Lipstick Challenge January 2020.

Hello lipstick junkies and a very Happy New Year to you all! (And a new decade!)

So, the point of this 'challenge' for any newbies is to go through your lipstick stash and wear a different colour everyday! Pictures are useful (although not mandatory) although colour descriptions are good too! Definitely post brand and shade name/number please!

(So many exclamation marks, can you tell I'm excited? I love this, it's something fun during a dreary month.)

I will begin, I'm wearing L'Oreal matte lipstick in 'Stay the night'. I think it was a Boots exclusive or freebie or something (I got it on eBay.) It's a purple-y wine shade and very comfortable to wear.

I was going to get CTPT (although am
on a spending ban!) are we saying Mehr instead then?

I can swatch Mehr if it's helpful Greyhound, but I don't have CTPT. I'd be interested to know if they're really similar.

Hi again. My lipstick today is Chanel rouge coco Edith no 424. Lovely colour. I haven't worn it for ages. I don't think it lasts very well, but the gloss on it is great.

I'm wearing Marc Jacobs No Angel today. I forgot how much I like this, it's rare I can wear a brown lipstick but this one's lovely. Really nice formula too.

I don't think Mehr is close enough to be a dupe for Pillow Talk.

Today, I'm wearing Pat McGrath Executive Realness, a really lovely medium dark muted plum (more blue toned than berry).
It is a great lipstick, very pigmented, matte and comfortable to wear.

@TankGirl97 Thank you. It's due to this thread that I've looked out my old lipsticks and stopped using just the three that I normally do.

Sorry LE is just online. £26 too so pretty steep.
Today is Revlon colourburst matte balm in Shameless. A goodie but I’d never normally go this dark! Not as shiny in real life!

Riskit Mehr is nothing like Pillow Talk in colour - totally different but that’s not what I meant. my post again!

Greyhound pat and Mehr are very different. Both great, versatile classics in the making but one is not a substitute for the other.

PT is more of a light nude/caramel-pink, Mehr is a medium toned dusky, plummy mauve-red. But even that doesn’t quite describe it!

I have been AWOL over the weekend but didn’t wear anything exciting.

Today is Estée Lauder Persuasive. A brown red. I used to avoid brown reds because I don’t suit orange reds and thought they were part of the same family but I have a couple now and they are very wearable and very neutral.

Been having a look - not sure on Mehr 🤔

MAC Dare You today which is meant to be the one Phoebe Waller-Bridge wore in Fleabag.

I got these for Christmas and have been wearing them in turn. They are teeny tiny, but fab colours

I'm wearing Trish McEvoy Pink Nude today.
It's a muted medium pink, creamy finish lipstick and it tastes of mint, which is nice.

I love lipstick on other people but gave never got used to seeing myself with it on. But in a bud to wear more I went and bought these 4 from poundland and actually really like them!
What do you experts think?

Coffee they all look really wearable, the two in the right look like good colours for you.

I started off with a chubby sticks gift set that had about six colour in it, made me try colours I would never have bought and now I will give most things a try.

Here's today's lipstick. Another Benefit that I rediscovered in my drawer - Racy Raspberry which is lipstick and lip liner in one. I really like the colour; it's definitely the kind of shade I wear a lot of, but after a while the lip liner wears away quicker than the lipstick and it's a bit of a palaver to get them 'synchronised'.

I like the Benefit Racy Raspberry- right up my street.

I am wearing Estée Lauder rebellious rose, this is their best seller and they now do it in 3 finishes. I plan to buy the matte on this year.

Lucked I'm not surprised that's a best seller, its lovely!
