hairdresser with her! I am more convinced than ever that we have very similar hair and that if I let mine get as long, and died it a bit darker than normal, we'd be twins! Grin.

Also good to see Sophie out at a food packing engagement. And I've seen the shots of Harry and Meghan delivering food just wearing "normal" clothes. Nice to see.

Love the caring assistant outfits! haha.

paradyning · 17/04/2020 11:03

I really liked her hair today

myrtleWilson · 17/04/2020 11:35

not a style and beauty comment but actually laughed in the video as they're asked about homeschooling and Kate says "don't tell the children but we've kept it going through the holiday" Grin not sure my 17yr old falls for that trick anymore!

itswinetime · 17/04/2020 12:54

Link to a clip of the video for anyone who hasn't seen it

I agree no hair dresser self isolating with Kate does this finally answer the extensions question though as surely if she had them as well hidden as people think they would have needed some attention by now?? That said I have no experience with extensions so I maybe completely wrong.

Also he makeup looks much better when she does it herself lighter and it makes her look more youthful if think 🤷🏻‍♀️

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/04/2020 13:17

I don't think she has extensions but she might use clip-in pieces for big events or for her more complicated updos. I doubt she'd wear them everyday!

OP posts:
BlingLoving · 17/04/2020 13:35

I've never thought she has extensions but get shouted down every time I say that. Like Queen, I could see some kind of clip on or one of those tubes/net things that bulk up the updo and which the hair is wrapped around, being used for big events but her hair is thick, plentiful and very long so it may not even be necessary.

SenecaFallsRedux · 17/04/2020 14:34

I don't think she has extensions. Her hair looks very thick and healthy in that video and it also looks DIY, but in a good way. Has she maybe trimmed it herself?

itswinetime · 17/04/2020 15:40

I’m rubbish at spotting things like extensions so I’m useless, I agree some of her up doos probably have some help but as you say those netted tube things can do that when used by a professional a skill I would love to have

Pupsiecola · 17/04/2020 15:57

I've never thought she has extensions but get shouted down every time I say that.
