Hi All,
Apologies if there is another thread about this, but I couldn't find it. So I thought I would start one.
Happy to get it deleted if there is one already, if not - happy unboxing, let's hear what you think :)

Following- first Liberty Advent Calendar for me - was my birthday present. I love LOVE the smell of the shampoo today

MabelMoo23 · 01/12/2019 18:39

I'm joining in!!! My Mum bought me the Liberty advent calendar and it's so gorgeous.

I confess I've already used mine as I went away for work last week and they were perfect size for travel. The smell was beautiful but not quite moisturising enough for my dry hair. So whilst I'd use it, I probably wouldn't buy full size of it

Sammi38 · 01/12/2019 18:44

Opened mine this evening, they smell lovely and I’ve already used them. Never used aveda before.

imp2007 · 01/12/2019 18:48

Place marking happy with day one - smells gorgeous!

HappyInL0nd0n · 01/12/2019 19:14

Hi everyone. Smile Looking forward to this year's thread. A small plea for no spoilers/assuming people know what's in the calendar further down the month. I absolutely love the surprise and resolutely don't look before I buy.

Good start re. shampoo & conditioner. Nice surprise to get two products on day 1.

queenofkale · 01/12/2019 19:25

I'm joining in to. This is my first liberty- had the look fantastic one last year.

Loved today's - can't wait to use it smells divine.

BloodyCats · 01/12/2019 19:43

I would prefer no future spoilers too. I don’t mind on the day ones, I just have to remember not to MN before opening!

LEELULUMPKIN · 01/12/2019 19:59

Just let DH have first "go" of today's and his hair (what there is of it) smells lovely!

Very pleased with today's as I've just started this kind of thing with The Ordinary. This is $64 for 50ml so may be best if I don't love it when I try it!

BloodyCats · 02/12/2019 07:14

I’ve not heard of this before but the reviews look good. £22 for 8ml though!

Looking forward to trying this out later, I love this sort of stuff.

Anyone else desperately trying to use up all their other skin care? I’ve got a few pots I’m over halfway through that need using up before my shelf gets too full.

I love today's Orchid facial oil. It smells gorgeous. I have already used a couple of drops. Shame it is so expensive as I would be more generous with it.

Doubleraspberry · 02/12/2019 07:40

How is it best to use it? A tiny amount after cleansing? Or after moisturising?

imp2007 · 02/12/2019 07:41

Love today's have just tried it feels lovely on my skin has sunk in without a trace and the smell is amazing - like Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac and Marigold! Perfect for dry winter skin. I intended to use up what I had open first but couldn't resist! Smile

BloodyCats · 02/12/2019 07:42

I would use it as a moisturiser, so best used after cleansing.

imp2007 · 02/12/2019 07:43

I used it in place of my usual moisturiser after cleansing and toning

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 02/12/2019 09:00

Love today’s oil, it’s amazing on my skin - giving me fabulous baby soft skin. I’ve been using this a while and it’s my holy grail oil

The Aveda shampoo and conditioner has made my scalp sore unfortunately. Must be full of sulphites. Shame as it smells amazing

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 02/12/2019 09:12

Sorry - suphates not sulphites (it isn’t wine!)

LEELULUMPKIN · 02/12/2019 09:36

Ugh! Disappointed today. The smell for me is awful! It could make me look like Charlize Theron but the smell is giving me a headache.

It smells really old lady to me sorry.

One for the swap pile.

Agree that the smell is very herbal and I don’t love it. But it’s a lovely oil and the smell is fresh

LEELULUMPKIN · 02/12/2019 09:45

I put a couple of drops of it on the back of my hand and have just had to go and scrub it off.

I should add that the dog is going demented too! I must have got a bit on the sleeve of my jumper and she won't leave me alone!

Not sure if that is a yay or a nay! :)

GinandGingerBeer · 02/12/2019 10:16

Crikey, are we all going to end up with packs of dogs chasing us? Grin (autocorrected to 'chafing'Shock)
"Oh! There goes another one who must have the liberty advent calendar"

LEELULUMPKIN · 02/12/2019 10:20

Lol! I have actually had to go and change my jumper!

Not sure if she loves or hates it but she is a very well trained border collie who never jumps up but it has been driving her demented!

Wear at your peril folks!

I’ve never used herbivore facial oil before. Does anyone have any feedback? I have acne prone skin so don’t want to aggrevate it unnecessarily.

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 02/12/2019 11:59

@Sammi38 my skin is starting to show signs of ageing but also still prone to breakouts and the herbivore has been fine for me. I would say it is better for people like us who don’t have dry skin. It sinks in and makes your skin soft - never greasy. It feels soothing- in fact I used it alone last night after being a bit too gung ho with ‘actives’ and reacting... today my skin feels calm, smooth and the irritation I’ve had the last 24 hours has gone
