Hi All,
Apologies if there is another thread about this, but I couldn't find it. So I thought I would start one.
Happy to get it deleted if there is one already, if not - happy unboxing, let's hear what you think :)

@LEELULUMPKIN oh give it a rest.

It's over 200 quid and you sound like over privileged brats. Sorry but you do

mrscampbellblackagain · 06/12/2019 19:39

I am totally aware that complaining about some of the items smacks of my diamond shoes are too tight but hey no one is forcing anyone to read this thread.

I am pretty sure we are still allowed to express both positive and negative opinions on here Smile

BloodyCats · 06/12/2019 19:42

Shall we leave the trolls to it and start fresh tomorrow? Looking forward to seeing what we get Smile

LEELULUMPKIN · 06/12/2019 19:48

Wise words Bloodycats. Lets just hope we are pleased with what we get or else we are in trouble! :)

I'm not a troll Grin Just pointing out the obvious. You people like whinging about luxury items. It's all a bit wah wah wah

KeithPartridge · 06/12/2019 20:06

I somehow don't think over privileged brats would be complaining about the price. That is such utter rubbish. It's because we ARE NOT brats that we give a full shit about the price.

Oh. My. Days.

BloodyCats · 06/12/2019 20:09

I think it will be something like a hand cream tomorrow.

imp2007 · 06/12/2019 20:39

Well I'm actually really impressed with today's have had a full on day working on the house shifting loads of heavy stuff and still smelling good!! Happy 😊

Smelly50 · 06/12/2019 20:48

OkBoom3r , i don't have a calendar, however I check every day to see the bounty in the windows , I love the reviews on products and don't read complaints only good honest feedback from a variety of folk.

LEELULUMPKIN · 06/12/2019 20:55

I am away from v.early in the morning until Wednesday evening so won't be reviewing or posting but I hope you all get the pleasure of opening whether you like the product or not.

Enjoy!

@KeithPartridge is correct. The 2018 Liberty AC was popular. The 2017 was overrun with cleansers and lots of posters bailed out of the thread due to negative feedback. I can see both sides.

2017 featured the following cleansing products ...

  • Omorovicza moor cream
  • Skin Laundry cream cleanser
  • Eve Lom cleanser
  • Votary apricot cleansing oil
  • Dermalogica daily superfolient

I am still using the Votary oil, you don’t need much and I use it daily for 2 years. It’s an amazing product. Also repurchased the Dermalogica. The Omorovicza and Skin Laundry cleansers were ok.

I do think that’s overkill on cleansers and I could see why some people were disappointed. You could argue that the superfolient is more of an active than cleanser, but I think it falls under cleanser because it can be used to remove make up and dirt.

I had a VERY clean face throughout 2018 Grin

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 06/12/2019 21:00

I did at one point sound like Brenda from Bristol, when I exclaimed upon opening Day 15 and seeing a cleanser “you’re joking.... not ANOTHER one!!”

Yes, first world problems I know.

KeithPartridge · 06/12/2019 21:01

Thanks BlueSky....you said it exactly as I remember! 😇

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 06/12/2019 21:07

FWIW the Elle calendar is far superior to the Liberty calendar this year. Just my opinion of course but each day is brilliant. I’ve not used them as advent calendars this year. Just bought them for product value. I am able to use most of the things I get from beauty - or pass onto my very appreciative mum if I don’t like something.

LizzieMacQueen · 06/12/2019 21:12

First year for me and I've been happy so far. I'll give away the stuff I won't use, sisters, mum and daughter. Regardless of the contents there's no denying that it's a beautiful looking item.

I plan on re-using the calendar for the rest of the family next year.

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 06/12/2019 21:41

@LizzieMacQueen yes! The calendar is absolutely beautiful and I will treasure it for my children to use. I do actually really like this years Liberty AC and there are a few products that are bloody brilliant. It’s just that the Elle one is so amazing- it’s the best beauty collection I’ve ever had. But it’s all subjective.

Pomegranatepompom · 06/12/2019 21:47

I'm really hoping someone will want the deodorant on the swap thread (which I hope we will have !) Smile

Chickydoo · 06/12/2019 22:05

@LEELULUMPKIN I am loving the thread. So thank you for starting it.
Have some rubbish stuff going on at the moment & opening that little drawer is a highlight in my day.
As with all products some will suit & some won't. I Love the face oil, it's gorgeous. The eye cream is already working wonders on my wrinkles.
I'm not a fan of the perfume, but that's just me. Haven't tried the deodorant, am a bit nervous it won't work on me, but I am going to give it a go tomorrow.
I think so far so good!

HelloIsitXmasTreeYoureLookingF · 06/12/2019 22:56

I think it was in chat but there was a poster saying cards had been muddled and some items missing.

It must be a rare occurance but might be worth asking someone to have a check for you.

I couldn't afford it this year but thought it looked really good so will be following :)

LEELULUMPKIN · 06/12/2019 22:58

Pomegranatepompom - There is a thread up and running for swaps. Here is the link. Happy Swapping!

Today's is just the kind of thing I need to discover. Feels lovely on.

LizziesTwin · 07/12/2019 06:30

Do you mean the deodorant? I’m tempted to try it now, I’m going on a Santa Run in aid of Shelter.

Chickydoo · 07/12/2019 07:28

Loving this mornings moisturiser. A winner.

BloodyCats · 07/12/2019 08:34
