Hi All,
Apologies if there is another thread about this, but I couldn't find it. So I thought I would start one.
Happy to get it deleted if there is one already, if not - happy unboxing, let's hear what you think :)

Oh dear chicky that’s so annoying! Do you have anyone who can look through it for you and put everything in order?

Chickydoo · 05/12/2019 07:33

Bloodycats DH could, but suspect he would make it worse.
It doesn't really matter, there is something in every drawer, hopefully some will match up with the cards.
Item I have today, I have decided is actually quite amazing and already want the full size. Enjoy your powder.

youngestisapsycho · 05/12/2019 08:10

You can PM me, I’ve opened it all and have all the cards

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 11:05

Very pleased with this although the size seems a bit stingy.

Not really bothered about today's item, I've still got the Laura Mercier powder from last year gathering dust somewhere. I also don't see the point of eye cream - I've literally never noticed any difference whatsoever when I've tried them before. Any feedback on the Dermalogica one?

I've loved the facial oil, S&C and perfume though so still positive overall Smile

queenofkale · 05/12/2019 16:34

Ok actually excited to try today's. I've wanted to try the hourglass products for a while so it's a good toe in the water for me. Size is a little disappointing though

BloodyCats · 05/12/2019 16:40

Anyone else following Rebecca Humphries review on instagram? She’s very funny so if you aren’t you really should be, but she also makes a point I hadn’t thought of that this product is only really suitable for white women. Not great for a calendar that is meant to cover a variety of people.

I’m hoping this slow start is made up for as the days go on.

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 17:30

I've just looked and it is the travel size. RRP £16!

I'm still using the last one which was full size so I feel we've been ripped off. ☹️ tomorrow better be good I tell ya.....

imp2007 · 05/12/2019 22:57

Hmmmm not sure I'm that excited by today's - not actually tried it yet though so will reserve judgement for now!

imp2007 · 05/12/2019 22:57

Really hoping for a good one tomorrow!!

AesopsMables · 06/12/2019 07:15

Oh dear, another Eucalyptus deodorant, I still have the Malin and Goetz one from the JL calendar last year, at least that one is a stick type whereas this, we are supposed to apply with fingers🤨

Waiting now for someone on here to post their delight and claim it's as good as Unicorn tears, at least then I may try it!

BloodyCats · 06/12/2019 07:18

Well here I come with my unicorn tears, I’m excited about this one! I’m very wary about using aluminium so this is ideal for me.

Hmmm 🤔 not sure about this.
At least I have the right thing in the right drawer today.
I still have last years from the Liberty calendar. I simply prefer a bog standard antiperspirant.

Pomegranatepompom · 06/12/2019 07:22

Disappointed today. I also still have the one from last year. Hope next few day’s are good ....

MrsArcher23 · 06/12/2019 07:36

I’ve been lurking here for a while. I was only chatting at work yesterday about aluminium free deodorants so I’m pleased with today’s one. I thought the stick one last year was easier to apply but I’ll definitely give this a chance.
Yesterday’s was a nice product but a bit mean sized.

BloodyCats · 06/12/2019 07:40

I really hope it gets better as the days go on. It’s a lot of money for so far niche products.

Doubleraspberry · 06/12/2019 07:47

I’ve put this on today so will let you all know how it works. I don’t mind fingertip application.

imp2007 · 06/12/2019 07:58

Finger tip application feels a bit odd but I don't dislike the smell and do like the idea of an aluminium free deodorant so will give this a go today.

imp2007 · 06/12/2019 07:59

How is everyone getting on with the facial oil? I've been using daily in place of my moisturiser I like it and like the fragrance but my skin is now starting to feel a bit dry - should it be in addition to moisturiser - applied before?

LizzieMacQueen · 06/12/2019 08:26

Today's gift retails for £18 for those interested in monetary value.

For me the purchase price is long gone so I genuinely feel like these are small daily presents, lucky dip style. Favourite so far is the perfume.

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 06/12/2019 08:53

@imp2007 I would recommend the following routine for the oil:

Cleanser
Toner (exfoliating active such as AHA or gycolic acid twice/ three times a week)
Serum (for hydrating)
Oil (for moisturising)
If Night time - moisturiser (if you have dry skin)
If Morning - primer

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 06/12/2019 09:03

I opened my calendar all in one go but still following along (I promise no spoilers!)

I’ve been using the products a while now...

Aveda S&C - irritate my scalp. Developed scabs so had to stop using. Must be the sulphates.

Perfume - I don’t like it because it’s quite a sharp green rose smell, too floral and not to my taste. However my mum loves it!

Facial oil - bloody love it. My new holy grail oil. Leaves my skin soft and not oily. No reaction or breakouts after a month of use.

Powder - love this and size is perfect for my make up bag. Blurs all your imperfections but I do find it a bit messy to use. You have to be on it with good skincare to use it, otherwise it will cling to your dry patches and go cakey. Not great around my eyes as it sets into my (very fine lines).

Deodorant - passed to mum as I am in a committed relationship with my dove stick

Dermalogica eye cream- this is a really expensive product so was pleased with this. It’s a good eye cream

bellabelly · 06/12/2019 10:20

I was really thrilled when I saw today's because I thought it was a big pot of moisturiser. Then I realised it was deodorant. Will try it later but feeling a bit disappointed.
