Lipstick Challenge January 2020.

Hello lipstick junkies and a very Happy New Year to you all! (And a new decade!)

So, the point of this 'challenge' for any newbies is to go through your lipstick stash and wear a different colour everyday! Pictures are useful (although not mandatory) although colour descriptions are good too! Definitely post brand and shade name/number please!

(So many exclamation marks, can you tell I'm excited? I love this, it's something fun during a dreary month.)

I will begin, I'm wearing L'Oreal matte lipstick in 'Stay the night'. I think it was a Boots exclusive or freebie or something (I got it on eBay.) It's a purple-y wine shade and very comfortable to wear.

I don’t haveTHAT many! Lotsa lip balms, though.

I think it might stand for gift with purchase.

I lurk on the thread as I love seeing the pictures of different shades but rarely wear lipstick and just chucked out two Revlon lip butters as I think I’m sensitive to one of the ingredients - they made my lips feel a bit itchy/prickly.

I’d love to find a dupe of the Revlon raspberry pie shade from a different brand as the colour was lovely. I tend to feel more comfortable in lip stain/tint or a coloured lip balm. I can’t bear lipglosses or anything too sticky.

Today is LE Velvet Beauty. Gorgeous and trying to avoid buying more but they’re sooooo good!

I'm wearing Marc Jacobs Infamous. I got a gift set of them in the sale a couple years ago and really haven't used them much. I have no idea why as I've realised loads are lovely!

As to how many lipsticks I have, probably 30 full size. I like buying mini gift sets so maybe another 20 minis (I never use lipstick up so no real need for full tubes, plus this way I experiment with colours too).

I really mean to count mine ive probably hit over 100 😆 I’ve been collecting for years though and some should probably on the bin but are all still great .

Velvet beauty looks great on you pinkiepie I have that one too it’s my fave shade .

I've used this one a lot, but this is another Tilbury lipstick that just isn't fantastic.

Lisa Eldridge lipsticks are best ever Tank. I’m looking at buying even more!

@Honeybee85 MAC Mehr is my all time favourite lipstick. It was the CT Pillow Talk before CT Pillow Talk existed. By which I mean it’s a timeless, versatile colour that goes anywhere, for any time of day, any season and goes with everything.

It’s classy and understated but definitely not nude. It’s neither pink nor red, lavender nor brown. It’s a perfect blend of all four. I adore it. I have three on the go so I’m never without one to hand.

After all the Mac Mehr love on this thread I decided to wear it today. Absolutely my favourite everyday lipstick. It's not drying at all (I do love a matte lipstick though). It's slightly bolder than a nude/neutral pink so feels like I'm making a bit of an effort.

Without wanting to derail the thread, does anyone have clever ways to store lipsticks so you can see everything clearly? I have a couple stands which take 9 each and the rest just piled in a plastic box.

Quite a nice "boring" colour, and pretty good quality.

Tankgirl I just store them in a vanity case in there brands with the bottoms up so you can see the shade, all the chubby pencil ones are in a glass.

Late to this thread as only discovered it yesterday but I’m loving all the lipsticks.

Today I wore Rimmel Eastend Snob lip liner and Rimmel oh my gloss in My Eternity. It’s my usual work look as it’s natural but enough of a difference to tell I’m wearing it.

Mehr is my favourite too, lovely pop of colour without being too bold.

Today was Mac Syrup, which is kind of a sheer plum colour (on me, seems more pink on others). Nice and wearable but staying power isn't great.

Peppermint pop by Clinique today. So many this colour but looks glossier in real life!

In an effort to actually be able to see what I own, this evening i've crochet some little lipstick pots. Hopefully they will save me from the continual rifling through a messy box of lipsticks to figure out what to wear!

Which shops sell Lisa Eldridge lipstick please - I need to try some on!
